Reviews describe Falafel St. Jacques as a standout for vegetarians and meat eaters alike, with the Lachine location noted for a welcoming atmosphere and comfortable seating. The food is consistently praised for freshness, bold flavor, and a well crafted texture, especially the falafel which is described as freshly fried, light, crunchy on the outside and soft inside, and the house-made pita that is fluffy and satisfying. A wide range of vegan and vegetarian options is highlighted, including plant-based proteins and vegan shawarma, with staff who are friendly, patient, and attentive, making guests feel well cared for. There is also mention of a mini store inside that adds to the experience. Comparison to other Middle Eastern spots often places Falafel St. Jacques at the top, with many calling it the best falafel in Montreal or North America. Value is a theme, with comments about good food at reasonable prices, though a few notes mention unclear pricing on pre-made counter items and labeling on containers. The overall impression is one of genuine hospitality, flavorful plant-forward fare, and a sense of being storytellers of spice and soul.
The Notre Dame lachine up & coming trendy street is larger than the original spot. Tables & chairs inside & outside makes it a pleasant experience with Falafel St Jacques great middle eastern food. Place is exceptionally clean , your food prepared on the spot , many varieties of dishes to choose from & all vegetarian & reasonably priced . Pita & all baked goods & salads are made fresh daily on site , every salad is available individually for take out , as are baked goods & the vegetarian shawarma, etc.
Have eaten here several times, By far the best falafel I have ever eaten. I am in no way even close to being a vegetarian but their falafel will definitely satisfy you. I've heard from others that their other vegetarian foods are also delicious. I am never disappointed when eating from falafel St Jacques
I have heard about the Falafel St-Jacques for quite a while but never had the chance to try it out. All vegetarian? not usually my thing but wow. I am going to be honest, it is pretty good. yummm After that i went two more times. They have all kinds of vegetables sides, cucumber salads, beets, mushrooms, coleslaw, guacamole, coucous, quinoa, eggplants, tofu, choux de bruxelles, corn salad, & you name it! They all tasted good really What I love about it, they give a pretty generous portion, too much that you can't even finish the whole plate, I always bring the second half the next day for lunch they have plates or sandwiches, decent prices, they will also ask if you want hot sauce on top or on the side, a must-try if you are a spice addict just like me! Nicely decorated, great ambiance, clean, great friendly staff, good service .parking on the street but easy, not too busy If you have thought of trying this place, i strongly suggest it. i regret not trying it earlier!

Wanted something to eat that wasn't too sweet or too filling & would be ready quickly, for that time period between lunch & dinner. My lunch that day wasn't very filling so I was already feeling hungry at 4pm (when I picked up my daughter after school). Came upon this place. Clean, modern decor, lots of yummy packaged desserts & a colorful display of veggies/hummus/baba ganoush. Tried the faux chicken platter & it was delicious - like it's better than real chicken!! I'm not a vegetarian but I always try to get more veggies into my diet. Got some beet salad, cucumber salad, hummus, shredded cabbage & some sweet potatoes on the platter. Because of the variety of flavors (& colors) I felt satisfied without feeling bloated/full. I would give this 4.5 stars if I could. I don't usually give 5 stars unless I get consistent quality/experience over at least 2 visits. Anyways, much better & fresher tasting than Boustan/Amir. Very animated & engaged owner/server. This year, I'm making it a goal to only go to mom-pop places as I find the service/quality better & more unique than franchises. Anyways, I am looking forward to visiting again & trying their faux meat platter, faux chicken nuggets & their homemade desserts (I saw them take out a fresh tray of hamantaschens).
Falafel St Jacques in Lachine is a standout vegetarian dining destination. Their falafel & accompanying dishes are consistently praised for both their exceptional taste & visually appealing presentation. The owner's generosity & welcoming nature add a personal touch that enhances the dining experience, making every visit memorable. As the best vegetarian option in town, Falafel St Jacques comes highly recommended for anyone seeking delicious, wholesome meals served with a smile. Pairing with the best bubble tea in town across the street perfect wedding ❤️
Best Mediterranean sandwich in the city. They overpack it with fresh veggies full of flavours, super filling & you don't realize it's vegetarian. Henok & the team are super friendly. You have to eat here!
