Thankfully we just had to wait about 30 mins & not an hour or more like other reviews as I don't think it worth waiting all that time. The breakfast sandwich was very tasty, the tomato soup maybe too sweet but still delicious. One of the very few places where I found unsweetened matcha & it was very good. The smash burger & avocado toast are good but just a regular burger & toast that you can find elsewhere. The pancakes are very good, fluffy & good portion. We ordered them with the syrup on the side & they were great.
Toast halloumi absolument délicieux, les pancakes un peu moins bien. Prévoyez attendre longtemps en file (45+ min) même un jour de semaine en mars.
Arrive when they open or be prepared to wait in line. We arrived at 8:08am & still had to wait about 15-20 mins before being seated. Ordered the matcha latte (way too sweet), cappuccino (quite good!), the tomato soup with grilled cheese sandwich which was absolutely delicious & the blueberry pancakes which were fluffy & tasty. Would recommend! Theres plenty of seating as well: front patio, back patio & a shared indoor dining space. Cute spot in general in a vibrant quirky neighbourhood. Love this area for food!
Amazing food, long queue so recommend going early. Ambience is lacking with having to seat yourself & lack of table space
good but not worth lining up for. it's just a regular buttermilk pancake you can get elsewhere. coffee was fine but too milky. I've definitely had better breakfast sandwiches too.
they also have very limited seating, you can tell that it's meant to be primarily a quick grab & go cafe, not really a food spot. if they want to maintain the momentum they need to respect their customers by operating like a restaurant so there aren't such long lines.
We missed the line up for kitchen food. It was 2:00pm. However, we are still be able to have coffee here. They taste good. Cortado has real good espresso. Ice Latte has the perfect balance of coffee & milk.
bon pancake !
Personnel souriant & bien fin ! Merci pour l'accueil !
Le café est bien corse !
A tantôt !
September Café absolutely lived up to the hype. We waited around 1 hour & 30 minutes, & I can honestly say it was worth it. The atmosphere is vibrant & the café has a beautiful, minimalist aesthetic that makes it a great spot for brunch.
We ordered the pancakes, breakfast sandwiches, & the avocado & smoked salmon toast, & every dish was fresh, flavorful, & beautifully presented. The pancakes were incredibly fluffy, the breakfast sandwiches were filling & perfectly balanced, & the avocado salmon toast was made with high-quality ingredients. We also tried the matcha, which was smooth, rich, & one of the best we've had.
Yes, the line can be long, but it's easy to understand why this place is so popular. If you're visiting Montréal & don't mind waiting for an exceptional brunch, September Café is definitely worth adding to your list.
