Food is salty & not good compare with french resto i tried…
Come back… never🤭
Creative & delicious takes on classic French. Amazing, well priced house wine plus great bottle, cocktail & beer options.
Fantastic French restaurant with a great atmosphere! The food was unique, flavorful, & beautifully prepared, & the cocktails were just as impressive. I loved the open layout & corner location, which gives the restaurant a bright, airy feel with great views. Everything we tried was delicious, but the duck is an absolute must-order, it was incredible & the beef tartare! I would definitely come back & highly recommend this place.
Bouillon Albert was such a nice French bistro experience! My boyfriend & I were visiting Montreal & I made a reservation in advance. We loved the romantic & warm atmosphere & our waitress was very welcoming & kind, despite the restaurant being really busy. All the dishes we got were delicious, & the portions were generous for the price. For sure a spot I would revisit if I'm back in Montreal in the future!
Snagged in by the French onion soup. Very much enjoyed the trout & green beans. Pleasant service, accommodating in English. The bar is well-thought out - snuggle spots for couples, comfortable for solo diners. My barneighbour's escargot smelled heavenly & the steak looked perfect.
Budget-friendly French food & authentic experience!
My French boyfriend & I were looking for budget-friendly authentic French cuisine (as many French restos we looked up are on the higher end) the other day & we crossed upon Bouillon Albert on our walk. We didn't RSVP & had a seat, despite being full house. The waiters were nice & served us the full experience.
We had Beef Tattare. My partner had Duck Confit, & I had the Boudin Noir. Really good! Not too expensive for what you're getting, not too salty, & the duck confit was tender & flavourful. My favourite was their mashed potatoes on the Boudin Noir, it worked well in harmony with the fresh salad. We didn't order the dessert, but if you do come here, do order an entrée, main dish, & dessert for the whole French experience.
I recommend coming here if you want a romantic date night or a sweet hangout entre amis! I do recommend coming here with a RSVP as it does gets packed really quickly. Really loved the service & experience that I might recommend friends to come here for future meets.
Classic French bistro where you know exactly what you're getting. No surprises, just everything executed well & true to what it should be. The escargots, the hanger steak, the duck breast & the rice pudding are all really good. You eat well from start to finish, entrée, main, dessert.
Will be recommending this place to anyone I know who goes to Mtl! Don't miss the french onion soup & the rice pudding
