Dobe & Andy was the first place we visited during our short stay in Montreal, & it certainly set the bar high.
Unfortunately, some of the meat had already sold out by the time we arrived, but the Char Siu pork was absolutely excellent. Honestly, I could have eaten it every day we were there.
Don't be put off by some of the comments about the décor or the access to the toilet. The food & service are both top-notch. The restaurant may not be the most aesthetically pleasing, but when the Char Siu pork is this good, who really cares?
I only wish we'd had the chance to eat there more often. &, having now left Montreal, I'm also kicking myself for not buying one of their T-shirts!
Highly recommended - especially for the Char Siu pork.
No way I could give less than 5 stars to this place (in this economy, absolutely not). Very (very) good portions & flavours. The space is ugly yes, but I didn't go there to take pics, but to feed myself. Highly recommended for groups of friends, to share the enormous portions of meat they have. Service was also friendly!
All food is delicious. We finished eating all foods. This is the most delicious Chinese cuisine in China town of Montreal. We love roast pork, duck & fried rice. The price is ok.
Highly recommend for all tourists.
(Time out market location)
Crispy pork lacked flavour. Asked for chili sauce, tried to charge me $3 for a bit of sauce. Absolute daylight robbery, wouldn't recommend
My colleagues & I came for lunch & everybody loved their dish, which also arrived quite quickly. Angela was the perfect waitress: professional, knowledgeable, & so warm & sweet with us. She went above & beyond to make sure we had a great experience, from her recommendations to how attentive she was throughout the meal. She even took photos for us & clearly knew what she was doing: she snapped several so we'd have good options to choose from. It really elevated the whole lunch. Highly recommend asking for her!
Dobe & Andy is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Montreal! Every dish is packed with flavor, the portions are generous, & the service is always warm & efficient.
If you're visiting for the first time, don't miss their BBQ pork (char siu)-it's perfectly caramelized, tender, & incredibly flavorful. Their crispy roast pork has amazingly crunchy skin with juicy meat, & the roast duck is rich, succulent, & a must-order. The wonton noodle soup is another standout, featuring springy noodles, delicate wontons, & a comforting, savory broth.
Everything tastes fresh & authentic, making it easy to see why this place is always busy. Whether you're craving Cantonese barbecue or a comforting bowl of noodles, Dobe & Andy consistently delivers. Highly recommended but needs improvement with the waiting time.
Trained all the way from Toronto to try this place out!!! The food was sooo incredible, the BBQ meat platter changed my life 😍😍😍 highly recommend 🙏🙏🙏 thanks for the amazing food & service
The food is incredible! I always take the vegetarian chow mein & the rolls... THE ROLLS ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD! I really recommend this restaurant if you want to make sure to eat very well! It's my favorite restaurant ever, I go at least twice a month!
Simply outstanding. Every bite is packed with flavour & authenticity. Many delicious options for vegetarians. Great for all occasions, from large groups celebrating special days to quick comfy bites with your nearest & dearest. &-affordable! Also highly recommend the catering, very accommodating, fast & attentive.
Very overcrowded & the food was incredibly bland, the'broth' seemed like a mix of water & a bit of salt, overall terrible. The duck didn't taste bad but it had massive bones so the meat wasn't even worth it. It's insane it was even crowded in the first place. The drinks never arrived.
The food was so awfully bland I decided to take it home & season it myself since 16 dollars was already a punch on the face. Literally just flavorless noodles in water & oil with a few stalks of long broccoli. The'signature' dish part is still a mystery to me of how it would even become a signature. I took it to go & then they gave me an inappropriate container which leaked the entire way home. Absolute disaster & I don't recommend people to come here.
The tables are so close to each other that you'll be lucky not to get a headache while listening to the sound of multiple people around you.
