The pancakes were even more delicious than they look! No matter what time of day you, you must get the pancakes. It's big enough to be shared for two & worth going just for them. The avocado toast is delicious as well. The plates are more than if enough, so come hungry or be prepared to share. Aside from the food, the drinks were your classic cafe options & delicious. If you can squeeze in dessert, I recommend the chocolate chip cookie. Overall, our favorite breakfast place in Montreal, & we will be back.View more
Tout était excellentView more
Scouting lineups from the previous week on Notre Dame,September Cafe was a must try. From Google description, this hip relaxed cafe is accurately described.
it's nice to be 30 years older
than the oldest person in the mosh pit line up. Waiting time is irrelevant when the vibe is right. Allexa at the cash is quintessential of the staff, smiling & receptive. Avo toast was excellent & my partner's Halloumi toast was even better. Salads look great Two lattes were made with the familiar flower design & hit the spot. Can't wait to go back again & get back into the mosh pit line up!!
Additional; just tried Crispy Chicken Sandwich including house salad .. amazing
Additional : celebrating a wily 83 year old ladies birthday,I had her wait on the terrace in the sun among the tattoos,LGBTQ community & vapers while I stood in the modest mosh pit line up. Comped a free cookie for being me & the ladies birthday. Lattes & avo toast were excellent, staff could not be more friendly & efficient. Birthday girls white hair remained white regarding youthful styles. sooo much fun.View more
September Surf Café is a must-visit in Montreal.
Their Classic Pancakes, Avocado Toast, & Halloumi Cheese Sandwich are the favourites, but the Halloumi Sandwich stands out the most. Its complex, well-balanced flavours never get boring, & it's satisfying to the last bite.
Don't miss the Chocolate Chip Cookie & Matcha Cookie for takeout-they're perfect little treats.
It's easy to spend over $60 for two, even just for breakfast, but the quality & atmosphere make it absolutely worth it.
If you want to avoid the lines, arrive at 8 AM.View more
Everything was great at this café!
We had the avocado toast, salmon, halloumi toast, chicken salad, & pancakes: it was all delicious.
Definitely a must-visit spot!View more
Good food (I had the matcha latte & the avocado toast), friendly service & cozy place. It was a tad bit expensive but I expect that from cute cafes. I will say most seating is stools, which may not be a problem for most people but I have back issues so it was uncomfortable for me.View more
I have heard nothing but wonderful things about September cafe. We got there early so we didn't have to wait in the long line. I got the breakfast sandwich & it just did not live up to the hype. It was good but nothing amazing & outstanding like I had heard. It was pretty cheap for the sandwich so that's a plus. Sitting outside in the back patio was okay, happy to have been able to sit outside at least. Not somewhere I would be dying to go back to.View more
Excellent experience at this cafe... the pancakes were quite literally the best I've had. Grilled Cheese & Tomato soup was also amazing!View more
September Cafe delivered on quality & pricing, making my visit enjoyable. I'd seen long lines before & wondered if it was overhyped, but the experience justified its popularity-though the wait might not be essential.
The banana bread was outstanding, & the latte, chocolate cookie, & sandwich déjeuner were all well-made. Seating was tight due to constant crowds, but the space was thoughtfully decorated & efficient.
