It was my first brunch. What was ordered: shashuka, grand slam & pancakes. It was ok but not great! The bacon eggs & potatoes are the same quality than when we used to go to a chain breakfast place. I was expecting these ingredients to be refined. Good coffee, excellent service & good vibes. I will probably go back & try something different. It's always packed but good thing we went early.
Came a few months ago for brunch on a long weekend. We were worried there would be a long wait, but luckily we came at a good time & got a table right away. We ordered: Pancakes👌 Chicken & Waffles 💕 The first pancake dish served was actually undercooked & still raw in the middle, so they quickly replaced a new order for us & it was perfect 👌 thick & fluffy with maple butter. The chicken & waffles are definitely one of my favourites the chicken was so juicy & the crispy skin was well spiced. Waffles were nothing special but still good.
It's a really good place for having brunch or breakfast, the staff is so friendly & nice, & the portions are good for the price, I recommend the cold latte.
Really great brunch experience as someone coming in from Toronto for a weekend trip! Service & food were great! Ordered the Foeigwa slam - pancakes were excellent, though light on condiments it was really savory. Others like eggs, bread & sausage were likewise prepared well. Recommend visitors check it out! (Pancake score: 8.5/10)
Here's a long overdue review for Foiegwa! I've been coming here for the past two years, & it never disappoints. The food is consistently great, & on the rare occasion it's not up to expectations they're quick to make things right. But what really sets Foiegwa apart is the service. Everyone is so accommodating & friendly, even when it's super busy. Sandrine, in particular is an absolute gem. She's always got a huge smile on her face, whether it's the middle of July or a blizzard outside. Every time I walk in, no matter my mood I always leave feeling better ☺️ Here are just a few photos of the amazing food from the past couple of years as you can see they always keep a very high standard. A big thanks to the entire brunch team for making every visit so enjoyable ❤️
Went twice. After hours set menu was good value & well presented. Drinks were good. Brunch was mediocre - I expected something more given the restaurant's reputation.
Absolutely brilliant brunch experience this one! The pancakes, the mimosas, the scrambled: everything balanced to perfection. Also the vibe - with its cozy interiors & portraits on the wall - beautiful for a lazy sunday morning.
My husband & I tried their $25 3-course meal & everything was so good! Will definitely come back to try their brunch & other menu items!
Went for a brunch her as a friend of mine really wanted to try this restaurant. Once out of the restaurant, I understood why I never went back to Foiegwa since my first visit in 2018. The place is really small & when it gets busy (which is the case for brunch time during the weekend), the noise makes it impossible to enjoy the atmosphere. It can really give you a headache! Besides the atmosphere, I honestly think that the food is not worth the vibe. If compared to other places, the fried chicken is Ok, the fries came cold which wasn't very appealing & the Foiegwa Slam was ok but nothing special about it.
I have been there 3-4 times for both brunch & dinner. The dishes are always great, BUT the drinks are outstanding!! You might feel a bit cramped up in busy night. Overall is a worthy place to try! P.S. The fried chicken with waffle & the black truffle pasta with egg yoke are my top reformations.
I honestly loved this place. Just maybe a few tweaks would it make it even better. For one...I know it's a brunch service but the portions could be a little bigger. My pasta for example was $28 & though very delightful & very flavorful, was really small for such a price. & the salad as well..I'm not a big guy but I'm a man. I need more than four forks full of arugula & greens. Overall experience was good for me & my date but honestly, I think she ordered what I should've 🤣
Bref un must a essayer!
Really nice place for brunch with friends! The service was very good. The staff is friendly! I took the croque madame & a matcha. They were very good!
My third time going to Foiegwa & I am never disappointed. A nice restaurant, fair pricing, delicious food & kind staff. I recommend the fries( they are a must have!!), the truffle pasta & any kind of cocktail. A small restaurant with a hopping ambiance make sure to reserve. Looking forward to trying the brunch!
