Been wanting to go here forever, & it did not disappoint!
Just an FYI before going, it is busy all days of the week at all times so it may be difficult finding seating!
I got the classic pancakes with an addition of strawberries with ham on the side & I loved it! It was extremely filling though, so it was difficult to finish all of it. My lemonade was super good but very sour!
My friend got the avocado toast which she really liked, but she said there was an odd combination of tastes when it came to the spicy spices & the sweetness of the avocado. She also did not know the egg would be cold. Her chai latte was very good!
Would recommend!
To the people who complain about the long queues: nobody is forcing you to go to this place during peak hours!! You are not entitled to a business' service more than other customers who also show up for the same thing. People have to stop blaming a business for going viral & not being able to accommodate unusually big waves of customers...
Just go before they open (to skip the long lines) or wait til the hype calms down a little!
Yummy buttery pancakes. Also liked the fact that the grilled cheese had a kick to it
I've been coming here for the past three years & have generally had good experiences, which made yesterday's visit particularly disappointing. I ordered the Salmon Goddess Salad & unfortunately found a cucumber with visible mold on it.
I really appreciated how the waitress handled the situation, she was very kind, apologetic, & offered me a complimentary meal of my choice. However, waiting approximately 45 minutes for my order only to receive food containing mold was extremely concerning & has made me hesitant to return. I've enjoyed coming here over the years, but food quality & safety are incredibly important, & this experience was difficult to overlook.
September cafe was great! Super cute spot, although it pretty popular now so there's usually a line😭
But nonetheless totally worth it. Workers were all very polite & helpful.
Such an unpleasant experience unfortunately.
Came 40 mins prior to closing & they closed the line.
Food is just phenomenal. Makes all that waiting in line totally worth it every time.
Such a delicious brunch at September! Sunday on the patio in the sun & had the blueberry pancakes, tomato soup with grilled cheese, & both a latte & iced matcha.
Everything was spot on - pancakes were fluffy with so much fresh blueberry & real maple syrup, soup was creamy & comforting & that grilled cheese was perfectly crisp. & the drinks - latte art was beautiful & the iced matcha was smooth, not bitter at all.
Great vibe, friendly staff, busy but worth the wait. Will definitely be back!
My friend was leaving town & really wanted to try this place before she left. I've been to the café a few times before, but I've noticed that the lines seem to be getting longer & longer. We ended up standing outside for an hour & 20 minutes before getting in.
What I found most frustrating was the way the line seemed to be managed. At some points, the inside of the café was quite empty, & there was literally no one at the ordering counter, yet the long line outside was still being kept in place. This was especially unpleasant because it was a 30°C, hot & humid summer day.
What was even more confusing was seeing multiple groups of people walk straight into the café, completely bypassing the line, & go directly to order. I also overheard people who had just entered saying that they felt bad about skipping the line, but planned to order takeaway anyway, so they thought it was okay.
I'm not here to judge those customers, they made their own choices. But I do think September Café could have handled the situation much better. If there is a specific system for dine-in versus takeaway, or for controlling the number of people inside, it should be made much clearer & enforced consistently. When people have already waited outside for over an hour in the heat, seeing others walk in & order immediately is understandably frustrating.
By the time we finally got inside, I was honestly more disappointed with the experience than excited about the food. The food was not bad, but in my opinion, it was definitely not worth an hour wait, especially when the queue management seemed so inconsistent. So before you go, if there's a long line, I would rethink that.
I hope the café can improve how they manage the line & communicate the process to customers, because the experience could be much better with a more organized system.
Good food but I wouldn't line up more than one time to eat at this place. Thankfully we just had to wait about 30 mins & not an hour or more like other reviews as I don't think it worth waiting all that time. The breakfast sandwich was very tasty, the tomato soup maybe too sweet but still delicious. One of the very few places where I found unsweetened matcha & it was very good. The smash burger & avocado toast are good but just a regular burger & toast that you can find elsewhere. The pancakes are very good, fluffy & good portion. We ordered them with the syrup on the side & they were great.
