In summer, the Bivouac Terrace offers a breathtaking view of the city and is perfectly located to enjoy the lively Place des Festivals. In winter, the Refuges du Bivouac offer to set up a camp for an evening under a beautifully decorated and heated dome that can accommodate up to 10 people, in the heart of the entertainment district.

Nourriture à la fois raffinée & conviviale, excellent service, beau décor & bien situé. Rapport qualité prix bon, un peu dispendieux mais en vaut la peine.
Excellent repas! Décor très beau.
Serveur très attentionné, mais le temps entre les services était extrêmement long (1 heure entre l'entrée & le repas principal), alors que nous avions précisé aller voir un spectacle juste après... Le restaurant n'était pourtant pas très bondé, mais somme toute, possiblement que nous y retournerons pour un verre.

Très bel endroit, bien décoré & chaleureux. L'accueil des serveurs était très convivial. Nous avions pris le menu à 59$ car on allait à l'Opéra ensuite & qu'il est servi en 1h garantie.
Le repas était très bon: potage aux betteraves, magret de canard acidulé & patates douces, & en dessert un moelleux au chocolat.
Mon seul bémol est que le magret était trop nervé à mon goût, ce qui n'est habituellement pas le cas. Donc cela a légèrement amoindri mon expérience. Mais j'y reviendrai, c'est sûr, pour essayer leur menu à la carte.
We went as a group of 3. The ambiance & decor get a 10/10. The entrées were all very good, we took the scallops, the arancini & the carpaccio. The main courses were more of a miss. I had the filet mignon which was well cooked with a nice sauce, but my two dinner mates had the cod which was not well seasoned & accompanied with a strange mussel filled cabbage roll & the lamb shoulder, which also lacked seasoning & had an odd texture that made it almost inedible. The meal was saved with the desserts. We took the mille-feuille & the pavlova which were very good. However, if the main course is the worst part of the meal - something definitely needs to be adjusted in order to make this restaurant worth while for the price.
Suite aux commentaires, nos attentes étaient très élevés. Le décor du restaurant est très beau, avec une ambiance feutré.
Nous avons pris comme entrée un tartare de boeuf. Bon sans plus.
Comme plat principal, j'ai pris le Repentigny (filet mignon): il était parfait. Rien à dire. Mon conjoint a pris le Shawinigan ( agneau): grosse déception! L'assiette est arrivée froide. Pas tiède: froide! Nous avons demandé de la faire réchauffer. Par la suite, les accompagnements étaient très bien, mais l'agneau était insipide... il manquait d'assaisonnement. Très ordinaire, surtout pour un restaurant de cette catégorie! Le service était bien, mais un peu lent.
Est-ce qu'on aimerait y retourner? Non. Est-ce que je ke recommanderais? Probablement, non. Il y a des meilleurs restaurants à Montréal que le Bivouac.

Ambience & decor was excellent. Food was good. Although it came out quickly it was cold. Service was extremely below average. It wasn't overly busy for a Friday night but it took 20 mins before someone came to greet us, which was "I'll be back with you in less than 2 mins." Followed by another 7 mins wait to take our drink order.
No check in on the meals until the food was finished. We had read good reviews prior to going & thought we were in for an exceptional experience but overall I'd have to say this was an average at best venture.
Restaurant digne de mention. Les portions parfaites. Le saumon cuit à point. Le steak, un pure délice! Une tendreté sans pareille! Les accompagnements délicieux. La pouding chômeur, une quantité parfaite pour se régaler & agrémenter d'une crème glacée à l'érable sublime. Le mille-feuilles, la meilleure des pâtes feuilletés que j'ai goûtée à ce jour! L'accueil du serveur chaleureux, un joli décor. Une superbe découverte! Un restaurant qui vaut le détour! Bravo à votre chef cuisinier!
Nous avons adoré l'ambiance dès le départ avec ce décor chaleureux. Notre soirée ses poursuivie avec un service hors pair & professionnel de notre serveur Maxime. Les bons goûts & saveurs étaient présent du début à la fin de tous nos plats. Autant nos papilles que nos yeux ont été rassasié & ce, tout au long de cette belle soirée. Nous tenons à remercier la belle équipe du Bivouac & vous disons à une prochaine fois!

Quel bel endroit! L'ambiance, feutrée, est parfaite. Le décor est vraiment joli. Le repas était parfait, & Patrick, le directeur de la restauration, a eu des attentions toute particulières pour mon ami, qui célébrait son anniversaire (sans que j'aie à dire quoi que ce soit). Fantastique service. Merci beaucoup pour cette expérience, nous reviendrons c'est sûr!
Très bon service courtois, beau décor & ambiance. Carte variée malgré que nourriture bonne, nous sommes d'avis que cela ne s'est pas démarqué d'autant plus pour le prix élevé.
