Lovely cafe, but very busy. We arrived around 9am on a Sunday thinking it'd be fairly quiet but had to queue for 15-20 mins to order. Other than that, it was all very tasty. Delicious coffee & matcha, & amazing pancakes. The atmosphere was really nice too, & staff were very friendly too!View more

This place has a lot of hype as it is always busy even on weekdays during the day. The cafe looks nice enough but the issue is the undecided atmosphere. You have 30% of the people there doing work on their laptops. But there is no wifi offered & limited outlets, so it's almost like they are forcing it as a work space. On top of this the rest of the people there are chatting away. I initially came here to eat & get some work done but did not find it a suitable space to work & went to another cafe afterwards. I ordered a breakfast sandwich & I have to say it was pretty plain. The pancakes seem to be popular though so I might need to spin back for those sometime.View more

I had heard so many great things about this place & was excited to finally try it out! I came for lunch on a Thursday & was happy to find a spot immediately. The menu was so tempting that I wanted to try everything, but I eventually settled on the tomato soup & grilled cheese combo-& it did not disappoint. On a rainy day, this warm, comforting meal was exactly what I needed. The soup was rich & flavorful, & the grilled cheese had a deliciously crispy exterior with a surprise hint of jalapeno inside, adding just the right kick. I can't wait to come back & try the famous pancakes, the matcha, & maybe the rest of the menu (lol). My only critique is the interior layout-the high tables are quite small, & I can imagine how crowded & condensed the space must get on weekends. Still, I'm already looking forward to my next visit!View more

I liked this brunch place but not everything was perfect. The service, is not really present, you need to put your plates away at the end of your meal, you need to wait at the counter to get your drinks, they don't bring it to you. We only tried the famous pancakes. They are very nice & fluffy but I have to say that ours were nearly undercooked inside & also very very filling, not very light. I would not take this for only one person. We only ate half our plate each.View more

The seating setup is not good. Other than the bar stools the furniture is kindda hipster as another reviewer said here. The hot chocolate was fine. Not hot or sweet enough. The chocolate chip cookie was dry & crumbly. I went there for their much hyped pan cakes. Somewhat disappointed. Other than the bottom most pancake, the rest were dry. They need syrup & butter on each pancake. Gotta serve them in a way they are enjoyable to eat & not just pretty to look at.View more

Best orange Juice i had in my Life & really delicious breakfast deluxe sandwich. Avocado toast was a bit souer for me. Try to get the table at the back if you are a group. The pancakes are really good but take some time to be done, then, be patient!View more

I've been there once. Good place, but it's really small, more like a grab coffee & walk-out place than sitting & sipping place. I was wearing a jacket, but there was no place to hang it. Only two spots at the bar were free, & I had to somehow hold my jacket, my purse, & manage to eat the pancakes. There were many people around staying in the queue, who also barely had space standing between tables. Not comfortable at all. Although the food was good 👍🏻View more

L'attente dépasse souvent les 30-40 minutes commande comprise mais il vaut le coup! Le brunch est délicieux, les pancakes sont vraiment incroyable & le cadre est plutôt sympa. Les tables dehors ne sont pas très agréables mais il y a quelques tables à l'intérieur qui sont en hauteur & un peu mieux pour manger. Probablement un des meilleurs brunch de Montréal !View more

Simply: Great food. Breakfast sandwich & grilled halloumi toast are incredible. Good pancakes too. Seating's a bit restricted & lines are long but for good reason - incredibly worth it every time. Line moves pretty fast & they're v efficient with the demands so even if it looks long, it moves fast & so worth it at the end!View more

The best iced latte in Montreal! September Surf is a very cool cafe in a cute neighbourhood. The food & coffee is excellent, the prices are really good too! I also love the classic breakfast sandwich, pancakes & avocado toast. I haven't tried other things but I have heard everything non the menu is delicious. I visit a few times a week & the quality is always there. However, often (especially on weekends), you can be waiting over an hour outside in line. In the summer it gets quite hot as there aren't many trees near by. The staff works really hard trying to get ppl through & they have a good system set up but it still takes FOREVER & can be very overstimulating/ loud. Perhaps an order ahead system could help fast track some orders? Either way it's such a minor issue compared to the quality I still frequent September.View more

One of my favorite cafes in montreal! The avocado toast is a must - I especially appreciate the touch of pumpkin seeds! I've visited this cafe a few times & everything is always on point. The pancakes are incredibly fluffy & the scones are perfectly crisp & sweet! The matcha & cappuccinos are so good. The bone broth is also perfect during winter - the fresh ginger & turmeric are so flavorful. The cafe is always packed but the line always moves relatively quickly & the service is super friendly!View more

This café is one of the best spots for a quick breakfast sandwich, pancakes, & cookies. Their fresh orange juice is far superior to the bottled variety. While there's a long queue on weekends, it only attests to the café's popularity & demand, & it's well worth the wait. A must-visit!View more

Been wanting to go here forever, & it did not disappoint! Just an FYI before going, it is busy all days of the week at all times so it may be difficult finding seating! I got the classic pancakes with an addition of strawberries with ham on the side & I loved it! It was extremely filling though, so it was difficult to finish all of it. My lemonade was super good but very sour! My friend got the avocado toast which she really liked, but she said there was an odd combination of tastes when it came to the spicy spices & the sweetness of the avocado. She also did not know the egg would be cold. Her chai latte was very good! Would recommend!View more
