Absolutely gorgeous cafe! Every single travel / food blog recommended I check out Crew Collective & Cafe for some of the best coffee & unique cafes in Montreal, so I knew I had to give this lovely spot a try. They absolutely deserve all the popularity, both for their gorgeous building & phenomenal coffee. The cafe is hosted in the historic Royal Bank tower & features beautiful marble floors & murals across the ceiling. It feels remarkably grand, especially for a cafe or coworking space. There are plenty of tables scattered across the main floor, but there are also small conference rooms you can set up shop in (they look a bit like old bank teller offices).
The coffee itself was fantastic. The latte was a bit milkier than I'm used to, but it was quite creamy & smooth. The beans were just the slightest bit nutty, & it was all-around a delightful cafe.
Great coffee even better aesthetic. Get's crowded a lot. Would not recommend going here for studying .
This is one of the coolest coffee shops I've ever been in. The building is just beautiful! We rented a meeting room for 13 people & it was a smooth, professional, easy experience. Highly recommend!!
Amazing experience! The building is simply georgous, the orange brioche delicious & the staff attention was pretty good, they were friendly but special shotout to Ulises, he just overkilled with the attention & warmth, he also gave us recommendations on what to do in the city during our visit, definitely recommended.
I had the pleasure of visiting Crew Collective & Cafe L today, & I can honestly say it's one of the best coffee experiences I've ever had. The baristas were friendly & knowledgeable, taking the time to explain their different roasts & even suggesting a drink based on my preferences.
I tried their dulce de leche , & it was absolutely perfect - smooth, balanced, & rich with flavor. The latte art was a beautiful touch too! The shop itself has a cozy & historical vibe, with plenty of seating options for both individuals & groups. Plus, their selection of pastries was a great addition to the coffee.
What really stands out about this place is the attention to detail & the level of care they put into everything they do. I'll definitely be coming back for more, & I highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates high-quality coffee & a great environment to relax or work.
When I visited, I wanted to try their croissant they ran out 😭, but I tried a bagel with butter, cream cheese, & jam-& wow! It was incredible. Highly recommend!
The coffee was below average & chocolate pastry was good but fairly standard. It's also very overpriced.
I wasn't entirely satisfied with the seating arrangement. I understand it's a café & co-working space, but most seats were occupied by people working for hours, without needing to make any reservation. This left little room for those who simply wanted to enjoy a coffee or meal. I even noticed a gentleman uncomfortably sitting on a bench in the corner, holding his bowl of soup because there were no tables available to set it down.
I would give a 4 if the seating situation was better!
Croissant was okay, pain au raisin is decent, espresso pulls were subpar. That said, the atmosphere, the ambiance, the service, & the vibes were incredible. I wasn't there to read or work but almost felt like I should go & grab a book to come back & read. The ceilings are incredibly high because this used to be a massive bank, & I'm so glad they've maintained the architecture & the grandness of it all. There are rooms you can book to cowork out of, otherwise you can pull up in the very big comfy couches or the tables all around. Highly recommend for the vibes!
Generally, the quality of the coffee was exceptional. I highly recommend a cappuccino with a sandwich if you plan to work at the café for a long time, they have long-term seating, which is great. The ambiance of the bank was just really nice & it did not disappoint. I did find it to be a little bit more on the expensive side, but it is worth it.
Really cool place, but coffee wasn't great for the price. If you haven't been here before I recommend checking it out.
I wanted to take a moment to highly recommend Crew Collectif & Café to you. The professional service, experienced Baristas, excellent food, & stunning interior make it a must-visit spot in Montreal. The former Royal Bank of Canada head office, now transformed into this amazing café, is truly a sight to behold. If you find yourself in Montreal or your local area, I urge you to stop by Crew Collectif & Café for an unforgettable experience.
This café is a wonderful spot to relax & eat! The architecture is unique & has a profound sense of history, while the old decor has been repurposed into pleasant sitting areas. The food options were large for both beverages & meals, & they tasted wonderful. I appreciated that proper tableware was given for dine-in, rather than everything being one-use. I highly recommend this café for those local to Montreal, as well as folks visiting the city. ❤️
The location is beautiful, but from what I tried the drinks & baked goods are not very good. It was also quite expensive compared to other cafés in the city. I would recommend popping my head in to check out the building, however I wouldn't stay for food or drinks.
Highly recommend to come for coffee & chill! Self service on seating, so you can choose wherever you wanna sit! Even the almond croissant was outstanding!
Nice cafe that feels like you're in a museum. I would recommend to grab a seat first & then order your coffee
Truly mesmerizing architecture. The best Cold brew I have ever had in my entire life. It was smooth & just perfect balance of sweet, sour & bitter. It has ruined all other cold brews for me 😅 Definitely recommend stopping by
This review is for coworking. I am sure it is a good cafe. But I would not recommend this place if you're looking to work as a serious professional. First, it is quite loud - because it's really one big open building, like the old school banks. Second, you are not allowed to bring your own food & drink despite paying for the day pass. If you're a remote worker, this will be very bizarre to you. Forget grabbing lunch or ice cream at a nearby place & bringing it in. Third, as you can only eat their own food, you have to keep in mind that this place is mainly a popular cafe with some coworking thrown in. You will stand in line behind 20 tourists in order to buy food or drink. Note, there is no free water or tea like every coworking space on the planet provides. Lastly, it is too crowded outside the office area. You have to walk through the crowd in order to use the bathroom, get a drink, etc. I just don't see what the point is of the coworking facility.
This place (once the tallest building in the British Empire) looks absolutely stunning, & the service by Lea at the reception is a 20/10. I mean white glove, outstanding service. Same with the baristas: amazing service. That being said 120$ for a semi-private place to work for 2 people, four coffees (the Dulce de leche one was delicious but too sweet, the americano was a letdown) & a pulled pork sandwich is too expensive. Especially when you can go to other coworking places a few streets away (of course, they're not as nice, but they are more comfortable) & spend less than half for a private room with coffee, tea, snacks, etc. à volonté. I can only recommend this to tourists, to take nice pictures, for people who want to cowork there once in a blue moon, if you want to treat yourself, if you are an influencer, or if your company pays for it. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend this as a coworking space, simply because it's too expensive.
Beautiful cafe with a nice vibe, highly recommend if you want something more chic & borderline 1920s. Very busy & crowded tho, & closes pretty early! Overall the drinks were good.
