A Montreal Gem with Unbeatable Views & Stellar Service! If you are looking for the perfect Saturday night spot in Montreal, Cappello is an absolute must-visit. My friends & I had an incredible experience here that balanced a high-end atmosphere with truly warm hospitality.
The Atmosphere & View
The first thing you'll notice is the stunning panoramic view of the city. Whether you're seated by the window or grabbing a drink at the bar, the vibe is sophisticated yet lively. It's easily one of the best atmospheres in the city for a night out.
The Food & Drinks
We explored a variety of the menu, & nothing disappointed:
• The Pasta: We tried both the Gnocchi (so pillow-soft!) & the Spaghetti. Both were cooked to perfection.
• Chicken Parm: Crispy, flavorful, & a total crowd-pleaser.
• The Standout: They served what I can confidently say is the best Tiramisu I've had in Montreal so far. You cannot leave without ordering it!
• Cocktails/Mocktails: The drink menu is creative & beautifully presented.
Amazing Service!
A massive shoutout to our waiter, Alessandro. He was the highlight of our evening! He was extremely professional & kind. One of my friends doesn't eat pork or anything cooked with alcohol, & Alessandro went above & beyond to accommodate her, offering thoughtful options & ensuring she had a great meal.
While the service was a bit slow due to the Saturday rush, the staff more than made up for it with their incredible hospitality. It's rare to find a place that cares this much about the guest experience.
Final Verdict: 10/10. I'll absolutely be coming back. If you're a local or just visiting, put this on your list!
Cappello made for a lovely evening, with beautiful views that immediately set the mood. We started with a white fish carpaccio that was delicately seasoned, followed by parmesan chicken & salads that were flavorful, & nicely balanced. The food was excellent, & the wine list offered plenty of good options to pair with the meal. Service was welcoming, & while it's definitely on the pricier side, the combination of great dishes, nice wine, & scenic setting made it feel like a special experience worth splurging on.
10/10 across the board. Service, food, drinks, music, views - this place has it all.
100% j'y retourne!
Merci à Marianne pour l'excellent service jeudi dernier! J'y retournerai.
Marianne is amazing! Will be returning just for her incredibly well made cocktails & winning smile
Everything was perfect. Ambiance, quality of the food, our waiter Selina was amazing. The views are incredible. Don't usually write reviews but good places like this & their chefs deserve the credit 🤌🏼
View is amazing, drinks are pretty good. A bit of wait even with reservation.
We visited this restaurant on a Wednesday afternoon to celebrate a friend's birthday. Unfortunately, we were informed that we were not allowed to bring out our own birthday cake. To their credit, the staff did kindly offer to store it in their fridge for the time being, but it was still disappointing, as this policy was not communicated beforehand.
We were a group of six, with two guests arriving later. While our drinks were served promptly, the food took over 45 minutes to arrive. The server explained there had been a mix-up in the kitchen & apologized, which we appreciated. However, with a reservation at 7:00 p.m., we did not finish dinner until around 10:30 p.m., which felt excessive.
Additionally, we had specifically requested no pork on one of the pizzas, but it arrived with pork & had to be sent back to be remade, adding further delay.
Overall, the restaurant itself is very beautiful, but given the service issues & mistakes with the food, we did not feel the experience was worth it.
Firstly, wonderful view of the city & Mont royal. Secondly, the food was incredibly delicious, especially the chicken parm & the grilled carrots. Great selection of wine, & a very friendly atmosphere & staff
the waiters dont really care about you, they're going to give you they service based on how you look & definitely won't care if you're on the younger side.
also I payed 30$ just 8 tortellinis, I went to mcdonalds after, but hey anything for the experience,
although the bartender was nice
Undercooked pasta & really salty food, really small portions for the price. I never write reviews but wow this one was bad.
