Downtown Montreal is home to a brand new occupant, and we’re here to have a good time. A social lounge, an artisan bar and a modern bistro, Bivouac provides an urban and boreal gastronomic experience to all who pass through its doors.
Here, the objective is simple: to introduce guests to a whole new world of tastes and sensations. Taking advantage of the best that the Quebec region and its artisans have to offer.
Bivouac is where guests can get away from the chaos of city life to explore, share and enjoy the quintessence of our nature, all during a meal.

Very nice! The wait staff was friendly & efficient. The food was delicious!
First Timer: We decided to come by this place just for a quick snack kinda. It was a total of 3 of use, we ordered Red wine: 9/10 Oysters: 10/10 Martini : 10/10 Rum drink: 10/10 compliments to the bar tender Banana cake: 10/10 compliments to the chef this was absolutely amazing!! As you can see everything we ordered was just as amazing as the ambiance. It was everything & the waiter was so polite & helpful with the menu. I'm not from Canada I'm from the US & she did an amazing job. I highly recommend this restaurant. Next visit I will definitely stop by. Thank you
No BBQ ribs available for advertised BBQ Sundays. No oysters available. Flank steak substituted for ribs & server did not ask how how I wanted my steak cooked...although steak & sauce was tasty. Chicken. Beautiful restaurant with balcony/outdoor dining. Cost - $150, no liquor, no dessert. Disappointed overall with limited food choices at 5pm.
Wonderful restaurant. We sat outside on the terrace which is super lovely. The service was beyond amazing. Sarah did a wonderful job of making sure everything was good. We started with a dégustation du chef, which was pretty cool & had wonderful flavors. I had ordered the 50$ steak which I had asked for medium rare. Unfortunately it came out medium well, but one of the servers was quick to see my reaction & without hesitation had it replaced. It was better the second time around. My wife got the callenolis which I have to say, the sauce was incredible. All in all I would definitely go again, I'd probably skip the steak due to personally it not being worth the price.
We had the pleasure of dining at Restaurant Bivouac last evening Prior to a concert. Fantastic! The atmosphere & food were the best, But the service was Extraordinary! Our waiter, Sarah was A joy & delight. SPOT ON, on every detail. But it was clearly a team effort in servicing every patron with The Entire Service staff. It was one of The best experience service wise I have had. Comes down to detail, & they top it. I would give 10 stars for the service if it were available. John Oakes
Good experience! Food was good, but a little expensive. The ambiance really is main attraction I would say.
