Greeting: took too long for the host to come greet us, meanwhile the waiters were going back & forth without even a smile, a glance or any acknowledgement our way.
Service: once seated the service was good.
Food: for appetizers we had the bone marrow & beef tartare. The tartare was very good but the bone marrow was extremely salty.
Main dishes: the pork belly was ok, the veal liver was good.
Portions: fair
Price: very fair, good value
Atmosphere: amazing, big open windows, great lighting, good vibes
Drinks: lots of choice, many price points, alcoholic & non-alcoholic available
Une très belle découverte! Les saveurs sont décadentes & tout ce qu'on a commandé était délicieux. Le tartare était particulièrement excellent.
Le service était rapide, attentionné & vraiment impeccable. Nous avons aussi beaucoup aimé la vue sur la rue Saint-Denis, qui ajoute une belle ambiance.
Un superbe souper père-filles où chacune a tout dégusté avec plaisir. Une adresse qu'on recommande sans hésiter!
Only issue was the temperature, which is very European, the lack of air conditioner despite hot weathers in mtl.
Although we were a large party of 10 people, we got all of our food within 30 min (with 2-3 items per person!). They were nice & open to changes of the reservations.
La première fois que j'y suis allée, j'avais été très déçue. J'avais commandé les ravioles du Royans, mais le plat était tellement salé que je n'ai pas pu le manger. Même constat pour la purée maison de mon ami. Le dessert ne nous avait pas convaincus non plus. Seule la rillette en entrée avait été un vrai coup de coeur.
J'ai tout de même décidé de leur donner une seconde chance, & quel changement ! Visiblement, une nouvelle cheffe est arrivée en cuisine, & les améliorations sont remarquables.
Depuis, j'y vais régulièrement, principalement seule, toujours pour la bavette, toujours parfaite. Petit plus très apprécié : il est possible de remplacer les frites par leur purée maison… qui est absolument délicieuse. La rillette est toujours parfaite. Je n'ai pas redonner de chance au dessert en revanche.
Le service est excellent, l'équipe est accueillante & l'ambiance est toujours agréable (notamment le monsieur qui accueille & répond au téléphone & les bartenders dames).
Les seuls points qui pourraient être améliorés, selon moi, sont l'accueil à l'arrivée - il arrive qu'on attende plusieurs minutes avant que l'hôte arrive, sans qu'on nous adresse un mot. Un simple « Bonjour, on sera avec vous dans un instant » de la part des serveurs / bussboy ferait toute la différence. Également, le choix des vins au verre est assez limité & propose des choix plutôt atypiques, à des prix que je trouve élevés. J'aimerais avoir un choix de verre un peu plus étoffée dans les gammes des classiques, à des prix un peu plus accessibles.
Malgré ces quelques points, c'est une adresse que je recommande sans hésiter & où je retourne toujours avec plaisir.
