The food is incredible! I always take the vegetarian chow mein & the rolls... THE ROLLS ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD! I really recommend this restaurant if you want to make sure to eat very well

This hidden gem now becomes one of my favorite spot to go for dinner with friends, not only that all the dishes are delicious, it is also affordable! The deco brings me back to the old fashioned styles restaurant.
The service was quick & super friendly! The portion is big enough for individual. I will definitely try more dishes next time when I come back there! I recommend everyone to try out this place.

I came here for the drinks, recommended by a friend! The milk tea & lemon tea is so good, just like that of Hong Kong! The service is so good, I had a great time here because a waitress called Angela & I had great conversations! 🔥

Amazing experience at Dobe & Andy & it's all thanks to the staff there. Alex, Iola & Derf (I might have gotten the spelling a bit off here) were extremely hospitable & even helped us lower our bill!

We'd initially ordered 4 plates with 3 meats each but Alex went out of his way to come over to our table & explain to us that getting a half portion of duck & 2 sides of rice would be cheaper & still give us roughly the same amount of food we were ordering which was extremely thoughtful.

The food was so good that we came back for round 2 on a 3 day visit to Montreal.

I will say that some of the other reviews made us a bit apprehensive about visiting but we decided to roll the dice & I'm so glad we did! Would highly recommend visiting the place for the casual ambience, top tier hospitality & amazing food.

Kudos to Alex & the rest of the team for showing us such a good time, thank you all 👏🏽 🙏🏼

Je recommande à 100%. C'est tellement délicieux. Ça n'a rien à voir avec les restaurants chinois que l'on peut connaître ailleurs au Québec. La viande est juteuse & croustillante à la fois. Nous avons pris un chowmein & c'est le meilleur de tous les temps que j'ai mangé. Allez-y, vous serez conquis.

great bang for buck & best char siu I've had in montreal! I recommend ordering a two meat + rice combo with a noodles to split between three people, you'll be very full after.

We had the chicken & Pork signature menu with rice & bok choy, it was excellent! They even added tasty sauce with our meal. Great sevice. Will come back again.Definitely recommend!

Dobe & Andy came highly recommended as a must-try spot for Chinese BBQ in Montreal, so we were really looking forward to it-especially coming from Toronto, where great & affordable Chinese BBQ options are everywhere.

Unfortunately, it ended up being a big disappointment. When we arrived, it was a bit chaotic & unclear whether we were supposed to line up or just wait to be seated-there wasn't much direction. Once we got seated & looked at the menu, we noticed the prices were quite high compared to what we're used to in Toronto. Still, we were hopeful the food would make up for it.

But when the food arrived, the portions were underwhelming for the price. The large green vegetable dish alone was over $14. The BBQ pork (cha siu) was a major letdown-dry, thickly cut, & lacking flavor. The roast pork was also dry & didn't come with nearly enough sauce. The BBQ duck was decent, but nothing special.

Overall, we left pretty disappointed. Honestly, I could walk into any Chinese BBQ spot in Toronto-even the ones inside grocery stores-& get better BBQ pork than what we had here. It just didn't live up to the hype.

Our waitress was incredible. Despite us being a little late on our reservation, she was extremely warm towards our group & super enthusiastic. She saw that we were foodies & wanted to taste everything so she took the time to strategize how we would go about our order to maximize the amount of items we could taste.

The food was delicious. We got the 4 meat platter, shrimp & duck fried rice, chilli wonton noodles, duck chow main, veg of the day & soup. Everything was delicious.

I highly recommend this place & serious kudos to our waitress for being such a rockstar & providing authentically warm & enthusiastic service to our table.

The food is very tasty & not overly greasy. The only way I could describe it is what I imagine Chinese food tasted like in the 70s. I will definitely eat here again & recommend to my friends. Hidden gem.

Meilleure valeur à Montréal Dobe & Andy se taille une place de choix dans le quartier chinois. Après plusieurs visites, un de nos endroits préférés pour un repas sans prétention mais qui laisse une bonne impression. Allez-y pour un choix de 2 viandes (porc BBQ + canard) & ajoutez-y un légume vert comme du gui lan (broccoli chinois, servi avec sauce aux huîtres). Les oignons verts font toute la différence. Service rapide & amical par un staff efficace & allumé sous un feu roulant de commandes des clients. Salle à manger décorée d'images retros de films style Kung Fu avec un plafond rappelant les meilleurs années du Funkytown ou du Palais des Miroirs. Mise-à-jour octobre 2024 : le spécial du jeudi, boeuf Hofun à essayer, très bon, seulement disponible le jeudi de chaque semaine. Beau, bon, pas cher. Fortement recommandé. Disclaimer: I went to this restaurant at the end of the day, about an hour & a half before closing on a Monday. So I'm not going to judge too harshly. I really enjoyed the vibe. I kept thinking I was in a movie in the 80s. Which is great. The service was great. I'd like to try another dish before I make a final judgment. Because the chicken fried rice & dumplings were super good. My BBQ beef was a little "bony." What can I say? I'd still recommend it, though. Also, it wasn't super expensive for what you got!

definitely do not recommend this place. the food didn't have a taste except for the spring rolls. i had to wait 15 minutes to get the key for the bathroom & the waiters forgot our drinks even though we reminded them twice.

I had the chance to try a lot of items on the menu over a period of time & honestly, flavour wise, they never fail. It's good, it's efficient, it's tasteful. What a gem. I love a couple of establishments in the city that I feel like they're the heart & soul of Montreal culture & Dobe & Andy is Definitely up there. 10/10 I always recommend!

Sous la recommandation de Gurky, nous avons adoré les plats que nous avions choisis. Portions généreuses sans être disproportionnées. C'est arrivé chaud, bien cuit & bien assaisonné sans être trop sucré ou salé. Très bons chefs.

Nous avons mangé sur place & la serveuse nous a recommandé le plat de 4 viandes. Nous avons aussi commandé des légumes & la salade de concombre. Tout était succulent & la serveuse était super. Nous recommandons !! :)
