Chez Mère Grand est un café chaleureux au cœur du Vieux-Montréal, où l'on vient pour un excellent café, des viennoiseries faites sur place et une ambiance cosy qui invite à rester. Les avis mettent en avant la qualité des boissons et des pâtisseries, le croissant et le bostock, le croissant au jambon et fromage, le croissant à la lavande, ainsi que le fameux Canadiano, le tout à un bon rapport qualité-prix et avec un service amical et attentionné. Le cadre, l'accueil et l'atmosphère chaleureuse sont fréquemment décrits comme charmants et à l'ancienne, donnant l'impression d'une maison de grand-maman. Malgré un ou deux retours négatifs mentionnant une interaction difficile avec le propriétaire, l'ensemble des commentaires reste majoritairement très positif sur la fraîcheur des produits, la convivialité et la qualité du café. En résumé, cette adresse est une petite perle locale pour un petit-déjeuner ou une pause café près du port, avec des produits faits sur place et un service sympathique qui donne envie de revenir.
The nicest guys work here! The owner is very friendly & kind. We liked all the food we tried, especially the ham & cheese croissant, & the coffee is also good. Very cute & relaxing space. We came here most mornings during our stay in Montreal & definitely recommend it as a breakfast spot if you're in the area. (Bring cash if you don't have a Canadian debit card)
We stopped by for brunch & it was so lovely. Smoked meat grilled cheese, scone, croissant & coffee were all delicious. The owner was upbeat & very nice. The cafe is also adorable! Highly recommend this place!
Excellent place to have a latte & croissant. Almond ones were so good. My husband & I ate there each morning this past week while we were in Montreal. Owner even remembered our order. So nice!!
Cute cafe with the patisseries. We ordered ice matcha with lavender syrup & another one with maple syrup. The lavender one is aromatic. Both are nice but the sense of matcha is not that strong. The croissant with almond cream & apricot jam is so tasty. The outdoor seats are so chill, good for sitting & sipping.
Best croissant I've ever had. Coffee was exceptional. I wish I lived closer so I could visit here more often. Couldn't be happier to have found this place.

Such a cute spot that's easy to access. Very clean & a good vibe - small seating areas but comfortable & very quaint. We were warmly greeted & helped when we walked in. The person at the counter took his time with us & made us feel liked valued customers, even though it was our first time in the cafe. The food & drinks were delicious! We had the matcha latte with almond milk & lavender syrup, the croissant sandwich, grilled cheese & the cheddar scone. We also received some of the peach ginger iced tea that was super refreshing. We'd come back & definitely recommend this little spot 🙂
Boulangerie pâtisserie snack au top , côté assis sympathique, service impeccable , qualité des produits & des croissants fourrés au saumon . Pain au chocolat goûteux, cookie 🍪 excellent.
It was the best late I ever had! Also had a croissant ham sandwich & vegy wrap. Everything was SUPER delicious! Will definitely be back when in Montreal again ❤️☕️

Wowww coming in the little cafe is like walking into Grandma's house. So warm & inviting! Smells delicious you want to try everything ! I had the fresh grilled croissant ham & cheese sandwich - melt in your mouth! Paired it with an amazing cappuccino with an added heart shaped foam which I thought was the cutest thing. Having trouble leaving. Lollll
Une incursion en France dans cet endroit sympathique. Café & croissants délicieux. Vieilles chansons françaises. Si c'était plus près de chez moi, j'y serais tout le temps!
It was a rainy morning, my wife & our son & I just walked around the old ports & berry area,& we randomly found this gem just at the cross of the roads! Warm atmosphere welcomed us straight away ,boss is so kind even we only speak English! Bagel & croissant are amazing & heated for us! Definitely would come back next time when we got a chance to visit Montreal !
This place is a GEM! Amazing cappuccino, but better yet the CROISSANT! One of the best I've had in my entire life. I can't recommend this little coffee shop enough, probably the best in Montreal.

A gem !!! We had one of the best almond / pistachio croissants ever - & the coffee was delicious too ! The decor & atmosphere is very warm & welcoming, & the owners are lovely ! :) Highly recommend !🤗☺️❤️
Just visited this Cafe from Vancouver. Love this place. It's such a cute corner street cafe, with flowers around the door & an adorable yellow bench. The owner is wonderful, super friendly, sharing his story & journey. The Chai & croissants were the best I've ever had. So airy, fluffy & soft. The scones were heavenly. Such a delight to be in a place with good food, great ambience & service. Everywhere I went in Montreal I was told to visit this place & I'm so glad I did.
