Creative, buzzing ambiance, great food. But what really stole the show were the cocktails (cinco de mayo) & the desserts (sweet clover crème caramel)!

The service was disappointing. We had just finished eating when they immediately took our plates away. The waitress seemed very eager for us to leave she brought the bill right away because we didn't order dessert. She looked upset the entire time & never smiled, even though we treated her with a lot of respect & kindness. The menu we were expecting wasn't available, & they didn't have the dessert that was mentioned on TikTok. Overall, the food quality was very average.

Foiegwa used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but unfortunately the drop in quality has become increasingly noticeable.

I went to Foiegwa several times in 2025 & had consistently good experiences. The space is charming & beautiful, & the service is usually above average (& yes, the staff is undeniably good-looking - keep that part going).

In early January, I went for brunch & was surprised by what seemed like a reduced portion. My eggs benedict arrived with only one egg on the bread. I pointed this out to the server, since the menu clearly says'eggs,' not'egg,' & everyone else at the table received two. An extra poached egg was brought to me - which I appreciated - but the situation still left me uncomfortable.

For dessert, I ordered pancakes, which were burnt in my opinion. I've attached a photo so you can judge for yourselves.

A few days later, I came back for dinner &, unfortunately, didn't know that the late-night menu previously offered at $25.99 was no longer available. The food itself was good, but after these two experiences, I no longer feel that the value for money is as strong as it used to be.

Excellent food, portion size, environment & staff. There's no'bad choice' in their menu, everything seems to be delicious, I've been there 4 times & every single experience I had was good.

I'd heard so many good things about this restaurant, so I finally decided to try it out - but honestly, it was mediocre at best. I ordered the late-night table d'hôte, starting with a stale potato salad, followed by a dry, cold, & pasty truffle pasta that barely had any truffle flavour. For dessert, I got a sandy brownie that felt like a piece that sat on the counter for days. The wine selection by the glass was okay. Given that it's only 25$ for the whole 3 course menu, it's definitely not bad, but I expected so much better for such an institution.

Foiegwa is such a hidden gem. It's small, but that's exactly what makes it cozy (corner table gang 🙋🏻?♀?). The lighting & vibe make you feel right at home.

We went for Montréal à table, & the service was great from the start - friendly, clear, & attentive. I had the shrimp cocktail, spaghetti, & tartine. The shrimp cocktail was generous & flavorful, & the spaghetti… honestly, a party in my tummy. Perfectly cooked & so comforting.

What stood out most were the little details - the person who brought our food wasn't the same one who took the order, but he knew exactly who each dish was for (no awkward'who had the spaghetti?' moment 👏). Plates were cleared at the right time, never rushed.

The food felt homemade, full of care - the kind that brings back memories. My date loved the dessert too.

If you're looking for a cozy spot with great service & heartwarming food, Foiegwa is it.

Nous sommes venus pour tester le menu à 26 dollars entrée plat dessert de fin de soirée, & j'ai un peu été déçu sur plusieurs points, l'entrée avec des oeufs durs à la truffe accompagnée d'une salade n'était pas à retenir, la truffe était présente mais un peu légère, la salade était elle imbibé de sauce ce qui était un peu dommage,
Le tartare avec frites était bon, dommage que les frites soient beaucoup trop salé, ça gâche un peu…
& pour finir le brownie était ok,
L'ambiance du restaurant était sympa quoique un peu bruyante mais dans l'ensemble bien,
Le menu a 26 dollars vaut le coût comparé au prix affiché en routine cependant cela ne donne pas forcément envie d'y retourner,

Overrated for the price. The portions were small & over priced. We left hungry & the flavours weren't great. Again, for the price we were hoping for more. For example, the pasta is $30 for such a small amount. We were fine with having a 2 hour time limit but the food took a while to come out & then we got dessert but they forgot about the sparkler for my friends birthday so they had to come out with a piece of bread with a sparkler in it. Then before we were done eating they told us our time was up & we had to leave. It just felt rushed & disingenuous as an experience.

We opted for the'menu découverte'. Each dish was well-prepared & showcased the chef's attention to detail.

The portions are medium-sized but surprisingly filling. The highlight, of course, was the lovely foie gras, which lives up to the restaurant's name. It was rich & flavorful

Another standout was the spaghetti with egg, black truffle, & parmesan. The combination of flavors & textures was lovely.

To finish off the meal, we indulged in a dessert of chocolate mousse topped with an almond tuile. The mousse was decadent & perfectly complemented by the crispy wafer cookie, creating a delightful end to our dining experience. 🍫🍪

Overall, my visit to @foiegwa was fantastic. With well-crafted dishes, a cozy atmosphere.

Super soirée. Le restaurant était plein mais ils nous ont trouvé une table, nous avons pu savourer un delicieux repas & un très bon dessert profiteroles au chocolat. Je recommande ce restaurant.

