My go to brunch place. I've had the best tomato soup with grilled cheese here. The place is a bit crowded so be prepared to stand in line, but it is so worth it. I have also had the avocado toast & halloumi toast, which is also really good.View more

The most amazing way to start a visit to my home-city with a new favourite brunch spot. My partner & I came here for brunch. There was a line-up outside but it moved at a good pace, & once inside it was a bit chaotic. The seating system was unique & we weren't sure we were going to stay, but we decided to stick it out. We are so glad we did. The food was absolutely to die for - we each had avocado toast with added smoked salmon (OMG) & we shared pancakes which were moist, fluffy, & mouth-watering. The cortados we had were yummy & the iced matcha latte was delicious. The staff are so kind. We struck up a conversation with barista Sonara (I hope that's correct), & that catapulted an amazing first day back home (they mentioned Jazz fest was on, & we managed to see Nas). Everything about our experience here was so memorable - the food of course, the staff, & the vibrant energy with Montreal charm. Very worth the wait & seating system. We love it so much we bought merch. You NEED to check this place out. We can't wait to come back.View more

We loved it so much we went back-to-back days for breakfast. The pancakes were even more delicious than they look! No matter what time of day you, you must get the pancakes. It's big enough to be shared for two & worth going just for them. The avocado toast is delicious as well. The plates are more than if enough, so come hungry or be prepared to share. Aside from the food, the drinks were your classic cafe options & delicious. If you can squeeze in dessert, I recommend the chocolate chip cookie. Overall, our favorite breakfast place in Montreal, & we will be back.View more

September Surf Café is a must-visit in Montreal.
Their Classic Pancakes, Avocado Toast, & Halloumi Cheese Sandwich are the favourites, but the Halloumi Sandwich stands out the most. Its complex, well-balanced flavours never get boring, & it's satisfying to the last bite.
Don't miss the Chocolate Chip Cookie & Matcha Cookie for takeout-they're perfect little treats.
It's easy to spend over $60 for two, even just for breakfast, but the quality & atmosphere make it absolutely worth it.

Came here on a Sunday morning there was a line however it did move quickly. Tables are limited & mostly filled however we got lucky & snagged one right away. You order & pay at the counter & they bring it out. Had a mimosa & ice matcha they were decent but nothing special. The avocado toast was quite good however I don't understand the hype around the pancakes as they were very dry . Overall not bad I would still come back for the toast.View more

Good food (I had the matcha latte & the avocado toast), friendly service & cozy place. It was a tad bit expensive but I expect that from cute cafes. I will say most seating is stools, which may not be a problem for most people but I have back issues so it was uncomfortable for me.View more

C'est vraiment populaire donc il y a beaucoup de personnes & nous nous marchons un peu sur les pieds. C'est petit alors si vous voulez manger sur place ce n'est pas facile de trouver une place. Amazing brunch !! There is always a line but it moves quickly, the place is always crowded in a good way. The pancakes & egg sandwich taste amazing 🤩 however the avocado&egg toast was not it at all the egg was really cold & not fresh 🫤 love their matcha also 🍵 Would have given it a 5/5 if the place was bigger & if the the egg was ready in the right temperature.View more

Café September is a must try, & for good reason! This cozy spot serves up some truly outstanding brunch fare. The avocado toast is a revelation, & the pancakes are simply divine. Don't forget to grab a cup of their excellent coffee, it's the perfect pairing. this café is small & incredibly popular though, so the service can be slow & arriving early is highly recommended. The lively atmosphere is part of its charm, & the friendly staff make the experience even better. September Café is a breakfast paradise that absolutely exceeded our expectations! We tried the tomato & burrata toast, which was out of this world-fresh, flavorful, & perfectly balanced. The halloumi toast & fried chicken sandwich were also fantastic, each offering a unique & delicious twist on classic breakfast fare. What really impressed us were the cold brews; every one we tried was simply amazing, with rich flavors & the perfect kick to start the day. The best iced latte in Montreal! September Surf is a very cool cafe in a cute neighbourhood. The food & coffee is excellent, the prices are really good too! I also love the classic breakfast sandwich, pancakes & avocado toast. I haven't tried other things but I have heard everything non the menu is delicious. I visit a few times a week & the quality is always there. However, often (especially on weekends), you can be waiting over an hour outside in line. In the summer it gets quite hot as there aren't many trees near by. The staff works really hard trying to get ppl through & they have a good system set up but it still takes FOREVER & can be very overstimulating/ loud. Perhaps an order ahead system could help fast track some orders? Either way it's such a minor issue compared to the quality I still frequent September.View more

One of my favorite cafes in montreal! The avocado toast is a must - I especially appreciate the touch of pumpkin seeds! I've visited this cafe a few times & everything is always on point. The pancakes are incredibly fluffy & the scones are perfectly crisp & sweet! The matcha & cappuccinos are so good. The bone broth is also perfect during winter - the fresh ginger & turmeric are so flavorful. The cafe is always packed but the line always moves relatively quickly & the service is super friendly!View more

Been wanting to go here forever, & it did not disappoint! Just an FYI before going, it is busy all days of the week at all times so it may be difficult finding seating! I got the classic pancakes with an addition of strawberries with ham on the side & I loved it! It was extremely filling though, so it was difficult to finish all of it. My lemonade was super good but very sour! My friend got the avocado toast which she really liked, but she said there was an odd combination of tastes when it came to the spicy spices & the sweetness of the avocado. She also did not know the egg would be cold. Her chai latte was very good! Would recommend!View more

The best avocado toast I've ever had! The combination of the spices used in the dish was so tasty & made the old avocado toast something new & special! The halloumi toast is amazing, too.
