C'est un sans faute de l'accueil jusqu'au dessert. Le menu dégustation est très recommandable. Je recommande l'accord de vins avec. Le choix des vins est excellent.
Je mettrai un léger bémol tout de même sur le tartare de veau qui manque un peu de caractère. Mais c'est un 5 étoiles quand même.
Mention spéciale pour notre serveur Jason qui a l'oeil de lynx, une répartie parfaite, poli & serviable. Il connaît son métier. Sa connaissance parfaite de la carte en font un atout indéniable de l'expérience.
Mention spéciale également pour la sommelière qui par un humour & une connaissance de ses vins apporte une technicité à cette soirée.
Cette équipe de feu a fait que cette soirée d'anniversaire est parfaitement réussie.

Nous avons eu le plaisir de vivre une expérience gastronomique absolument inoubliable dans cet établissement. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été charmés par l'excellence du service, attentif, professionnel & chaleureux. L'équipe a su rendre ce moment unique, en étant d'une grande souplesse face à quelques restrictions alimentaires que nous avions.
La nourriture, est un véritable voyage. Nous avons opté pour le menu dégustation en 5 services, & chaque plat était un chef-d'oeuvre, alliant finesse, créativité & une présentation irréprochable. Les saveurs étaient parfaitement équilibrées, avec une maîtrise impressionnante de la cuisine raffinée.
C'est rare de trouver un lieu où tout, du service à l'assiette, est aussi magnifiquement orchestré. Nous repartons avec des souvenirs mémorables & une profonde envie de revenir. Je recommande cet endroit sans la moindre hésitation à tous ceux qui recherchent une expérience culinaire exceptionnelle. Bravo à toute l'équipe !
Had a great time with my family here. I had the tasting menu with wine pairings it was incredible! Amazing flavors & textures. Every dish I had was great. I highly recommend it. it is expensive but you get what you pay for.
Food, service, & atmosphere of the restaurant were all phenomenal. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious & bursting in flavour. The service was fast. The staff were all friendly, helpful, & polite - especially Eric! Can't recommend it enough & will definitely be visiting again.
This restaurant offers more than just a meal, it is an experience catered by professionalism & care. Meals are given special attention & thought in their design & presentation. Regardless if you appreciate the flavors presented to you it is a feast for all the senses. From the waiting staff making you feel welcome & at home to a cozy atmosphere, there is not much I would change from dining here. Most certainly recommend for a unique outing!
Excellent restaurant, je recommande. Pris le menu en 5 services. De vraies bonnes idées, originales, des cuissons parfaites (surtout les viandes). Comme souvent en Amérique du Nord, j'aurai préféré des plats plus contrastés. Il y a des partis pris qui ne sont pas encore assumés (agrumes champignons par exemple), & ça repose trop (beaucoup trop) sur le sel. Ca s'entend aussi dans la présentation des plats: trop discret. Mais la vraie expérience est dans l'accord avec les boissons. Chapeau à la personne qui prépare les boissons (les mocktails sont fous), à celle qui sélectionne les vins : c'est juste parfait. J'ai pris l'accord découverte, avec des vins/alcools du Québec & Canada: ça m'a reconcilié avec ce que j'ai bu de local jusqu'à présent. Là aussi, faut assumer, c'est plus de la découverte, c'est de la maturité!!!
Excellent experience with my spouse last week - we both raved about the cauliflower soup that was rich & super smooth. She had the hangar steak that was served rare (presumably sous vide) & I had the arctic char - excellent presentation & superb flavors. Highly recommend!
Our dinner was delightful. This was our first visit at the new location after many visits at the previous one. We were happy to see that the menu had many of our favorite dishes from the previous restaurant - specifically the eggplant & scallops (both pictured). The ambience of the new location certainly matches the food better than the old space did. The service was very attentive & warm. The sommelier recommended an excellent bottle of wine with our meal for my wife & I. Every plate was perfectly prepared & delicious. & the staff was even quick to change our table, at our request, when the neighboring table had a baby (who brings a 2 year old to a fine dinning restaurant for dinner?). All in all the meal & service was excellent. We look forward to our next visit back. Congratulations to Bouillon Bilk on the new location. We are very happy to have you back.
We made reservations at Bouillon Bilk ln the same day on a weekday & we are so happy we went! The interior is dim so if you have poor eyesight, you might need to use your phone for it's brightness. The menu says 8 course is from 8pm onwards but we were told that because it's a weekday & not too busy, we could do the 8 courses. The appetizers were delicious & made us very excited for the mains. The cod was so good & flakey. It was cooked perfectly & the flavors were amazing. The lamb was my husband's favorite. The duck is duck breast & a duck heart. I've never seen duck heart served in a restaurant before so that was very interesting. It was actually more tender than the duck breast! The green apple dessert was tart & definitely a palate cleanser. The pear dessert's sorbet component was a big hit. It was light & full of pear flavor. We were celebrating our anniversary & Bouillon Bilk was kind enough to put candles on our dessert. The staff are very patient & kind. Highly recommend Bouillon Bilk!!