L'ambiance est superbe, le prix est dérisoire, les cocktails sont incroyables mais la cuisine semble avoir la prétention d'être haute, malgré quelques vilains défauts. Outre l'assiette de spaghetti servie avec une cuillère ; pire : une cuillère servie *dans* l'assiette - le gâteau en dessert était lui aussi servi avec une cuillère, on repassera pour les coutumes de restauration 🤷 -, les deux plats principaux étaient drôlement salés (toutefois très bons). Peut-être pas très esthétiques car (ignorons la cuillère) les deux plats sont saupoudrés de fromage. Un tartare de boeuf plus italien que classique américain, mais avec un oeuf & de la sauce. Les ingrédients semblent de bonne qualité, l'entrée (velouté de champignons) absolument délicieuse. & une mayonnaise promise pour les frites qui n'a jamais été servie. 🙃🙂

I've been coming here for years & i'm usually always happy but last night was a real shame. We were rushed through our entire dinner service & not one waiter came to check-in on us during the main course. I always take the spaghetti which is usually a 1000/10, but it was cold when served. When the waitress came to ask for dessert she told us we had 10 minutes left to order coffee & desserts. She also proceeded to show us the people waiting for our table. I'm sorry, but do better at organizing your tables. Don't guilt trip your current customers out. We were enjoying our drinks & food & we really would've wanted the coffee/dessert before we left. It's a shame because I loved this place, but that experience left me not wanting to come back.

Belle soirée - atmosphère accueillant, nourriture savoureuse, service attentionné! Que demandez de plus! J'ai adoré le risotto! Nous fêtions notre anniversaire de mariage avec des amis & la serveuse nous a offert un digestif après le dessert & à même trinqué avec nous! Petite touche dont on va se rappeler!

La nourriture toujours bonne mais il faudrait penser à diversifier le menu du soir après 21h... en 3 mois nous y sommes allés 3 fois & ça n'a pas changé du tout, même pas une petite variante sur le dessert ou les entrées... nous reviendrons quand il y aura du nouveau. & attention aussi, il est impossible de vous joindre par téléphone... c'est embêtant quand on veut annuler/modifier une réservation & qu'on a notre carte de crédit en garantie 😬

Deux menus découvertes; foie gras avec le pain extraordinaire, entrées asperges excellentes, risotto pétoncles super, bavette & frites c'était ok mais un peu sceptique sur la qualité de la viande & la sauce (frites très bonnes). J'ai beaucoup aimé le pannacota / céréales pour dessert. Service bien rythmé. Toujours plein donc vaut mieux réserver.

Loved this place. The after 9pm 3 course meal for $25 CAD was awesome. You can still get items off the regular menu, but don't pass on the 3 course one. Choice of fois grois/cucumber salad, hamburger/truffle pasta, & a dessert. I'd pass on the tuna tartare, but otherwise everything was great. Small, cozy, & very young (lots of college students) after 9pm. Reservations are a must for that special. Place holds only 42 people. Service was excellent too

Would go back for the drinks alone. Boy am glad the bar tender from the Atwater Cocktail club was tending at Foiegwa that night! Sipped on the Golden Wind. Lots of ingredients in there but you taste ALL of them TOGETHER. Lots going on in there, enough for your taste buds to lose their minds! The gold is a nice touch but messy. The Cinco de Mayo was good too. Fun drink but would gladly just order a second Gold Wind. Food is also nice. Torchon is only ok (might actually only have oysters next time...or tartare as app) but the scallop risotto nailed it. First, risotto is cooked perfectly, titering between barely uncooked & cooked. The scallops were too few but perfectly cooked. Tender buttery & seared enough on the outside. Flavours were subtle yet bold & satisfying. Bravo. The tartare was good. Flavour is on point but I wish they had a cut that makes it more tender. It was a tiny bit too chewy. Would still order it again though. The dessert was good but forgettable. So I actually forgot what it was.

Vous devez aller & profiter du service 3 services entrée plat dessert 25$ APRÈS 21h du dimanche à jeudi ! Ensuite aller dans leur speakeasy ! Service top nourriture top portion pas mal ! Le restaurant est petit MAIS très très beau, je vous conseil de booker d'avance ! Je recommande à 100% le restaurant

Carte resserée gage de produits frais. Des plats sans sophistication inutile, juste au goût équilibré & bons. Voilà, c'était bon de l'entrée au dessert. Belle carte de vins mais je pense qu'il faudrait proposer un peu plus d'options au verre. Très bon cocktail. Le service est comme les plats : juste & sans prétention, simple mais professionnel. Une bonne adresse !

Nous étions venus récemment pour le brunch & avions beaucoup aimé. Nous y sommes retournés cette semaine pour tester le service du soir avec une carte riche en plats de qualité & de belles propositions. Serveurs adorables & disponibles, ambiance chaleureuse, endroit vraiment cosy avec la lumière tamisé le soir, produits de qualité qu'on sent dans l'assiette & plat travaillés. On s'est vraiment régalés de l'entrée au dessert & service impeccable. Mention spéciale pour les cuisses de grenouille, le foie gras maison qui était délicieux, les escargots & le tartare juste incroyable ainsi que la mousse au chocolat. Nous reviendrons!!

I had the tasting menu, the cesear salad was just lettuce with parmesan & bits of bacon, a little sauce or something would have been nice, truffle spaghetti was good but definitely not as good as before. The truffle taste was barely there, & the dessert , chocolate mousse was not edible , wayyyyy to sweet. Also my friend had the onion soup as an entree, it was way too liquid. This used to be one of my favourite restaurants, but the food quality is definitely not there anymore.
