I am very disappointed, I have been coming to Gibbys for 3+ years including my wedding anniversaries & the service & food was always impeccable. Today, it was a huge let down. The homemade bread was dry & the service was abysmal, they spilled water & basically thrusted down our plates in front of us when we had been polite & kind the entire time. The steak was very bland even with their special seasoning blend which is a far cry from their usual cuisine. We were so appalled we did not tip & just paid for our meal. Merry Christmas.
*Had reservations for Christmas under a different name at 4:45pm*

Très belle expérience dans ce magnifique restaurant niché au coeur du vieux Montréal, à deux pas du port. Cuisine raffinée avec des produits frais & de qualité dans une ambiance feutrée très agréable.
Une des excellentes adresse à découvrir lors d'un passage dans cette superbe ville de Montréal 😉!!!

We chose Gibby's based on a few YouTube videos & the online reviews, & it turned out to be the best dining experience we had in Montreal. Everything was outstanding - our food was absolutely delicious, the drinks were fantastic, & our server Anna was truly delightful. Her warmth & professionalism made the evening even more special.

After overhearing another server speaking to guests in a rather condescending way, we appreciated even more how lucky we were to have Anna taking care of us. She was a true gem.
Gibbys will definitely be our go-to restaurant whenever we visit Montreal again. Highly recommended!

Exceptional food! Outstanding service! Diane, our server again this year, 100% attentive to our needs & extremely personable. Gibby's & their Beef Wellington are worth the trip from Toronto every Birthday. In my opinion, the best restaurant in Old Montreal.

The service is second to none. This steakhouse is pricy but you get your value. Everything starts with the house made pickles, bread, & fresh butter.you then move onto the generously large salad options. Prior to your main comes with a palette cleanser of lemon sorbet before. Each main is accompanied by roasted vegetables & a potato in your style. The dessert options are delicious & diverse.

I would always recommend the escargot!

Classy,delicious, warm ambiance. Gibbys is an institution of culinary delight. The food is by far the best in Montreal. The staff is so pleasant & on the ball. If you walk away from your table they re-fold your napkin. The building is the best feeling of old Montreal.
