There is always a line but it moves quickly, the place is always crowded in a good way. The pancakes & egg sandwich taste amazing 🤩 however the avocado&egg toast was not it at all the egg was really cold & not fresh 🫤 love their matcha also 🍵 Would have given it a 5/5 if the place was bigger & if the the egg was ready in the right temperature.
I'm pretty sure people are often here because of its pancakes & they are right! I must say… you have to order the tomato soup… it was amazing.
It is a popular place so if you don't like to do long lines you may come to early or to late (like 3pm). Anyways… totally worth it.
Yes there's a line & all the tables are taken, but somehow the line moves quickly & seats open up.
The varied menu is delicious & such good value that it sometimes feels like inflation missed September. The pancakes, cashew chicken salad, salted chocolate chip cookie, or nourishing bone broth are some of my favorites. The coffees & matches are especially good, hot or iced. Also, they're thoughtfully open on Monday!
There is a reason why there were line ups out the door for a Saturday morning. Glad we waited & line moved quickly.
We ordered the breakfast sandwich & deluxe sandwich- my husband said it was one of the best sandwiches he's had.
The pancakes looked incredible so we'll have to order next time.
They have seating both indoor & outdoor.
Will definitely be back- glad we found this gem!
Loved the vibe, food & coffee of this gem in Montreal.
I had my first breakfast in Quebec here & I felt welcomed.
My pancakes were full of maple syrup & the oat latte was just perfectly done (not too hot, not lukewarm - just on point).
Music was good too
This place was recommended by a local that I trust & it didn't disappoint.
The pancakes are very necessary & the bone broth will help you survive the MTL winter.
Don't sleep on the avo toast, also a certified banger!
I've been coming to September 2-3 times a month for a few years now & I'll probably never stop going. Consistent coffee & matcha (always delicious, especially when made by barista Sonora). Consistent food (also always delicious). The breakfast sandwich is a fave of mine, as well as the tomato soup with grilled cheese. I do love the pancakes & the halloumi toast as well! But really you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I find the prices are well worth the value. Only downside is the seating areas since it's normally so packed. I recommend going on a weekday if you can or close to when they open on the weekend.
If you're hunting for a fantastic coffee & brunch experience, this is the place to be! I've explored nearly all of Montreal's hottest spots, & I can confidently say this gem ranks in my top three! The pancakes? Absolutely out of this world! You simply can't miss them!
The pancakes & avocado toast were delicious. Probably the best avocado toast I ever had. Grilled cheese with tomato soup were great. The orange juice was fresh. Hot chocolate was good
Café September is a must try, & for good reason! This cozy spot serves up some truly outstanding brunch fare. The avocado toast is a revelation, & the pancakes are simply divine. Don't forget to grab a cup of their excellent coffee, it's the perfect pairing. this café is small & incredibly popular though, so the service can be slow & arriving early is highly recommended. The lively atmosphere is part of its charm, & the friendly staff make the experience even better. Despite the crowds, the quality of the food & the overall vibe make Café September a must-visit for any brunch enthusiast!
Delicious amd great service!! Its very busy but somehow you manage to find a spot since people eat & leave pretty fast. I'd recommend this place ! The cinnabuns, Pancakes & mushrooms burrata toast✨
Lovely cafe, but very busy. We arrived around 9am on a Sunday thinking it'd be fairly quiet but had to queue for 15-20 mins to order. Other than that, it was all very tasty. Delicious coffee & matcha, & amazing pancakes. The atmosphere was really nice too, & staff were very friendly too!
This place has a lot of hype as it is always busy even on weekdays during the day. The cafe looks nice enough but the issue is the undecided atmosphere. You have 30% of the people there doing work on their laptops. But there is no wifi offered & limited outlets, so it's almost like they are forcing it as a work space. On top of this the rest of the people there are chatting away. I initially came here to eat & get some work done but did not find it a suitable space to work & went to another cafe afterwards. I ordered a breakfast sandwich & I have to say it was pretty plain. The pancakes seem to be popular though so I might need to spin back for those sometime.
Les toasts halloumi sont délicieuse !! & les pancakes ... excellentes !!
I had heard so many great things about this place & was excited to finally try it out! I came for lunch on a Thursday & was happy to find a spot immediately. The menu was so tempting that I wanted to try everything, but I eventually settled on the tomato soup & grilled cheese combo-& it did not disappoint. On a rainy day, this warm, comforting meal was exactly what I needed. The soup was rich & flavorful, & the grilled cheese had a deliciously crispy exterior with a surprise hint of jalapeno inside, adding just the right kick. I can't wait to come back & try the famous pancakes, the matcha, & maybe the rest of the menu (lol). My only critique is the interior layout-the high tables are quite small, & I can imagine how crowded & condensed the space must get on weekends. Still, I'm already looking forward to my next visit!
Phenomenal place! The pancakes & halloumi toast were delicious & their chocolate chip cookie might be the best i've ever had!
Pancakes, halloumi toast & coffee are absolutely great! Busy place.
