Foods are amazing the toast & pancakes🤌🏻(+ add up chicken⭐?!!). Drinks are lower than average☹?(can be optional).
We needed to line up for 15mins outside, & get inside order right away. It was too warm with a crowd. If you have a bite of food you will understand thoView more
My go to brunch place. I've had the best tomato soup with grilled cheese here. The place is a bit crowded so be prepared to stand in line, but it is so worth it. I have also had the avocado toast & halloumi toast, which is also really good.View more
The most amazing way to start a visit to my home-city with a new favourite brunch spot. My partner & I came here for brunch. There was a line-up outside but it moved at a good pace, & once inside it was a bit chaotic. The seating system was unique & we weren't sure we were going to stay, but we decided to stick it out. We are so glad we did. The food was absolutely to die for - we each had avocado toast with added smoked salmon (OMG) & we shared pancakes which were moist, fluffy, & mouth-watering. The cortados we had were yummy & the iced matcha latte was delicious. The staff are so kind. We struck up a conversation with barista Sonara (I hope that's correct), & that catapulted an amazing first day back home (they mentioned Jazz fest was on, & we managed to see Nas). Everything about our experience here was so memorable - the food of course, the staff, & the vibrant energy with Montreal charm. Very worth the wait & seating system. We love it so much we bought merch. You NEED to check this place out. We can't wait to come back.View more
You can tell that it's popular because all the other restaurants on the street are empty & there's a line here. A little overpriced but I am gonna dream about that Avacado toast!View more
We loved it so much we went back-to-back days for breakfast. The pancakes were even more delicious than they look! No matter what time of day you, you must get the pancakes. It's big enough to be shared for two & worth going just for them. The avocado toast is delicious as well. The plates are more than if enough, so come hungry or be prepared to share. Aside from the food, the drinks were your classic cafe options & delicious. If you can squeeze in dessert, I recommend the chocolate chip cookie. Overall, our favorite breakfast place in Montreal, & we will be back.View more
Tout était excellentView more
Even though there's always a lineup but its one of my favorite local brunch spots. They provided great coffee. & the food is amazing. We love the Pancake with the maple syrup & butter on top, such a good combination. & i love the halloumi toast, it comes with toast, grilled cheese & mixed veggies on top. It gives the perfect tastes with their dressings. Also the tomato soup is really good.
So happy that we can finally stop by at this place.View more
Scouting lineups from the previous week on Notre Dame,September Cafe was a must try. From Google description, this hip relaxed cafe is accurately described.
it's nice to be 30 years older
than the oldest person in the mosh pit line up. Waiting time is irrelevant when the vibe is right. Allexa at the cash is quintessential of the staff, smiling & receptive. Avo toast was excellent & my partner's Halloumi toast was even better. Salads look great Two lattes were made with the familiar flower design & hit the spot. Can't wait to go back again & get back into the mosh pit line up!!
Additional; just tried Crispy Chicken Sandwich including house salad .. amazing
Additional : celebrating a wily 83 year old ladies birthday,I had her wait on the terrace in the sun among the tattoos,LGBTQ community & vapers while I stood in the modest mosh pit line up. Comped a free cookie for being me & the ladies birthday. Lattes & avo toast were excellent, staff could not be more friendly & efficient. Birthday girls white hair remained white regarding youthful styles. sooo much fun.View more
Halloumi toast is amazing! Its extremely filling, hearty, & fun to eat 😊 I paired it with an iced chai & I feel like it was a perfect combo! Staff is also very kind & lighthearted. Despite the popularity, ambiance is not overwhelming since there is plenty of space to eat outside as well (: Truly a gem!!View more
September Surf Café is a must-visit in Montreal.
Their Classic Pancakes, Avocado Toast, & Halloumi Cheese Sandwich are the favourites, but the Halloumi Sandwich stands out the most. Its complex, well-balanced flavours never get boring, & it's satisfying to the last bite.
Don't miss the Chocolate Chip Cookie & Matcha Cookie for takeout-they're perfect little treats.
It's easy to spend over $60 for two, even just for breakfast, but the quality & atmosphere make it absolutely worth it.
If you want to avoid the lines, arrive at 8 AM.View more
Came here on a Sunday morning there was a line however it did move quickly. Tables are limited & mostly filled however we got lucky & snagged one right away. You order & pay at the counter & they bring it out. Had a mimosa & ice matcha they were decent but nothing special. The avocado toast was quite good however I don't understand the hype around the pancakes as they were very dry . Overall not bad I would still come back for the toast.View more
Everything was great at this café!
We had the avocado toast, salmon, halloumi toast, chicken salad, & pancakes: it was all delicious.
Definitely a must-visit spot!View more
Good food (I had the matcha latte & the avocado toast), friendly service & cozy place. It was a tad bit expensive but I expect that from cute cafes. I will say most seating is stools, which may not be a problem for most people but I have back issues so it was uncomfortable for me.View more
View more
Super delicious - the food is delicious, the avocado toast is just magical & people working at this place are nice. It's always jam packed.View more
Amazing brunch !! There is always a line but it moves quickly, the place is always crowded in a good way. The pancakes & egg sandwich taste amazing 🤩 however the avocado&egg toast was not it at all the egg was really cold & not fresh 🫤 love their matcha also 🍵 Would have given it a 5/5 if the place was bigger & if the the egg was ready in the right temperature.View more
This place was recommended by a local that I trust & it didn't disappoint.
The pancakes are very necessary & the bone broth will help you survive the MTL winter.
Don't sleep on the avo toast, also a certified banger!View more
I've been coming to September 2-3 times a month for a few years now & I'll probably never stop going. Consistent coffee & matcha (always delicious, especially when made by barista Sonora). Consistent food (also always delicious). The breakfast sandwich is a fave of mine, as well as the tomato soup with grilled cheese. I do love the pancakes & the halloumi toast as well! But really you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I find the prices are well worth the value. Only downside is the seating areas since it's normally so packed. I recommend going on a weekday if you can or close to when they open on the weekend.View more
The pancakes & avocado toast were delicious. Probably the best avocado toast I ever had. Grilled cheese with tomato soup were great. The orange juice was fresh. Hot chocolate was goodView more
Café September is a must try, & for good reason! This cozy spot serves up some truly outstanding brunch fare. The avocado toast is a revelation, & the pancakes are simply divine. Don't forget to grab a cup of their excellent coffee, it's the perfect pairing. this café is small & incredibly popular though, so the service can be slow & arriving early is highly recommended. The lively atmosphere is part of its charm, & the friendly staff make the experience even better. Despite the crowds, the quality of the food & the overall vibe make Café September a must-visit for any brunch enthusiast!View more
View more
Delicious amd great service!! Its very busy but somehow you manage to find a spot since people eat & leave pretty fast. I'd recommend this place ! The cinnabuns, Pancakes & mushrooms burrata toast✨View more

Super amazing spot! We got there before the diner rush. Halloumi toast was exquisite. Gave me a little nostalgia from a former trip to Eastern Australia.View more
