Like people said the ambiance is great & the ceiling indoor is expansive & unique. However, the london fog & matcha lattes that we all got really missed the mark & all of our drinks just tasted like flavoured milk. I would say if you're coming here just come for the ambiance & photos - your best bet would be to go to another cafe nearby for the drinks.
Amazing experience! The building is simply georgous, the orange brioche delicious & the staff attention was pretty good, they were friendly but special shotout to Ulises, he just overkilled with the attention & warmth, he also gave us recommendations on what to do in the city during our visit, definitely recommended.
I had the pleasure of visiting Crew Collective & Cafe L today, & I can honestly say it's one of the best coffee experiences I've ever had. The baristas were friendly & knowledgeable, taking the time to explain their different roasts & even suggesting a drink based on my preferences.
I tried their dulce de leche , & it was absolutely perfect - smooth, balanced, & rich with flavor. The latte art was a beautiful touch too! The shop itself has a cozy & historical vibe, with plenty of seating options for both individuals & groups. Plus, their selection of pastries was a great addition to the coffee.
What really stands out about this place is the attention to detail & the level of care they put into everything they do. I'll definitely be coming back for more, & I highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates high-quality coffee & a great environment to relax or work.
"Un grand latté glacé pour Hank," as the barista called, I was about to respond & a dude cut the line & took my drink. Me: "Dude that's for Hank, which is me." The dude: "What? I'm Hank." Me: "no way dude. Out of all the cities in Canada we met dans une ville francophone. Are you for real?" Hank: "Yeah. I specifically named myself Hank to avoid this kind of situation in Montreal." The Hanks hugged it out after like brothers they never had with tears in their eyes . Montreal is truly a city of love. But yeah. I freaking love crew collective. It is perhaps one of my all time favourite cafes in the entire Canada. The building is breathtaking, & the coffee was nice. Its a must-visit whenever you're in town.
Okay so this place was GORGEOUS! It took a while to get a seat, & we figured out quite quickly that this was an office coop. Ordered a chai latte , americano salmon bagel & avocado toast & it was $50.00 it's on the pricey side but if you want to treat yourself certainly check it out.
The place is beautiful but the drinks are not so great. I got the pistachio latte & it tasted very artificial. Just come here for vibes. Would come back to do work or hang out though.
Coffee & latte are good but it's mostly about the good ambiance in a historical building.
Superbe endroit ! Service A1.
I got the latte brown sugar oat. It was around 8$ tax included which is expensive. It was just ok & not too sweet. There was no place to sit, not many tables & a lot of people. The line was pretty long. There are mostly couches. It is a crowdy & loud place. Not a good place to study unless if you rent a space maybe.
We had to buy the coffee beans after trying the caramel iced latte. So good. Maya was so kind & put the whole beans thru the grinder for us & gave us a lot of helpful info to use our espresso machine at home. Everyone was so kind & can't wait to come back to Montreal to visit here again!
The architecture is mind blowing & the cafe is huge! Their matcha latte was okay but the almond croissant was very filled & delicious!
This cafe was extremely aesthetically pleasing & makes a great spot for photos. However, was super busy even on a week day, extremely hard to even find a spot to sit. I don't think their wraps are worth the price but we really enjoyed our caramel macchiato & iced chai latte. Their staff was quite friendly & helpful!
I was so disappointed!! For years I have heard people raving about this place but it's really not up to the hype. As an architecture student, I was very excited to see the interior & I will say that it's worth to go inside just to take a look. However, it seems like it's mostly a place for people to take a break from the heat in the summer rather than have a coffee. The place was absolutely full, there was no place to sit but no one was even drinking anything. It seemed more like they were loitering. It was also very silent, the atmosphere would have been so much better with some light music. The coffee was very expensive. For one maple iced latte with almond milk, it cost me 10$before tip. The size was very close to a size grande at Starbucks. It was definitely not worth that price. Would go back in to see the architecture but won't buy anything next time!
Certainly! Here's a five-star review for Crew Collective & Café: --- **Five Stars** Crew Collective & Café is an absolute gem in the heart of the city. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with stunning architecture & an ambiance that perfectly blends historic charm with modern elegance. The vaulted ceilings & ornate details create a unique atmosphere that's both inspiring & comfortable. The coffee here is top-notch, brewed to perfection by skilled baristas who clearly take pride in their craft. Whether you're in the mood for a classic espresso or a creative latte, the drink menu has something for everyone. Their pastries & light bites are equally impressive, making it a great spot for a quick snack or a leisurely brunch. What truly sets Crew Collective & Café apart, though, is the exceptional service. The staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, & ready to help with a smile. Whether you're here for a casual coffee, a business meeting, or just to soak in the atmosphere, you'll feel welcomed & well taken care of. In short, Crew Collective & Café is a must-visit destination for coffee lovers, architecture enthusiasts, & anyone looking for a fantastic café experience. I can't recommend it highly enough! ---
Mediocre Coffee & Pastries, Went for Expresso macchiato & Chai Latte. Worth it for the architecture, can be over crowded which is a bit of an off for me, you can book a private room for a fee of 15$/hr.
overpriced water matcha latte, giving 2 stars for the decor & the lady at the cashie
I was in total awe when I entered this building. It's more of architectural beauty. The very warm ambiance & the subdued lighting of the space go perfectly together with the natural light entering from the huge round top arch windows. You'll find several quiet pods on the right & left side of the cads if that's what you're looking for. Several seatings are also available in the main area (couches, tables with chairs as well as 135º chairs which are the best position to be seated in according to this article) Besides the coffee, the place is known for its location in an old cathedral-style bank building with chandeliers & ornate dome ceilings. Food-wise - I can't say, it's great... We had a chicken mozzarella sandwich, latte, & coconut chocolate. Have a coffee/some snacks, sit around, admire the beauty, & move to the next point. The space is amazing & of course, they needed equally amazing food to go with it... Btw- The counter is the bank teller counter! Cool!
