Bouillon Albert was born out of a passion for convivial cuisine and a desire to recreate the warm atmosphere of Parisian bouillons. We draw inspiration from the simplicity and authenticity of French dining, while adding a modern, local touch, reflecting the diversity of the Plateau Mont-Royal.

I was able to get a seat at the bar. The noise level inside was quite soft, unlike so many restaurants today. The menu was full of compelling Bistro items. My meal was enjoyable in every way: perfectly imagined & prepared, each dish the perfect temperature, & the pacing between courses was also perfect, not rushed. I had enjoyable vin blanc with my meal, but the'signature' cocktails they were making also looked good. Service was wonderfully friendly & professional. I hope to get back here during my current visit.
classic bistro, comfortable, lively & casual, good atmosphere overall. staff were super welcoming, & the food was quick. great location if you're looking to try some hearty french food.
we enjoyed all of the items we ordered, with the oeuf mayonnaise being the most average. the most stellar being the escargot & duck confit, extremely well cooked & flavourful.
they do not have AC in the summer so just be mindful of how sweaty you will be, we managed fine.
The service was really nice & the spot makes for a cute date spot. It was really noisy with the windows open though.
The prices are fair but portions kind of small.
The food is okay, nothing really blew me away. Ordered the tartare, ravioli & profiteroles after seeing the great reviews about them. While they weren't bad, they just didn't leave much of an impression on me. The profiteroles especially were pretty dry like they were old.
While I appreciate having a more affordable restaurant in the area, I think I'd rather go down to l'Express & have something more substantial.
The night before, we were celebrating our anniversary, & the manager at another restaurant recommended this place. We were looking for something local, French, & with a good vibe - this totally delivered.
We showed up at 5:30 PM on a Monday, thinking it'd be quiet. Nope. The place was already buzzing, & by 7 PM it was packed. Luckily, they managed to seat us - & we're so glad they did.
Let's talk food: absolutely delicious. Classic French bistro with a little something extra. We had the escargot, Russian eggs, & bone marrow to start - all outstanding. For mains, we went with the duck confit, steak frites, & ravioli. We also order the mash potatoes (really amazing) green beans, & mushrooms. Every bite was fantastic. We were pretty full, but we decided to share a rice pudding on their recommendation. It was awesome!
Don't hesitate - just make a reservation. This place is clearly a local favorite.
We enjoyed the food & drinks but we were sweating like pigs. Downing water where the poor server kept refilling & the ice melted faster than we can drink it. I got a few mosquito bites so the mosquitos were dining on me whike i was enjoying my share of food lol. No air conditioning is my only complaint!!
The atmosphere is pleasant & the menu offers well-executed French classics at very reasonable prices. We particularly enjoyed the bone marrow, which was a generous & delicious portion. Every dish we tried was flavourful & satisfying, offering excellent value for the quality. It's a lovely place that we would happily recommend
Simplement parfait. Prix incroyable pour des faveurs extraordinaires.
Bouillon style restaurants in Paris are by far my favourite type. Loads of beautiful dishes for great prices. This place was no different, so glad they opened a place with this concept in Montreal. Food was BEAUTIFUL & delicious we tried half the menu. Excuse my horrible pics I was way too excited & didn't even take pics of most the food we ate lol.
Highly recommend the fish, the poireaux, & all the sides!
Great food, good service & decor. It's also well priced imo.
I will be adding this spot to my rotation for sure.
We had a wonderful dinner!
The food was delicious, even though the restaurant was full, the food arrived hot & quickly.
We sat at the bar, the bartender was very professional & polite. (Spoke perfectly French & English).
Super recommend!
Great space, friendly service & delicious. Still talking about the escargot. The duck was decent, loved the ravioli.
Wine list was solid!
Nice restaurant, comfort food, friendly staffs, sunsetting on the tables along with smooth jazz music, excellent vibes.
