Friendly service, cozy lighting, & creative cocktails. I tried the hoji which I found tasted a bit too much of almond butter, but it was pretty unique & unlike anything I had before.
The reason I am giving 3 stars is because there was a DJ blasting very loud music, which I think goes against the spirit of a'speakeasy'-style bar. We asked the waiter if the music could be turned down, but he didn't seem to do anything about it & it only got louder... We had a hard time hearing eachother speak so we left after the first cocktail. Dommage!

Went on a Monday night & were floored by Adrian's knowledgeable, sincere, efficient service & *miraculous* mixology. Easily the best drinks of mine & my boyfriend's life. We got the Classi & a Spicy Margarita. Environment is also at once cool + cozy.

Stopped by on a weeknight & it wasn't too crowded. The drinks were phenomenal, & Adrian & Ammaury were super friendly & awesome to chat with. We ended up having seven drinks total-easily one of our best nights in Montreal!

2026: great cocktails.
2018: Excellent service, drinks are great but they only serve tequila & mezcal. The chicken tacos were delicious. The mushroom pizza unluckily tasted exclusively like caramelized onions despite the how great it sounded on the menu.

Love tequila? Looking for a speakeasy while in Montreal? We've got you covered! Clandestino is a tequila bar hidden beneath the hopping restaurant upstairs.

Head through the hidden door, into a hallway & down some very dark stairs & you'll find yourself an intimate spot for some tequila cocktails.

We both loved our drinks. CL got a couple but his favorite was the Ocho which had cacao & mole, to make for a'damn good' cocktail. I had the Passion Amarga, which was also delicious.

We loved the vibe, it felt like being in a friends living room, with the furniture & the music was at a perfect level. The service was wonderful. The staff really helped us with picking out the perfect cocktails.

Stop in here if you are in the area, you won't be disappointed!
