We loved it so much we went back-to-back days for breakfast. The pancakes were even more delicious than they look! No matter what time of day you, you must get the pancakes. It's big enough to be shared for two & worth going just for them. The avocado toast is delicious as well. The plates are more than if enough, so come hungry or be prepared to share. Aside from the food, the drinks were your classic cafe options & delicious. If you can squeeze in dessert, I recommend the chocolate chip cookie. Overall, our favorite breakfast place in Montreal, & we will be back.View more

One of my favourite local brunch spots. Love the pancakes & breakfast sandwich. Honestly every item I've tried on the menu really hit home. Only complaint is the ridiculously long line on the weekends & limited seating as well. Going there has to be a time investment in the mornings which is honestly be a detternt.View more

September Surf Café is a must-visit in Montreal.
Their Classic Pancakes, Avocado Toast, & Halloumi Cheese Sandwich are the favourites, but the Halloumi Sandwich stands out the most. Its complex, well-balanced flavours never get boring, & it's satisfying to the last bite.
Don't miss the Chocolate Chip Cookie & Matcha Cookie for takeout-they're perfect little treats.
It's easy to spend over $60 for two, even just for breakfast, but the quality & atmosphere make it absolutely worth it.
If you want to avoid the lines, arrive at 8 AM.View more

We went on a weekday around 11am & the wait was pretty long! This place seems to always have a line & although the food & everything was good, it's definitely overrated! We waited almost 30 mins after ordering & paying for coffee & breakfast sandwich to-go. After eating & drinking the food, it didn't feel memorable & I'm certain I can find same or better elsewhere for a fraction of the price & time. Overall, it was fun trying it but I wouldn't consider ever going back merely because of how the wait is… doesn't feel worth it!View more

I have heard nothing but wonderful things about September cafe. We got there early so we didn't have to wait in the long line. I got the breakfast sandwich & it just did not live up to the hype. It was good but nothing amazing & outstanding like I had heard. It was pretty cheap for the sandwich so that's a plus. Sitting outside in the back patio was okay, happy to have been able to sit outside at least. Not somewhere I would be dying to go back to.View more

There is a reason why there were line ups out the door for a Saturday morning. Glad we waited & line moved quickly.
We ordered the breakfast sandwich & deluxe sandwich- my husband said it was one of the best sandwiches he's had.
The pancakes looked incredible so we'll have to order next time.
They have seating both indoor & outdoor.

Loved the vibe, food & coffee of this gem in Montreal.
I had my first breakfast in Quebec here & I felt welcomed.
My pancakes were full of maple syrup & the oat latte was just perfectly done (not too hot, not lukewarm - just on point).

I've been coming to September 2-3 times a month for a few years now & I'll probably never stop going. Consistent coffee & matcha (always delicious, especially when made by barista Sonora). Consistent food (also always delicious). The breakfast sandwich is a fave of mine, as well as the tomato soup with grilled cheese. I do love the pancakes & the halloumi toast as well! But really you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I find the prices are well worth the value. Only downside is the seating areas since it's normally so packed. I recommend going on a weekday if you can or close to when they open on the weekend.View more

Delicious & well crafted food. Amzing breakfast place. But the seat organization & management needs some work. The corner bear the coffee machine can benefit from renovation (replace the chair stands with small tables). Many customers take longer than they should (work on their laptop, study etc. ). They should implement a clear policy to improve the dine-in experience.View more

This place has a lot of hype as it is always busy even on weekdays during the day. The cafe looks nice enough but the issue is the undecided atmosphere. You have 30% of the people there doing work on their laptops. But there is no wifi offered & limited outlets, so it's almost like they are forcing it as a work space. On top of this the rest of the people there are chatting away. I initially came here to eat & get some work done but did not find it a suitable space to work & went to another cafe afterwards. I ordered a breakfast sandwich & I have to say it was pretty plain. The pancakes seem to be popular though so I might need to spin back for those sometime.View more

September Café is a breakfast paradise that absolutely exceeded our expectations! We tried the tomato & burrata toast, which was out of this world-fresh, flavorful, & perfectly balanced. The avocado toast was equally delightful, with the perfect mix of creamy & crunchy. The halloumi toast & fried chicken sandwich were also fantastic, each offering a unique & delicious twist on classic breakfast fare. What really impressed us were the cold brews; every one we tried was simply amazing, with rich flavors & the perfect kick to start the day. The quality & attention to detail in every dish & drink we had were exceptional. The ambiance of the café is cozy & welcoming, making it the perfect spot to relax & enjoy a meal. The best iced latte in Montreal! September Surf is a very cool cafe in a cute neighbourhood. The food & coffee is excellent, the prices are really good too! I also love the classic breakfast sandwich, pancakes & avocado toast. I haven't tried other things but I have heard everything non the menu is delicious. I visit a few times a week & the quality is always there. However, often (especially on weekends), you can be waiting over an hour outside in line. In the summer it gets quite hot as there aren't many trees near by. The staff works really hard trying to get ppl through & they have a good system set up but it still takes FOREVER & can be very overstimulating/ loud. Perhaps an order ahead system could help fast track some orders? Either way it's such a minor issue compared to the quality I still frequent September.View more

This café is one of the best spots for a quick breakfast sandwich, pancakes, & cookies. Their fresh orange juice is far superior to the bottled variety. While there's a long queue on weekends, it only attests to the café's popularity & demand, & it's well worth the wait. A must-visit!View more

I heard SO much about this cafe so I was so excited to finally try it & it did NOT disappoint. Wow the food & the coffee were excellent!! The deluxe breakfast sandwich was so tasty & the halloumi toast with a refreshing coleslaw salad on top was phenomenal! but the star of the show was their perfect 1000/10 chocolate chip cookie with sea salt. It was by far the best cookie i've ever had in my life without exaggeration (MUST TRY) The cashier was awesome & the whole vibe was great! it gets packed pretty quick any day of the week so get there for opening or be prepared to wait in a long lineView more
