Régine Café offers a cozy, vintage chic brunch experience with generous portions and creative, comforting dishes. The staff provide attentive, warm service and a thoughtful welcome that includes a juice shooter, with gluten free and vegan options available. Dishes range from decadent twists on classics like the Scotch egg, grilled cheese and banana French toast to lighter, vibrant bowls, all presented beautifully and tasting delicious. The atmosphere feels welcoming and lively, making it a reliable pick for a celebratory breakfast or a casual get together, though lines can form on weekends and a table reservation is helpful to minimize wait.
I went to brunch at Café Régine & overall, I'd say the experience was okay. The restaurant definitely has a strong personality & you can tell there's care put into both the service & the presentation. I also thought it was a nice touch that they offer a complimentary smoothie/juice shot when you arrive.
The service was good throughout the experience. The staff seemed hardworking & attentive, especially considering how busy the place gets. The atmosphere is authentic & full of character, although personally I found it a bit chaotic. There's a lot happening visually - both in the decor & on the plates themselves.
That was probably the main issue for me. The dishes are clearly creative & packed with components, but I felt like there was too much going on without the flavors being fully balanced. Some restaurants manage to create complex dishes that still feel harmonious, but in this case, it didn't really work for my personal taste. I just didn't connect with many of the flavor combinations they offer.
I can absolutely understand why so many people enjoy this place because it truly has its own identity. But for me personally, it's probably not a brunch spot I would return to.
Had a side of bacon, a mocha cappuccino, & the star of the show the Dor Banana. It was so delicious. I tasted the marscapone & couldn't take a photo. I had to EAT!
Une valeur sûre ! Mon restaurant déjeuner préféré depuis de nombreuses années. La nourriture y est excellente & vous ne trouverez pas meilleur service ailleurs. Excellent rapport qualité prix aussi.
Fantastic service where the staff really go above & beyond. Everytime I come the food is on another level, consistently one of, if not the best place to come for an excellent brunch.

I've been to Janine Café before (I think it's the sister to Régine), & I love them both! The food is always amazing, the staff are so warm & welcoming, & the place is beautiful. Definitely some of the best brunch spots in Montreal!
Ce resto vaut absolument le détour! L'endroit & la décoration nous transportent ailleurs, style vintage-chic, le service est impeccable & attentionné. Les plats sont copieux & savoureux, je recommande vivement.

Tout étais parfait comme d'habitude!! la nourriture arrive en même pas 15minutes & c'est excellent & bien presenté le service INCROYABLE & l'endroit est magnifique Merci beaucoup!!
Super impressionnée de l'accueil! Tout le monde m'a souri & m'a salué à mon arrivée 😃 j'ai été très bien conseillé par le serveur & mon assiette était plus que satisfaisante & surtout succulente 😋 le café était parfait & super bien présenté 👍🏻☕💕 Ce qui a un peu gâché mon expérience c'est qu'on a placé un couple à 3 pouces de moi & j'entendais toutes leurs conversations absolument inintéressante! 😵?💫 😅 Mais pour vrai, à Montréal, Régine est un incontournable! 🥰

Ce beau petit restaurant nous plonge dans un décor d'une forte opulence visuelle & sensorielle. Les prix sont vraiment respectables & le services est impeccable. Point bonus pour le petit « shot » de leur jus du jour.
