Downtown Montreal is home to a brand new occupant, and we’re here to have a good time. A social lounge, an artisan bar and a modern bistro, Bivouac provides an urban and boreal gastronomic experience to all who pass through its doors.
Here, the objective is simple: to introduce guests to a whole new world of tastes and sensations. Taking advantage of the best that the Quebec region and its artisans have to offer.

In summer, the Bivouac Terrace offers a breathtaking view of the city and is perfectly located to enjoy the lively Place des Festivals. In winter, the Refuges du Bivouac offer to set up a camp for an evening under a beautifully decorated and heated dome that can accommodate up to 10 people, in the heart of the entertainment district.

I came here for a fixed Christmas menu, which was a 5-course meal. However, the time between courses was very long, & the service was so slow that I didn't have a good experience. I paid $125.00 per person for a poor service.

Service impeccable & belle ambiance. Pour la nourriture si vous êtes du genre cuisine bistrot vous serez peut-être déçu, mais si vous aimez la cuisine "gastronome" vous allez adorer. Dans le style c'est un très bon restaurant.

Trop cher pour aussi peu dans l'assiette. Nous avons manger dans un autre restaurant par la suite. Meilleur ailleurs. Menu extrêmement petit. Très cher!

L'ambiance est feutrée & agréable. Les tables sont assez espacées pour plus d'intimité. Le personnel est courtois & très à l'écoute de nos besoins. Les plats sont excellents & les choix sont variés.

Très belle place. Bruyant un samedi soir. Les plats sont exquis. Carte des vins très appréciée avec de bons tarifs. Service très adéquat. Quelques inexactitudes par rapport au site internet: pas d'accès à la terrasse d'hiver pour la vue, pas la possibilité de prendre un café sur celle-ci. Sinon bravo à toute l'équipe.

Had a fantastic evening at Bivouac tonight. Very much enjoyed the casually professional service, wine recommendations, & atmosphere. Had the Quebec oysters, beef tartare, lamb shank, & walleye - everything exceeded expectations. Definitely worth a visit. Will absolutely be back the next time we are in Montreal.

Excellent service & the food was delicious. We enjoyed steak, oysters & great drinks. Strongly recommend if you enjoy a good romantic atmosphere or a group outing. Oyster lover? Try Wednesdays for double the oysters at the same price!
