I went there with my girlfriend for a diner.
The staff are so lovely & we got some vouchers for next orders we make. My gf had a chicken general Tao & I had a soup. Both were amazing! I dared to try there avocado smoothie, & I was pleasantly surprised. We shared also an entry with grilled chicken. Everything was delicious & I can't wait to come back!

Summary: food was not good, rude waiter, bathroom door was impossible to open from the inside (had to have someone open it from the outside.)
The pho was okay, but the grilled meats were salty & dry.
The waiter was rude from the start & poured everyone's water besides mine & the table across from me, where my friends were sitting. We asked if we can sit at another table but he said no because it's for parties more than 4 but proceeds to sit another party of 4 there…
There are 2 bathroom doors, one single & one that has 2 stalls. I went to the one with the stall & the door was broken. There was no lock on it & I could not open it.
I'm not from here, so due to the high rating reviews, I came here but was very disappointed.

We had pho with well done beef 4 stars. The noodles were not fresh but made from dried noodles the broth was above average with its own flair

I had grilled beef plate 4.5 stars nicely marinated with lemon grass & etc

The fried calamari was salt & pepper style though made with bell pepper instead of fresh jalapenos 4.5 stars

Really enjoyed this little Vietnamese place that appears to be run by a young family - very nice people. I really like grilled eel, & they served up the biggest portion I've ever seen accompanied by a couple fried eggs over rice. Very tasty! Their house rolls were also uniquely seasoned & excellent. The decor was classy. It's a BYOB, but there's an SAQ liquor store across the street so I ran over & procured a delicious Spanish red. My only ding was the TV was playing cheesy karaoke music. Not a fan of TVs in the dining room, but that's a pretty minor nit.

Fantastic food! I had the grilled pork with rice & the beef satay with noodles. Loved both!

my husband & I were in Montreal for a few days from the dc area (that has amazing Vietnamese food) so I'd say we have pretty high standards & Gaia totally hit the spot! One of the best meals we had while in Montreal. Highly recommend the grilled chicken with vermicelli noodles & their pad thai with grilled chicken 😋 the service was also incredible & the food came out fresh & hot. Will definitely be back whenever we make our way back to Montreal.

Authentic Vietnamese restaurant with good price! We visited since this restaurant has high rating & not far from the market. The food was really good & I was totally satisfied. We had grilled beef, pho, & fried rice. They were all good. When I come next time, I would like to order more traditional dishes.

Great Vietnamese food & amazing service by the sweetest people. 100% recommend.
GAIA is a place where they treat you like family. Starters are amazing! I feel in love with the Imperial Rolls & the Fried Calamari.
The Pho broth has a nice aromatic taste & can pair with any protein.
Grilled beef was amazing as well!
Don't forget to try their desserts! I took the tiramisu & I heard that this place serves a great fried banana.

Best vietnamese restaurant in Montreal. Hands down. I have been struggling to find a great vietnamese restaurant since COVID as I found the quality of many restaurants went down after.

This has finally been the one that satisfies all the qualities I look for in Vietnamese food. Try the pho, the grilled chicken, or anything really on the menu & it will be all great.
