One of the coolest places we visited in Montreal.
Sipping hot chocolate in the old bank certainly warmed us in a negative -11 degrees!
Excellent cafe. Great tasting Matcha latte & cafe latte. Only complaint is they were comparatively small to other cafes in the Old Montreal area. Breakfast sandwich was good. Fairmont bagels available was a nice bonus. The building is truly the highlight of the experience. Unbelievable converted bank.
Good vibe, interior of former bank transformed to cafe.
The beautiful architecture & soaring ceilings are worth a visit just for their beauty. The remainder of the cafe is equally impressive, utilizing bank teller windows & counters for the counterspace. The seating area is plentiful, with polite notes to enjoy your food & the ambiance without setting up workstations. The breakfast was fine, but to be honest - it wasn't really the point of the visit. An absolute gem. I can't wait to return to experience it again.
Step into a Grand Café in a Historic Bank Building!
If you're looking for a coffee shop that's equal parts stunning, social, & studious-Crew Collective & Café is your spot. Housed in a beautifully restored heritage bank building in Old Montreal, this place wows you from the moment you step inside. Soaring ceilings, grand archways, & original architectural details make every visit feel special.
Whether you're catching up with friends, settling in for a productive study session, or just treating yourself, Crew has you covered. The coffee is excellent-rich, smooth, & consistently well-made. & don't even get me started on the almond croissant… flaky, buttery, & filled with just the right amount of marzipan goodness. It's an absolute must-try!
What's even better? They offer reservable study areas & cozy nooks, making it a perfect place to focus or brainstorm. I loved wandering around between sips, taking in the grand setting & buzzing yet calm atmosphere.
A true Montreal gem-tourists shouldn't miss it, & locals are lucky to have it. Can't wait to come back!
very kind & helpful staff, gorgeous location & good atmosphere. a historic bank turned into a modern cafe! the BLT bagel is sooo good, def recommend
Probably my favourite cafe in the city! It has a lot of space because it used to be a bank, there are even private room & enclosed spaces for members. We go the matcha & London fog drinks. Would come back next time I'm in town!
One of the best cafe experiences at Crew collective.
Formerly, a Royal Bank of Canada headquarters, built between 1926-1928 which has been now repurposed into a breathtaking cafe & co-working space.
This cafe is a must visit if you like to dine & enjoy some great architecture at the same time, something rare for sure & that's been the highlight of my time in Montreal!!
I would highly recommend even if it's just to admire the architecture of this historical building.
Stopped by Crew Collective & Cafe just to take photos, & it did not disappoint! The space is absolutely stunning - set in a former bank, it feels grand & elegant with its high ceilings, marble, & historic details. Even without trying the food & drinks, it's worth a visit for the atmosphere alone. Definitely one of the most beautiful cafes I've ever seen!
This is located in a historic Bank of Canada building & is certainly the most beautiful cafe I have ever been to. They have a wide variety of beverages & food available. My favorite thing was that they have private rooms that you can pay to book for work, study, or holding a meeting. They also have clean washrooms.
Bagels were okay . Croissant & pastries I'd give 5 stars . Cappuccino was the best I've had in a long time .. if not ever. Ambiance huge bonus! I might open an account with royal bank! 🏦
Very photogenic former-bank space. Likely the grandest cafe you'll ever find. Cashier on my visit was kind enough to indulge my terrible French skills. Croissant was fairly good for Canada, but lacked exceptional loft. Flat White was perfectly acceptable.
Its like having tea in a castle or museum . An historical building which was a bank now they serve amazing coffee. Its often full of people including all the tour groups coming out of cruise ships
The Crew Café has a beautiful, vintage bank-style ambiance & a great location. However, the coffee was disappointing - my pistachio latte was overly sweet with no real pistachio flavor. Worth a visit for the vibe, but not for the drinks.
Absolutely gorgeous cafe! Every single travel / food blog recommended I check out Crew Collective & Cafe for some of the best coffee & unique cafes in Montreal, so I knew I had to give this lovely spot a try. They absolutely deserve all the popularity, both for their gorgeous building & phenomenal coffee. The cafe is hosted in the historic Royal Bank tower & features beautiful marble floors & murals across the ceiling. It feels remarkably grand, especially for a cafe or coworking space. There are plenty of tables scattered across the main floor, but there are also small conference rooms you can set up shop in (they look a bit like old bank teller offices).
The coffee itself was fantastic. The latte was a bit milkier than I'm used to, but it was quite creamy & smooth. The beans were just the slightest bit nutty, & it was all-around a delightful cafe.
Stunning space in a former bank - the architecture & ambiance are absolutely worth a visit. Great spot for photos & working or relaxing. Coffee was just okay, but the vibe makes up for it. A must-see café for the atmosphere alone.
Food is decent. Drinks are good. Atmosphere is amazing. It's like a repurposed old bank. Great place for photos.
Crew Café's atmosphere feels like something straight out of a movie-like those scenes set in banks or offices illuminated by bright light streaming through massive glass panes. The smoked salmon bagel was delightful, & the coffee was just the way I like it.
Gorgeous. Old bank building turned into a café & co-working space. Rent a room for your next meeting or have a Montreal style bagel with smoked salmon & some pastries. The almond croissant was delicious & not overly sweet. The staff were friendly & helpful.
