Review Summary

Overall, reviewers describe Fleurs & Cadeaux as a high quality, creative Japanese dining spot where sashimi, duck and ramen stand out, and the bar counter offers a front row view of the kitchen while the tasting menu shows thoughtful execution. The ambiance and service are frequently praised, with many noting impeccable wine and sake pairings and a warm, refined atmosphere suited to dates or small groups. However, some guests mention small portions for the price and occasional slow or rushed service, as well as moments of busy or loud dining. Reservations are recommended, seating at the bar can be tight, and the place tends to fill up, but the overall impression is that Fleurs & Cadeaux is a top Montreal pick for a creative, high quality dining experience with a lively yet intimate vibe.

FOOD. GOOD. In all seriousness, every single item we had on Fleurs & Cadeaux's menu showed great attention to detail, with some unique fusion of savoury flavours. Everything was a highlight in its own regard. Nothing missed, even slightly. As such, I highly recommend the soy-based fried chicken, as well as the swordfish, tuna & salmon sashimi. The tofu, duck, & braised pork were also unparalleled dishes. To finish, although I consider their Crème Brûlée to have more so the consistency of a Crème Caramel (thicker), the combination of matcha & fresh blueberries made it an exquisite dessert. Also, honorable mention to the Yuné cocktail. Bang for your buck.

Everything was amazing here & easily one of the best restaurant experiences I've ever had. It was definitely a full experience more than just food. Server made us feel like we're visiting family & she was super warm & attentive. Food was really tasty & we ordered 5 different dishes & all were great. Their fried chicken was not exactly what we usually like, but we're glad we gave it a try. We had a great time here & will go back to this restaurant for sure next time we visit Montreal.

We loved our experience! The food was all delicious. We ordered the picked vegetables & tamago appetizers, as well as the fried tofu & fried chicken. SO yummy. The orange wine was also amazing. Great spot

My second visit. The vegetable dishes & mochi dessert are a little meh, but all other dishes we had (chicken, both noodle dishes, duck, tataki) were really fantastic. Nice wine selection & great, relaxed youthful service. I highly recommend.

Not many options abut great food. Love the fried chicken & the sauce.

Most uncomfortable seats ever at chef's table...pads desperately needed.
We decided to skip dessert just to leave earlier.

First meal in Montreal & it was a nice way to start our time with family. They were kind in providing alternative options for the kids & the fried chicken was better than most Japanese joints. Enjoyed the Charashi but would pass on the pulled noodles & the extra bowl of rice. Otherwise it was a ball!
