Crew Collective sits inside a grand, historic bank building in Old Montreal, and it feels like stepping into a museum while you order coffee or work in private rooms and bookable coworking boxes. The space is praised for its stunning architecture, soaring ceilings, marble details, and abundant seating, though some areas restrict laptops and others fill up quickly, making it easy to miss a seat. Reviews highlight strong coffee and tasty pastries and bagels, with a few days showing inconsistency in drinks or food quality and some prices seen as high for what is received. The atmosphere and photo opportunities draw crowds, and many visitors treat it as an experience as much as a cafe, a must visit for architecture lovers and a good spot to work or relax, even if service speed or queue length can vary.
A good place to experience once. Decent food, long lines to get the aforementioned decent food & classy crowd. I only had a pistachio latte & found it good.

Visited Crew Collective & Café in mid-May 2026. This busy place is located in the former Royal Bank head office in Old Montreal & is visually stunning with the 50-ft vaulted ceilings. Unfortunately, they suffer a bit from their their own aesthetic as the place is a bit of a tourist magnet for everyone looking to get an insta-worthy shot of their coffee. Depending on the time of day, there can also be a line of people trying to pose on the steps leading up to the order counter (which appears to be the old teller wickets).
Still, the line moves pretty quickly. They'll give you a buzzer for bakery items that you pick up from a separate counter on the left.
We wound up ordering a London Fog Latte & a Fairmount Bagel with Cream Cheese. Unfortunately, they were out of salmon for the bagel (kind of odd as we were there quite early). Was it the best bagel & London Fog we've had? No. But as someone who has worked in financial services & remembers how banks used to be like, it was interesting to see the grandeur of an old school bank.
Beautiful location however, latte was taste bad & my friend drink was made incorrectly. Do not come here with high expectations for the drinks since they are so busy & rushed.
A little touristy but rightly so! The building is amazing. The meals & coffees were very nice too, nothing out of this world but way above average. Service was very good & friendly. Worth a stop 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Popped into Crew Collective on a Tuesday afternoon & honestly the vibe is unreal - that old bank ceiling never gets old. Latte was solid, nice micro-foam, though my espresso pulled a touch sour. Wifi held up while I cranked through emails for two hours. Almond croissant was flaky, not too sweet. Bit pricey, but I'd be back next time I'm in MTL.
Popped into Crew Collective on a quick Montreal trip & honestly didn't want to leave. The latte was proper - silky milk, no burnt notes - & the espresso held up on its own too. Vibe's gorgeous, wifi actually works, & that almond croissant? Flaky little miracle. Beats half the Queen West spots back home.
I had a great experience at Cafe Crew Cafeteria overall. The atmosphere was welcoming, the food tasted fresh, & the staff were friendly. Everything looked well prepared & flavorful.
The only thing I would mention is that the portion sizes felt a little small compared to the prices of the food items. The quality is definitely there, but slightly larger portions would make the experience even better.
That being said, the pecan pie was absolutely incredible. Honestly the best pecan pie We've ever had. Perfect flavor, fresh, rich, & not overly sweet. It completely made our visit memorable & is something we would definitely come back for again.

Nice ambiance & decent coffee in a great location inside what used to be a bank. The historic setting gives the space a unique character & makes it worth checking out if you're in the area.
