Budget-friendly French food & authentic experience!
My French boyfriend & I were looking for budget-friendly authentic French cuisine (as many French restos we looked up are on the higher end) the other day & we crossed upon Bouillon Albert on our walk. We didn't RSVP & had a seat, despite being full house. The waiters were nice & served us the full experience.
We had Beef Tattare. My partner had Duck Confit, & I had the Boudin Noir. Really good! Not too expensive for what you're getting, not too salty, & the duck confit was tender & flavourful. My favourite was their mashed potatoes on the Boudin Noir, it worked well in harmony with the fresh salad. We didn't order the dessert, but if you do come here, do order an entrée, main dish, & dessert for the whole French experience.
I recommend coming here if you want a romantic date night or a sweet hangout entre amis! I do recommend coming here with a RSVP as it does gets packed really quickly. Really loved the service & experience that I might recommend friends to come here for future meets.
Bouillon Albert is an absolute gen! Warm atmosphere, friendly staff & outstanding French home-style cooking- dishes that are as beautiful to look at as they are delicious! Genuine, carefully prepared food at a surprisingly affordable price, even more budget-friendly than most chain restaurants. If you are looking for an authentic French dining experience in Montreal, this is a must. Highly recommended!
