Great location with amazing views, especially since the restaurant is on one of the higher floors. The space itself is beautiful & definitely has that aesthetic vibe. The vodka pasta was amazing & probably the highlight of our dinner! The pizza was good as well, although nothing particularly stood out about it, & we also enjoyed the cocktails. Service was okay, but we did feel a little rushed throughout our dinner.
The pasta was horrible ! Even my child didn't eat it We order all the pasta of the menu & some appetizers No order pasta here!!! ! The worse pasta is my life ! They should change the menu of pasta !!! Go for drink & appetizers only ! The services was ok , but when they bring the wine they forgot to bring it with the glass & the wind made the bottle to go to the floor & halft of the wine went to the floor because the waiter didn't brought us the case of ice to put the wine … we paid for this bottle come on … I will recommend to go restaurant upstairs are better !! The owner should change the pasta menu urgently!!!! Not good for your business!!
I recently visited this restaurant & had a bit of a mixed experience. To start, everything was actually going really well - the burrata & garlic bread were both delicious & set a great first impression.
Unfortunately, things started to go downhill with the main courses. My partner initially received the wrong dish (though the names were quite similar, so I understand how that could happen), but the staff was accommodating & quickly corrected it. However, my own dish arrived cold, & while I normally wouldn't send food back, I had to ask for it to be reheated.
When the dishes came back, we were surprised by the portion size - the cappelleti plate had only five pieces, which felt quite underwhelming. Taste-wise, the pasta didn't really stand out, & my own dish was extremely over-peppered to the point where it was difficult to enjoy, which was disappointing since I usually love pasta.
We decided to stay a bit longer & ordered another round of drinks, but after waiting around 15 minutes with nothing arriving, we assumed it had been forgotten & asked for the bill. After paying (& still tipping over 15% as our waitress was very kind & attentive), we realized we had been charged for the drink we never received. It turned out it had been sitting at the bar for about 10 minutes without being brought to us.
Overall, the ambiance & view are beautiful, & the service from our waitress herself was lovely. However, based on the food experience, I would probably only return for drinks at the bar rather than for a full meal.
Absolute amazing !
10/10 burrata I still think about it
Amazing pasta kinda wish the portions were bigger other than that, everything was top notch loved the service as well with the pretty view of the city
To start with, my experience here was great-the service was amazing. My only concern was the food selection. As someone who is allergic to pork, I found there were only one or two options available for me. That said, the pasta I had was absolutely delicious.
For dessert, out of four options, I could only choose one because the others contained alcohol, which was a bit disappointing. Unfortunately, the gelato I ordered was really bad, & I didn't like it at all.
Overall, it was a good experience, but it could be even better with more food options that do not include pork or alcohol.
We went to Cappello for lunch & amazing! The Caesar salad is a classic that never disappoints, & the pasta with vodka sauce was so good. The table d'hôte comes with focaccia, & you can even add a dessert - yes, please! Everything was absolutely delicious, & the view… wow!! I'm definitely coming back, like ASAP!
Was pleasantly surprised, was expecting an overhyped restaurant because of beautiful view. Food was quiet tasty, playlist was really vibing (r&b 00s), nice atmosphere. Best dishes: steak, veal tonnato, radiatori spicy pasta & tiramisu (different but very tasty)
Beautiful setting, but very underwhelming food. Pasta was bland, & the veal tartare was covered in cheese & seated on a brioche so you did not taste the tartare at all. Drinks were good however.
A Montréal restaurant with unbeatable views & amazing service! If you are looking for the perfect Saturday night spot in Montréal, then Cappello is a must-visit. My friends & I had an incredible experience that balanced a high-end atmosphere with truly warm hospitality.
The Atmosphere & View:
The first thing you'll notice is the stunning panoramic view of the city. Whether you're seated by the window or grabbing a drink at the bar, the vibe is sophisticated yet lively. It's easily one of the best atmospheres in the city for a night out!
The Food & Drinks:
We explored a variety of the menu, & nothing disappointed:
• The Pasta: We tried both the Gnocchi (so pillow-soft!) & the Spaghetti. Both were cooked to perfection.
• Chicken Parm: Crispy, flavorful, & a total crowd-pleaser.
• The Standout: They served what I can confidently say is the best Tiramisu I've had in this city (so far). You cannot leave without ordering it!
• Cocktails/Mocktails: The drink menu is creative & beautifully presented.
Amazing Service!
A massive shoutout to our waiter, Alessandro. He was the highlight of our evening! He was extremely professional & kind. One of my friends doesn't eat pork or anything cooked with alcohol, & Alessandro went above & beyond to accommodate her, offering thoughtful options & ensuring she had a great meal.
While the service was a bit slow due to the Saturday rush, the staff more than made up for it with their incredible hospitality. It's rare to find a place that cares this much about the guest experience.
Final Verdict: a solid 9/10. We'll absolutely be coming back. If you're a local Montrealer or just visiting, please put this restaurant on your list!
