In summer, the Bivouac Terrace offers a breathtaking view of the city and is perfectly located to enjoy the lively Place des Festivals. In winter, the Refuges du Bivouac offer to set up a camp for an evening under a beautifully decorated and heated dome that can accommodate up to 10 people, in the heart of the entertainment district.
Bivouac delivers a consistently high standard of cuisine that blends local Quebec ingredients with refined, creative presentations, with dishes ranging from seafood and beef to inventive vegetarian options, all plated with care. Diners praise the attentive, professional service and a well curated wine and cocktail program that perfectly complements each course. Excellent service de la part de tout le personnel qui s'est occupé de nous. La nourriture était délicieuse & les accords mets & vins ont bien mis de l'avant nos produits d'ici.
I ate in a bubble in the winter ($$$). The setting inside the restaurant was beautiful, while the bubble could be better furnished. The food was unimpressive, I was only a fan of the cured fish, & none of the wine pairings brought anything to life. Usually I find a good wine pairing to be magical. The service was friendly but really lacked refinement. I wouldn't splurge on the experience again since it fell short for me.
For my mother's birthday, I wanted her to have a special evening & a memorable experience; we dined outside on the terrace in the heated cube surrounded by the night lights. The food was excellent & prepared with love, the service excellent, we were not rushed. It was a very comfortable, warm atmosphere. Thank you, Mikael & our chef!
We had a lovely time having dinner here, during the holidays, with our two kids. Our server Claude was very knowledgeable about the food, drinks & wines, he guided us perfectly. The staff all seems to work as a team & cared for presentation & service. It was a little hard for me to find, there is an elevator bank in the mall, that goes to the hotel... that is how you get there. But when we arrived we were greeted fantasticly by the kind host, & she took our coats then seated us promptly. We are glad to have dined here, thank you.

Excellent experience way over expectations for a restaurant at the Double Tree by Hilton in Montréal. Phenomenally original high quality dishes & wine pairing. Beautiful interior architecture & service that paces the amazing food & wine. We shall return. Merci a toute l'équipe Restaurant Bivouac Montréal

Bien déçue d'avoir été ignorée après avoir reçu un courriel confirmant la disponiblité pour un groupe. Avoir su, je n'aurais pas proposé ce restaurant à mes collègues, ainsi que le menu, pour ensuite rester en suspend.
J'avais eu une meilleure expérience lorsque j'y était allé en couple & en famille . Ça terni malheureusement l'image que j'avais eu du restaurant. En même temps, ils ne doivent pas trop craindre de perdre de la clientèle..
Je comprends que les gens du service client puissent être débordés, mais je trouve ceci irrespectueux . Les restaurateurs apprécient savoir d'avance qu'il y a cancélation, ça va dans les deux sens .
J'aurais préféré un non à une absence de réponse & à l'incertitude. J'aurais, to the go réservé ailleurs, plutôt qu'être en stand by.
C'est fort dommage. Je ne recommanderais pas cet endroit aux groupes .
Comment terminer une grosse journée au bureau & une semaine éreintante à l'hôtel? Avec une soirée au Bivouac ! Menu soigné & plats de très haute qualité. & que dire de l'excellent service de Claude qui sait si bien conseiller, mais aussi de l'équipe extrêmement professionnelle, discrète mais présente & très attentionnée. 5 étoiles une fois de plus!

(18 octobre 2025) Dès la prise de réservation au Bivouac, j'ai senti que j'étais entre bonnes mains. Le personnel a démontré une excellente compréhension de mes besoins particuliers, notamment en ce qui concerne l'espace nécessaire pour mon fauteuil roulant ainsi que ma préférence pour une place en bout de table. Non seulement ils ont écouté attentivement, mais ils ont aussi parfaitement mis en place toutes les dispositions nécessaires avant même mon arrivée. Cette attention à l'accessibilité & au confort fait toute la différence.
Une fois sur place, l'expérience n'a fait que s'améliorer. L'accueil était chaleureux, le service attentionné & professionnel, & chaque membre de l'équipe faisait preuve d'une grande courtoisie. Côté assiette, c'était tout simplement délicieux : des plats soigneusement préparés, savoureux & joliment présentés, qui témoignent d'un vrai souci de qualité.
En résumé, Le Bivouac offre non seulement une excellente cuisine, mais également un service irréprochable & une sensibilité appréciable envers les besoins de tous leurs clients. Je recommande vivement cet établissement & n'hésiterai pas à y retourner.
Enjoyed lunching at Bivouac ! We had the set menu for lunch which included an entry, main meal & dessert for a decent price & the food did not disappoint. The pouding chômeur is delicious
Très bon restaurant, par contre un autre restaurant qui ne respecte par le projet de loi 72. C'est vraiment déplorable qu'un restaurant du genre décide de contrevenir volontairement à ce projet de loi au dépend des clients.
