Bienvenue au restaurant Ethan, situé sur la rue de la Gauchetière, coin St-Urbain, en plein coeur du quartier chinois de Montréal. Vous serez ravis de déguster cette savoureuse cuisine chinoise authentique, où tous les plats coûtent moins de 10$! The food was great & affordable & did not have to wait long for the food to come however, the lady that helped was so rude & very impolite. In fact all of them seem like they don't wanna help you when you are about to ask for something. When we are about to pay the bill, we obviously do not want to leave a tip for their awful service so we clicked'Skip' but the lady from the cashier told us'The tip was not included on the total' so she had to do it again & forced us to leave a tip for them & made sure that we do so.

Food was generally okay. However, PLEASE keep in mind that you MUST tip, because you will not allowed to leave without tipping, & if you ask for an explanation, the waiters will say to you'because this is a part of the service'.

Hey read this review I've been here multiple times & I know what I'm talking about
As a person of non Asian descent the waiters are extremely rude & uninviting to me & my friends. We would ask for water or a container to bring back the food. Tell me why the waiters does not even talk back & when she brought back the containers & she basically threw them on the table without saying a word. Keep in mind I try to be as polite as possible when I go out to Restaurant because I respect the worker in the service industry. But these Women didn't have a bone of politeness in their bodies.
Don't get me wrong I will always give a tip to my waiters, I know they work hard & sometimes depend on tips but when I don't even get the basic politeness & no hello how are you, it's problem. So I didn't feel like tipping but when I tried to leave the restaurant there was 4-5 workers surrounding me telling me that I HAD to tip more than I had already tipped (because yes I still did tip despite the terrible service), which I didn't appreciate after the service I received.
I've been to this restaurant at least six times & I think there was only one times we had a server who didn't seem to be mad at the customer.(Also there was a worker watching a TV show on full blast & she was having a loud mental break down, don't get me wrong again I know all mental health but like can I eat in piece my friends cat had just died)
I read the reviews & the people who enjoyed the customer service seemed to be of Asian background, I'm not assuming anything just putting that out there
Now you might be wondering why is this girl still going if she hates the customer service. But the truth lies in the dish #87. Now these are the best noodles I've have ever eaten in my life, it is me & my best friend's comfort food & I recommend to everyone. The portions are very good & they have good price not like the customer service. I hope most of my money goes to the chef's.
Conclusion do I think you should come, yes but be prepared for Bad customer service & good food

Le plat était bien présenté, les portions généreuses, le goût était identique à celui des plats de supermarché (rien d'exceptionnel), le service était passable & l'endroit correct. Nous avons mangé une soupe au bouillon de poulet, des raviolis au porc & des nouilles. Nous avons également goûté aux raviolis au poulet, mais leur saveur était indéfinissable. Le prix était raisonnable.

HORRIBLE SERVICE & FOODS!!!!
please do go in that restaurant they so aggressive & racist!!! & forcing 18% tip but they dont have a good service & the food is not good & the woman with short hair is super crazy like the other crew!!!! so disappointing experience & i dont know why this restaurant is still exist..

I live in Toronto, I went there for visiting & this place was really amazing in price, food , & the quality & quality, I wish they had a headquarters in Toronto, that would be so cool.

Delicious & fast food, it was busy with hightail turn over.
The pan fried pork dumplings, Xiao long boa & Cantonese Chow mein were great, my child ate a whole order of the rice noodle rolls which was super fresh.

On est pas dans la haute gastronomie mais le rapport qualité prix est au rdv.
C'est un restaurant chinois classique, connu pour ses plats, y compris des spécialités cantonaises, dans un cadre simple & sobre. Très bon riz frit & dumpling pas cher. Coup de coeur pour le bubble tea au lait de coco.

Decent food but Bad service! they're acted like I asked for free food but no I paid every dollars out of my pocket. I didn't not expect wonderful service but at least do not yell at your customers.

My partner & I were here a couple of weeks ago. Basic looking restaurant but was full so that drew us in. We shared a starter/appetiser & 2 mains. Too much food! All very tasty. Had a lovely chat with our waitress who recognised our British accents from Hong-Kong where she came from. Can recommend it.
