Even though there's always a lineup but its one of my favorite local brunch spots. They provided great coffee. & the food is amazing. We love the Pancake with the maple syrup & butter on top, such a good combination. & i love the halloumi toast, it comes with toast, grilled cheese & mixed veggies on top. It gives the perfect tastes with their dressings. Also the tomato soup is really good.
So happy that we can finally stop by at this place.View more

We went on a weekday around 11am & the wait was pretty long! This place seems to always have a line & although the food & everything was good, it's definitely overrated! We waited almost 30 mins after ordering & paying for coffee & breakfast sandwich to-go. After eating & drinking the food, it didn't feel memorable & I'm certain I can find same or better elsewhere for a fraction of the price & time. Overall, it was fun trying it but I wouldn't consider ever going back merely because of how the wait is… doesn't feel worth it!View more

Yes there's a line & all the tables are taken, but somehow the line moves quickly & seats open up.
The varied menu is delicious & such good value that it sometimes feels like inflation missed September. The pancakes, cashew chicken salad, salted chocolate chip cookie, or nourishing bone broth are some of my favorites. The coffees & matches are especially good, hot or iced. Also, they're thoughtfully open on Monday!View more

I had my first breakfast in Quebec here & I felt welcomed.
My pancakes were full of maple syrup & the oat latte was just perfectly done (not too hot, not lukewarm - just on point).

I've been coming to September 2-3 times a month for a few years now & I'll probably never stop going. Consistent coffee & matcha (always delicious, especially when made by barista Sonora). Consistent food (also always delicious). The breakfast sandwich is a fave of mine, as well as the tomato soup with grilled cheese. I do love the pancakes & the halloumi toast as well! But really you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I find the prices are well worth the value. Only downside is the seating areas since it's normally so packed. I recommend going on a weekday if you can or close to when they open on the weekend.View more

Literally the best cinnamon bun & mocha I've ever had. Seating & space was way too small - they should make this a bigger space. The crowds make this an unnecessarily stressful experience & you can't hear your friends but otherwise food & coffee were 10/10View more

Café September is a must try, & for good reason! This cozy spot serves up some truly outstanding brunch fare. The avocado toast is a revelation, & the pancakes are simply divine. Don't forget to grab a cup of their excellent coffee, it's the perfect pairing. this café is small & incredibly popular though, so the service can be slow & arriving early is highly recommended. The lively atmosphere is part of its charm, & the friendly staff make the experience even better. Delicious & well crafted food. Amzing breakfast place. But the seat organization & management needs some work. The corner bear the coffee machine can benefit from renovation (replace the chair stands with small tables). Many customers take longer than they should (work on their laptop, study etc. ). They should implement a clear policy to improve the dine-in experience.View more

Lovely cafe, but very busy. We arrived around 9am on a Sunday thinking it'd be fairly quiet but had to queue for 15-20 mins to order. Other than that, it was all very tasty. Delicious coffee & matcha, & amazing pancakes. The atmosphere was really nice too, & staff were very friendly too!View more

Had been wanting to visit this cafe for a long time, was finally able to. Loved the vibe of this place. Went on a Monday, & it was pretty packed with a lineup. I personally loved the soup. I've been there once. Good place, but it's really small, more like a grab coffee & walk-out place than sitting & sipping place. I was wearing a jacket, but there was no place to hang it. Only two spots at the bar were free, & I had to somehow hold my jacket, my purse, & manage to eat the pancakes. There were many people around staying in the queue, who also barely had space standing between tables. Not comfortable at all. Although the food was good 👍🏻View more

The best iced latte in Montreal! September Surf is a very cool cafe in a cute neighbourhood. The food & coffee is excellent, the prices are really good too! I also love the classic breakfast sandwich, pancakes & avocado toast. I haven't tried other things but I have heard everything non the menu is delicious. I visit a few times a week & the quality is always there. However, often (especially on weekends), you can be waiting over an hour outside in line. In the summer it gets quite hot as there aren't many trees near by. The staff works really hard trying to get ppl through & they have a good system set up but it still takes FOREVER & can be very overstimulating/ loud. Perhaps an order ahead system could help fast track some orders? Either way it's such a minor issue compared to the quality I still frequent September.View more

This is my second time to visit. The first time I just stepped into the restaurant & left immediately because the place was too hot & too crowded. This time, I wanted to give it a try because a friend insisted that I should try it. The food & coffee are good. It's a self-service cafe - you have to line up to order, then you have to pick up your coffee & fill your own water. You'll have to look for a table & set yourself up. The plates will be served on the table, but the tables are uncomfortable. The only quiet place is the backyard, which smells like fish. I don't think I will come again.View more

Stumbled upon this place because we just wanted to grab some bites & coffee & apple maps showed this was the closest one. Upon arrival, it was busy & there was a line that went out along the side walk. The line goes fast though so if you want to try this place, definitely do. Ordered the fried chicken sandwich & had fries. Multiple seating areas & a small back patio area. 2 Bathroom available Food was good & variety of options on the menu. Service was great. I heard SO much about this cafe so I was so excited to finally try it & it did NOT disappoint. Wow the food & the coffee were excellent!! The deluxe breakfast sandwich was so tasty & the halloumi toast with a refreshing coleslaw salad on top was phenomenal! but the star of the show was their perfect 1000/10 chocolate chip cookie with sea salt. It was by far the best cookie i've ever had in my life without exaggeration (MUST TRY) The cashier was awesome & the whole vibe was great! it gets packed pretty quick any day of the week so get there for opening or be prepared to wait in a long lineView more
