The food was great, but I was disappointed with the service. I also expected more of a fine dining atmosphere, but the loud music made it difficult to have a conversation during the meal. Overall, the service & atmosphere didn't match what I was expecting & took away from the dining experience.
Je suis déjà venue plusieurs fois au Bouillon Albert & je n'ai jamais été déçue. Les plats sont simples, mais super bien travaillés & toujours très bons. Mention spéciale au tartare de poisson que j'ai pris la dernière fois, il était vraiment incroyable !
L'équipe est toujours très gentille & aux petits soins, & le service est parfait à chaque visite. C'est une adresse que je recommande sans hésiter !
Fantastic French restaurant with a great atmosphere! The food was unique, flavorful, & beautifully prepared, & the cocktails were just as impressive. I loved the open layout & corner location, which gives the restaurant a bright, airy feel with great views. Everything we tried was delicious, but the duck is an absolute must-order, it was incredible & the beef tartare! I would definitely come back & highly recommend this place.
La soupe Lobster bisque était ordinaire car elle goûte peu de fruits de mer & un peu trop crémeuse. L'os a moelle était délicieux. Comme repas principaux: l'onglet de boeuf avec cuisson parfaite (médium saignante)... Ainsi que le foie de veau : bonne portion ; je donne la note de 4.5 * juste pcq les sauces étaient un peu trop salées (goût personnel!)
Points a considérer: les tables sont petites & on s'assoit presque côte à cote avec les clients voisins; L'ambiance trop bruyante . Difficile de trouver du stationnement...même a 21:30 du soir.
La facture était sans vins & sans dessert pour ce soir là!
Bouillon Albert was such a nice French bistro experience! My boyfriend & I were visiting Montreal & I made a reservation in advance. We loved the romantic & warm atmosphere & our waitress was very welcoming & kind, despite the restaurant being really busy. All the dishes we got were delicious, & the portions were generous for the price. For sure a spot I would revisit if I'm back in Montreal in the future!