No regrets-good food, fair prices, & a nice vibe. I'll be back to try more from the menu, confident it'll be just as good.View more
View more
Café September is a must try, & for good reason! This cozy spot serves up some truly outstanding brunch fare. The avocado toast is a revelation, & the pancakes are simply divine. Don't forget to grab a cup of their excellent coffee, it's the perfect pairing. this café is small & incredibly popular though, so the service can be slow & arriving early is highly recommended. The lively atmosphere is part of its charm, & the friendly staff make the experience even better. Despite the crowds, the quality of the food & the overall vibe make Café September a must-visit for any brunch enthusiast!View more
Found this place via Montreal Tiktok so we decided to try it out & it didn't disappoint us! There was limited seat & the cafe was super busy!! Luckily, we got seat & ordered brunch I ordered americano & grilled cheese with soup - amazing! The soup was super tasty & it went very well with the grilled cheese My friend got herself the sandwich deluxe & capuchino. She wasn't a fan of the cafe but she enjoyed the sandwich Highly recommend!!View more
Lovely cafe, but very busy. We arrived around 9am on a Sunday thinking it'd be fairly quiet but had to queue for 15-20 mins to order. Other than that, it was all very tasty. Delicious coffee & matcha, & amazing pancakes. The atmosphere was really nice too, & staff were very friendly too!View more
This place has a lot of hype as it is always busy even on weekdays during the day. The cafe looks nice enough but the issue is the undecided atmosphere. You have 30% of the people there doing work on their laptops. But there is no wifi offered & limited outlets, so it's almost like they are forcing it as a work space. On top of this the rest of the people there are chatting away. I initially came here to eat & get some work done but did not find it a suitable space to work & went to another cafe afterwards. I ordered a breakfast sandwich & I have to say it was pretty plain. The pancakes seem to be popular though so I might need to spin back for those sometime.View more
Nice café with good vibes. The food is delicious, with a good variety of small bites & meals. Staff is knowledgeable so don't hesitate to ask for help when selecting which coffee beans to buy.View more
Had been wanting to visit this cafe for a long time, was finally able to. Loved the vibe of this place. Went on a Monday, & it was pretty packed with a lineup. I personally loved the soup. As far as I know, weekends are crazy to go here. The ice coffee was on point & also my breakfast sandwich with tomato soup, soo good.View more
Bon, j'y retourne quand même encore & encore.
September Café is a breakfast paradise that absolutely exceeded our expectations! We tried the tomato & burrata toast, which was out of this world-fresh, flavorful, & perfectly balanced. The avocado toast was equally delightful, with the perfect mix of creamy & crunchy. The halloumi toast & fried chicken sandwich were also fantastic, each offering a unique & delicious twist on classic breakfast fare. What really impressed us were the cold brews; every one we tried was simply amazing, with rich flavors & the perfect kick to start the day. The quality & attention to detail in every dish & drink we had were exceptional. The ambiance of the café is cozy & welcoming, making it the perfect spot to relax & enjoy a meal. The staff was friendly & attentive, adding to the overall fantastic experience. September Café has truly mastered the art of breakfast, & we can't wait to come back for more. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a delicious & satisfying start to their day!View more
The best iced latte in Montreal! September Surf is a very cool cafe in a cute neighbourhood. The food & coffee is excellent, the prices are really good too! I also love the classic breakfast sandwich, pancakes & avocado toast. I haven't tried other things but I have heard everything non the menu is delicious. I visit a few times a week & the quality is always there. However, often (especially on weekends), you can be waiting over an hour outside in line. In the summer it gets quite hot as there aren't many trees near by. The staff works really hard trying to get ppl through & they have a good system set up but it still takes FOREVER & can be very overstimulating/ loud. Perhaps an order ahead system could help fast track some orders? Either way it's such a minor issue compared to the quality I still frequent September.View more
One of my favorite cafes in montreal! The avocado toast is a must - I especially appreciate the touch of pumpkin seeds! I've visited this cafe a few times & everything is always on point. The pancakes are incredibly fluffy & the scones are perfectly crisp & sweet! The matcha & cappuccinos are so good. The bone broth is also perfect during winter - the fresh ginger & turmeric are so flavorful. The cafe is always packed but the line always moves relatively quickly & the service is super friendly!View more
This is my second time to visit. The first time I just stepped into the restaurant & left immediately because the place was too hot & too crowded. This time, I wanted to give it a try because a friend insisted that I should try it. The food & coffee are good. It's a self-service cafe - you have to line up to order, then you have to pick up your coffee & fill your own water. You'll have to look for a table & set yourself up. The plates will be served on the table, but the tables are uncomfortable. The only quiet place is the backyard, which smells like fish. I don't think I will come again.View more
This café is one of the best spots for a quick breakfast sandwich, pancakes, & cookies. Their fresh orange juice is far superior to the bottled variety. While there's a long queue on weekends, it only attests to the café's popularity & demand, & it's well worth the wait. A must-visit!View more
I heard SO much about this cafe so I was so excited to finally try it & it did NOT disappoint. Wow the food & the coffee were excellent!! The deluxe breakfast sandwich was so tasty & the halloumi toast with a refreshing coleslaw salad on top was phenomenal! but the star of the show was their perfect 1000/10 chocolate chip cookie with sea salt. It was by far the best cookie i've ever had in my life without exaggeration (MUST TRY) The cashier was awesome & the whole vibe was great! it gets packed pretty quick any day of the week so get there for opening or be prepared to wait in a long lineView more
