Decided to come here before the hockey game & very glad we did! Small restaurant & quite busy but a very warm atmosphere. Our meal was excellent. We had a salmon special & a pasta feature. Next time I want to try the risotto. The mini meatballs they offered after sitting down were amazing. Just as good was the staff. Very attentive & friendly. I think regulars coming in they know but we felt just as welcome. Will definitely come again when back in town.

This place is certainly perfect for a romantic dinner. The service is impeccable. Unfortunately the food was just okay. Not bad, but we both had hoped for better. The octopus we liked most. Tuna Tatar (substitute that evening for salmon Tatar) not very flavorful & a little mushy. The duck also did not have much flavor, could have been any other meat. The eggplant dish was okay. Would not go back for the food, but the service was very attentive, knowledgeable & friendly. That made our evening.
We had a lovely dinner. The waitstaff was congenial, knowledgeable, & attentive. I'd recommend Bis to anyone looking for a great experience with Italian cuisine. It's not inexpensive, but by contemporary standards, it is worth the price.
My friend & I went to BIS last night, we did not have a reservation as we we had a reservation mishap at another restaurant. Even though they were fully booked, the owner was so kind & found a way to accommodate my friend & I who were going to see a concert after. The food was absolutely devine, I am very picky when it comes to proper Italian food, & the food tasted traditional & was made with quality ingredients! The mini meatballs they gave us to start were wonderful, as well as the bread with oil. I had the Veal Piccata & my friend had the eggplant; both were so tasty! The service was also top notch, the servers were all friendly & super attentive. I cannot wait to go back & bring my husband who is from Italy!
Wonderful food, carbonara & osso buco. The service was attentive & friendly . I really appreciated that they offered half orders of pasta which was perfect for me.
We will go again!!

Good food, all 3 of us enjoyed our selections: Lamb gnocchi, tasting appetizer, shrimp, breaded veal shank, veal in mushroom sauce. Very tasty!
Wait staff was very attentive.
I want to go back & try the cocktails & other menu items.
Fabulous dining experience. Paloma was wonderfully attentive & helpful when we ate dinner here. We loved the charming ambience, a very nice wine selection, & fabulous dishes done authentically. We chose the bolognese which was rich, dark, & fabulous, & the Osso Bucco which was quite literally falling off the bone delicious. Absolutely flawless execution, presentation, & experience.
We had dinner for 2 & were both blown away by the experience. Amazing cocktails, antipasti, & entrees. The host & his staff were very helpful & attentive. If we lived in Montreal, we'd be regulars.

Outstanding Italian restaurant. Creative food & an extensive Italian wine list. Attentive service, friendly but not familiar. We always make it a point to visit this restaurant when we are in Montreal.
We have been visiting Montreal for about 20 years now (4-5 times a year at least) & each time we make sure to eat at Bis. The food is always delicious, the staff super friendly & attentive, & the service is outstanding. We are remembered by some of the waiters which gives this restaurant a true "family" feel. Highly recommend for a tasty meal on a cozy space!
