Review Summary

Brasserie Angélique is described in reviews as a place with delicious, well presented dishes and a warm, inviting atmosphere, with tasting experiences and brunch highlighted as standouts. When service is on, staff are praised for being attentive and professional, yet there are recurring concerns about inconsistent kitchen performance, long waits, and meals arriving lukewarm or cold. Dishes such as brie appetizers, crostini, seafood and beef offerings receive mixed reactions, with some plates praised for flavor and presentation and others criticized for preparation or timing. The wine list and cocktails are frequently complimented, and the ambiance is repeatedly described as cozy and refined, suitable for romantic dinners or casual meals. Several reviews note improvements after earlier issues and appreciation for the staff addressing problems, while a few readers remain hesitant about returning due to past experiences or pricing. Overall Brasserie Angélique is seen as a charming gem with potential, offering generous portions and a thoughtful menu, and many reviewers express willingness to revisit.

As you can see below, We had a terrible experience 7 months ago...
We went back tonight with another couple & the meal & service were excellent! Veronica waited on us & was so nice & professional! Food was exquisite & the whole experience was so positive... The restaurant has fixed the issues & gained us back as customers! Total positives & well done to the owners who fixed the issues...Brasserie Ste Angelique is now on our top list...Well done!

Terrible!!! We support their other restaurant ( Main Kitchen) in Hudson which is great...This new restaurant was our first visit & last! Went for dinner with a res for 6.30 PM walked out at 8.30 PM without dessert or other...We were 4 tables in total! Food was not up to par. Quality was fine but preparation was way off...Appetizer for my wife was a baked brie with a maple syrup coulis...Served in a pastry. No salt or pepper on the table & no bread..We asked for bread & after 5 minutes I went to the only waitress on duty & asked for the bread as she was chatting at the bar...She said the bread was in the oven as they had no'regular' baguettes but crostini. She finally came back with the crostini with garlic on them & they were cold...Think they were from a previous order as they were cold & not been in the oven & hard as rocks..Main dish for my wife was a surf & turf which was quality but all veggies way overcooked. I had scallops which were quality & well prepared but my meal was served almost cold....One waitress on hand & not'on the ball' I can imagine if the place had been full! Two hours & spent over $ 200.00 & not going again...No quality control & I suggest they get their act together as the business will not last based on what we experienced...

What an amazing new spot in Saint-Lazare. Bravo to the team for opening. From the initial greeting, to the atmosphere, to the 5 star service, to the great menu, it was all impeccable.
We ordered the seared scallops & a steak.
If you are looking for a great brunch on Sunday, Brasserie Angélique is a perfect venue. Lovely twist on some classic dishes.

We were thrilled to see this little spot reopen as a "table gourmand" & applaud the team there for the renovation & friendly service. Not sure they settled on what they want to be…brasserie or wine bar? Nevertheless the menu looks interesting but our first meal there left us disappointed as this place is not owned by newbies to the business. Hopefully the rough edges will be smoothed out & flavours not so jumbled. Mention of bone splinters in our escargot appetizer (served in half bone…creative) did not seem to concern anyone. It would have been nice to have been greeted by the owners on the occasion of a "soft opening". But they too might have had opening night jitters?! Prices are on the higher scale so with time should reflect a little more finesse. We wish them well …. While we give it some time before we return.