New location is a let down. The food changed from the previous location. The food was overall lacking in flavours & missed the wow factor they used to have before with the modern french fusion. The most memorable dish was the duck with the extra foie gras (the extra is recommended), thought the duck was not tender which made the dish as a whole disappointing, the foie gras poêlé was a huge hit. The service was very slow while the place wasn't very full. They we're probably understaffed, we did notice that they grouped up often at the bar just to chit chat. Beside that, the waiters were very keen to details & helpful when you were able to get a hold of them. My experience at the restaurant took 2 hours & 30 mins, the 5 courses were served over the span of 2 hours. The atmosphere is very quiet & the decor is very modern, it gives out a very classy & delicate feels to it. Pre incident that forced the first location closed, this restaurant used to be in my top 3 restaurants in Montréal, unfortunately with the reopening, it fell down my list & I wouldn't recommend this place anymore.
Une expérience culinaire exceptionnelle, le personnel est aimable & une excellente connaissance du menu & des accords mets-vins. Je recommande vivement ce restaurant autant pour découvrir de nouvelles saveurs mais aussi pour se faire surprendre simplement.
The new space is very beautiful, tall ceilings. Very open airy space, a little dark but goes with the ambiance. They offer tasting menus (5 or 8 courses) as well as a La carte. As it was a special celebration, we went with the 5 course tasting menu. Just a note, the 8 courses are only available after 8 PM. The food was beautifully plated & extremely tasty! Also we were all shocked with the size of the plates. With some other restaurants, their testing menu plates can be pretty small. But here, they were generous! We definitely did not leave hungry! The lamb filled cappellini was so good, it came with mushrooms which my boyfriend hates. But he actually loved these ones which is saying A LOT! The duck was super flavorful & tender. The sauce was amazing! I am missing the picture of the dessert, which was squash-based. Standard Asian compliment for dessert: not too sweet! Lots of different texture elements making it a real treat. The service was excellent. Very attentive & polite! It was a pleasure. This place hasn't disappointed! Last time I visited was 5 years ago & this meal was even better! Definitely recommend for a special occasion!
Have you ever been excited to go to a restaurant because of its reputation & then have been a little disappointed? That's how I felt about Bouillon Bilk. The food is good - notably the beef carpaccio style appetizer & the cappellitti were phenomenal. While I felt like the scallops & tuna were good- they lacked a little "je ne sais quoi". However, the reason for the 4 star really came down to experience. Unfortunately, no quality check was done for any of our meals & the runners were going over the dishes so quick as if really trying to get the job done as fast as possible. I will still recommend bouillon bilk - the quality of the produce is top notch & the wine selection is great!
Restaurant gastronomique du centre animé de Montréal, nous avons bien mangé. Cependant, le tarif était très onéreux, & à plusieurs reprises nous nous sommes dit qu'il manquait quelque chose. Ne mangeant que très peu salé, les ravioles aux petits pois m'ont quelque peu brulé la langue. De plus, l'accord mets & vins canadiens n'était vraiment pas à la hauteur de nos attentes. En bon français & dans mon avis personnel, je ne peux pas recommander cet accord. Le cidre en dessert... Je passerais la prochaine fois. Enfin, la serveuse regardant avec insistance le TPE pour voir le pourboire qui allait être laissé, ce n'était pas très agréable. C'était une expérience sympathique, mais pour 330€ à deux, cela fait extrêmement cher & nous sommes repartis un peu déçus.
Même dans leur déménagement ils ont conservé la qualité de leurs plats. Le service de Jean François mérite seulement 3* par compte Minh Doan le sommelier est impeccable 5* pour ses recommandations
A Tantalizing Experience. Bouillon Bilk is a must for those who seek an experience like no other. If you are willing to play with different flavours & textures I would highly recommend their tasting menu. An incredible assortment of dishes, uniquely curated to highlight nothing but pure flavour. We left not only satisfied but excited to have experienced such a remarkable set of flavour combinations. We will be back.
This is one of the best tables in Montreal & I stand by it - I've been dining at Bouillon Bilk for almost 10 years. If you like scallops, their version is a classic for a reason. Always perfectly cooked & paired with seasonal vegetables. Keep the bread to pick up all the delicious sauces that come with the dish. All the other entrees & main are good, creative & beautiful to look at. The service is premium - I never got a bad wine pairing with my meal. I highly recommend!
I've done the 8 course meal with the wine pairing twice at this place. Each time it's been an incredibly memorable experience & a gastronomic delight. Cannot recommend highly enough.
