No hospitality felt & no technical habilities (would push our shoulders to pick up the plate or cross our plate with their arms). The level of service does not go with the price charged for the food.
Excellent service, great food to share & they were sensitive with my dietary restrictions. Everything was timed perfectly & the server knew when to take care of us & when to give us our space.
We had a relatively large corporate group. Despite this the service was personable, prompt & attentive. The food was excellent. Definitely one of the most popular spots our team have enjoyed. I suspect we'll be back.
Went they're in Monday night before a show. The atmosphere was good & the waiters are nice. The food was good but nothing impressive. A little bit disappointed about the food temperature. Some plates arrived cold when it's supposed to be warm.
Solid meal with bold flavours. Duck was stunning, calamari dish (in particular the saucing) exceptionally balanced. Fried Sea Bass a showstopper & beautifully de-boned tableside. Chocolate Tart was unmemorable (especially when compared to the fantastic starters/main) but didn't detract too much from the overall experience.
Great, cozy spot for delicious food! Ask your server for recommendations if in doubt, you won't be disappointed. Cocktails were wonderful also. I would like to try every menu option, I don't think I'd be disappointed with any. Definitely plan to visit again if in the area!
If you are considering dining here, just go. You will not be disappointed. Everything is delicious & the service is excellent. I strongly recommend the scallops & the Gnocchi.

Incredible experience from start to finish. Upscale dining done in a cool, unpretentious way. We enjoyed oysters, calamari, tartare, & duck. Food was exceptional! This is our new favorite in Montreal.
Good dinner at Cadet, the fried sea bass was delicious, & enjoyed the duck, tomato + burrata, & beets dishes. Gnocchi dish wasn't worth the price, I'd skip it. Chocolate tart was 100% worth it. Service felt a bit rushed, & the mains could have been paced better. Appreciated the non alcoholic drink options!
Visiting from out of town & was recommended to check out this place. The dishes are inventive & DELICIOUS. You won't find the same dish from elsewhere as they may it uniquely. as many reviewers have said this place is best. If you have someone to share your dishes with the portion varies but all of them share a common thing. They're all really good. It may seem the price is on the higher side, but when you think of the experience is comparable to a tasting menu. This is in fact a steal
Cadet is a fantastic spot for sharing delicious & sophisticated tapas-style dishes. The service is quick, professional, & efficient, making it an ideal choice for a pre-show dinner before heading to the orchestra or ballet. The only downside is that the tables are quite close to each other, so it can get a bit loud when it's crowded & depending on where you're seated. Overall, I still highly recommend it!
To the owner of Cadet, My partner & I are visiting the town from Auckland, New Zealand. We were impressed by our waiter, Rosemonde (Rose), & her service that made us feel at home. It was a perfect dining experience to bring home & tell our friends. She is a valuable asset to your restaurant, & you should consider a pay raise.
