Nous sommes allés déjeuner au Foiegwa & nous n'avons vraiment pas été déçus. Le déjeuner est seulement disponible les vendredis, samedis & dimanches, & honnêtement, ça vaut vraiment le détour.
Ce qui m'a particulièrement plu, c'est qu'ils prennent le concept du déjeuner classique & le poussent beaucoup plus loin. Les prix restent sensiblement dans la même gamme que les restaurants déjeuner habituels, mais les plats sont beaucoup plus recherchés, avec énormément de saveurs & des combinaisons auxquelles je n'aurais jamais pensé moi-même & qui fonctionnent vraiment bien.
Tout ce que nous avons mangé était excellent & les ingrédients étaient très frais. J'ai vraiment été satisfait de l'expérience. L'ambiance est super agréable, le décor est magnifique & le service était très bon. & petit point bonus pour les mimosas!
Je recommande vraiment cet endroit si vous êtes tannés des restaurants déjeuner classiques qui servent toujours un peu la même chose. C'est une belle façon de découvrir quelque chose de différent tout en restant dans des prix assez raisonnables.
Petit conseil : prévoyez un peu d'attente, car l'endroit est souvent plein. Nous avons attendu environ 20 minutes pour avoir une table, mais honnêtement, ça en valait la peine.
Overall, a very disappointing dinner experience. We ended up waiting about 90 mins for our main dishes. Customers who arrived much later than us had already received their food & were getting ready to leave. I asked one of the servers to check on our food because we had been waiting for too long. He said he would check, but never came back to update us. Soon the staff came to offer us the dessert menu, & we told them we were still waiting for our main dishes. Once they finally realized what happened, the dishes came out within just a couple of minutes, which made the long wait even harder to understand.
Unfortunately, the main dishes were not particularly good either. There was also no apology, no explanation, & no gesture to make up for the experience. We paid the full bill & left a tip, but we left the restaurant feeling deeply disappointed.
It was supposed to be a nice birthday dinner for my friend, so I really wish the experience had been different. I normally don't leave negative reviews.
The food was good, but honestly I wouldn't go unless you're getting the late-night $25 menu. Paying 4x the price for the same portions just isn't worth it.
I ordered the escargot & it was good but they were hard to get out of the shells with the regular utensils they gave us, & there was no bread to soak up the sauce.15 minutes later, the table next to us ordered the same thing & theirs came with bread.
The mains were also way too small for the price. I paid $26.50 for the spaghetti, which you can literally get as part of their $25 late-night menu. We also got charged $7.50 for a bottle of sparkling water without being told it cost extra.
Two appetizers & two mains came to over $100 with no drinks, & we stopped for food on the way home because we were still starving.
The atmosphere is really nice & the food itself was good, but definitely not worth the regular prices. Feels like one of those places TikTok overhyped. I'd only go back for the $25 late-night menu. Not a bad place at all just not worth the full prices.
Solid classic French Bistro fare. It's nice to go into a place & be able to get frogs legs & escargot. Cocktails were excellent, & it had that cozy Bistro feel to it. Food was well seasoned, & as stated before, classic French. The server very kindly threw in & amazing chocolate mousse for my birthday... Completely unbidden, but appreciated. Definitely a must.
Le service était super. La nourriture était bonne quoique les patates déjeuner aurait pu être plus frais, mais je peux comprendre que c'est fait par batch pour un dimanche matin. J'étais un peu gêné de voir que sur le terminal de paiement les options de tips commencent par 18%. J'ai pas de problème à donner plus quand j'ai apprécier le service, mais j'ai l'impression de me perdre dans le débat de la culture du tip en Amérique. J'me dis en général c'est plus cher sortir qu'avant, donc dans le pourboire de base le service voit un augmentation. Mais si la base devient 18% j'ai l'impression de me faire hit deux fois par l'inflation.
