Café Rì Yuè comes across as a small, cozy and visually charming cafe near Place des Arts, beloved for inventive drinks and beautiful pastries that range from matcha and hojicha lattes to yuzu and ube cheesecakes, macarons, and other delicate desserts, with many reviews highlighting the quality and presentation. The vibe is intimate and welcoming, with plenty of natural light and cute decor, but seating can be limited and at times the space feels crowded, sometimes requiring customers to share tables. The staff are frequently praised for friendliness and attentiveness, though a few notes mention variable service and occasional delays or mix ups. Prices are sometimes described as a bit high for the portions, though the menu of full cakes is noted as convenient for celebrations. The cafe is repeatedly recommended for a quick coffee break or to meet a friend, and fans celebrate its desserts as not too sweet and beautifully crafted, with standout items like the matcha strawberry cake, yuzu cheesecake, and white chocolate matcha drinks. Overall, Café Rì Yuè appears to deliver a consistently cute and tasty experience for dessert lovers and matcha fans, even as space limitations and occasional service quirks keep it from being ideal for larger groups or longer study sessions.
This super cute coffee shop is right next to place des arts métro. They make amazing coffee & even better desserts!
.
One thing not to miss are their giant macarons!
.
I got the basque cheesecake, mushroom focaccia, & a white chocolate matcha latte!
Convenient location & hours! Desserts are very cute & delicious. Tried their hochija latte with white chocolate & soy milk - did not taste the chocolate, & the soy milk brand was not delicious.
The coffee was also barely lukewarm - strongly recommend to mention it to the Barnstable to make your order hot to enjoy flavor fully! :-)
They have free water, can dine on site with cute cups, or can take to-go!
We stopped by here for a coffee break & ended up blown away by the offerings! The unique drinks are genuinely very well executed dessert drinks. Highly recommend the pineapple americano & the matcha cake.
The cafe can get kind of cramped as its pretty small but the patio is laid out very well.

While visiting from the U.S., I decided to take the 30 minute walk in the rain for dessert, on a whim. This place did not disappoint, & it was well worth it! The earl grey'bear'. Reminded me of fruity pebbles, without the bad stuff.
The Ube Cheesecake was exquisite! NONE of the desserts purchased were too sweet or left us with a heavy bloated feeling. We ate them too fast, before we could take a photo.
Very nice cafe, right outside place des art station !
Be cautious on the weekend, the place can get full quickly (fortunately, there are tables outside in spring/summer)
Also, there is a no laptop/studying rule in the weekend, so be mindful 😌
Loved the macaroons they were so so good !
I'm a bit passion fruit lover, so I was truly satisfied with the desserts & the drinks !

Asian style cafeteria with interesting drinks & desserts. You'll definitely have trouble picking what to get!
Good work place during the week, since on the weekends no laptops are allowed. It is quite small so you might not find a table.
It can feel a bit cramped, but it's good enough for a few hours.
Strongly recommend the macarons, strawberry cream cake & the ube basque cheesecake!
(Do not recommend black sesame latte, it's just thick & tastes like plain vanilla).
I don't have a sweet tooth & was recommended this place as their desserts aren't too sweet & you know what they say: "Not too sweet" is the best Asian compliment for desserts! My partner was a big fan of the matcha strawberry shortcake. It was light, not too sweet, the strawberries were fresh & the sponge cake wasn't doused in syrup!
A super cute cafe with Asian themed desserts, coffee, & tea. There are several small tables on one side of the cafe, which is ideal for about 2 people each but will feel a bit crowded if any more. The interior is bright with a classic vintage feel. The staff were friendly & efficient. The strawberry matcha cake & the chiffon grape were amazing! Light & not too sweet but still satisfying. Everything on the menu seems to be vegetarian. Would return to try more of the menu!
This place was always full of customers when I passed by which means I had to try it. Good thing I did because the desserts & drinks were not only tasty but also very cute (you're paying 8$ for a piece of cake but what wouldn't we do for the aesthetics). Friendly service & nice vibes!
