We had a delicious meal & wonderful service from Partha. Great wine recommendation & food was amazing. We had seafood risotto, veal & carbonara. Would highly recommend for authentic Italian.
Salads were overdressed & Parmesan crisp not crispy. Pasta & risotto were overcooked & tasted like they were reheated in microwave, not cooked for us.
Restaurant was pretty empty for a Saturday night. Should have been a hint.

A fun restaurant before a Habs game. We were allowed to park close by & the resto gave us a voucher to cover the cost of parking. The food was generally good. Appetizers were delicious. We tried the Calamari Fritti, Salsiccia Peperonata & finally Zucchini Fritti. The main dishes we had the Ossobuco di Vitello with risotto milanese. We found the veal to be very fatty.
Also the risotto was lacking taste. The other dish we tried was the Melanzane alla Siciliana. It was very good however not very filling. Probably a good idea to have a little pasta with it.
Overall I enjoyed our dining experience.
The single word to describe this place in'cheap'!
They skimp out on everything!
What was supposed to be burrata, was actually a regular mozzarella.
The ossobuco was supposed to be veal, but was so tough that makes me think that it was either low quality or older beef. & the accompanying'risotto alla milanese' didn't have any zafferano.
Finally, the porcini risotto seemed to the pre-prepared kind that one finds at the grocery store.
They also Buco is delicious. It actually has bone marrow. The risotto is something to try because that's delicious as well so why not try both dishes? They say pictures worth thousand words so here's a picture.

It offers delicious Italian cuisine with great vegetarian options like risotto & truffle mac & cheese. Their desserts, including tiramisu & cannoli, are top-notch. The elegant atmosphere & attentive service make it a must-visit!
Went twice to Bis & I'm never disappointed. The staff is amazing. The carbonara pasta is amazing. The risotto was great. My cocktail was great & the dessert 10/10. I highly recommend.
Salmon & vegetables were cooked perfectly. Too much Risotto; needed much less & could have added something else to vary the dish somewhat. Wasn't the best Creme Brulee I've ever had. Lemon Cake was excellent.
The restaurant is really cute & cozy & the service was good. It's a nice setting for a romantic dinner. The veal shank with the risotto was delicious & I enjoyed the Cucu Coco cocktail & the dessert. On the other hand, I didn't like the calamari. It was oily & it needed more seasoning. I would also suggest maybe changing the chairs or the upholstery. Overall, I had a good experience there.

A lovely evening of incredible food, perfect drinks, & attentive but not intrusive service. Whenever we are in Montreal we make a point of dining at Bis - the best shrimp risotto my husband has ever had!
A very good restaurant experience, in a convenient location. The food was excellent, we had the risotto & pasta, & both were perfect. The shrimp risotto was particularly good, with the right amount of creaminess.
The food was absolutely delicious! My wife had the shrimp risotto, I had the cod. The best we have ever had. Staff phenomenal. Atmosphere charming. Would give more than 5 stars if I could.
We loved our dinner selections which included the Osso buco, shrimp risotto, & pasta with chorizo. Service was efficient & helpful. We happened to be at Bis when there were multiple birthday celebrations ongoing, thus the noise level was high. Great experience!

Decided to come here before the hockey game & very glad we did! Small restaurant & quite busy but a very warm atmosphere. Our meal was excellent. We had a salmon special & a pasta feature. Next time I want to try the risotto. The mini meatballs they offered after sitting down were amazing. Just as good was the staff. Very attentive & friendly. I think regulars coming in they know but we felt just as welcome. Will definitely come again when back in town.
We are regulars & love the resto .
We had to wait a very long time to ge seated & served which was due to the Madonna concert that night ...,no problem , we understood .
But ....When my husband did not eat his risotto , found it sour ( probably too much lemon ) it really should have been on the house . Or a least a complimentary dessert offered .
Also ,,I shared a plate ... addition 9$ no problem ... but it came on one plate , then after I asked to have it plated , two small appetizer plates arrived & no additional side vegetables . Very unappealing , especially given the 70+$ of the steak . I had to ask for tiny additional serving of vegetables again presented on baby plate. Given our patience , understanding & loyalty to this establishment & their exceptionally busy situation , it should have been appreciation by them & their actions & it certainly was NOT .
I had dinner at Bis with 3 longtime friends last night. We were well received & appreciated the cozy ambience on a winter's night.
For cocktails, my friends ordered Martinis & a Campari whereas I initially ordered a Mint Julep. The waiter did not know what a Mint Julep was. Seeing as though there is no bar, I decided to order something simple, a Godmother, a straightforward mix of vodka & Amaretto which I had to explain how to prepare.
When the waiter brought me my drink, he said « Here is your weird drink » I assumed this was meant as harmless ribbing, meant to be funny & so I politely smiled.
Things took a downright offensive turn, however, when one of my friends extracted a hair from her mouth after her first bite of a tomato from the antipasti platter we ordered. When she signaled the presence of the hair on our dish, the waiter replied that everyone in the kitchen had short hair - he left & came & asked "if" we wanted our dish exchanged.
Of course we did.
In the meantime, the manager came over to see us. As I saw him approach our table, I assumed he was coming over to apologize. Instead, he merely reiterated that "everyone in the kitchen is bald".
At this point, I was ready to leave as any restaurateur with a modicum of class would have simply apologized & removed the dish immediately, without question. The four of us were offended by the insinuation that was embedded in the insistence that the hair did not come from the kitchen staff.
Nonetheless, we proceeded with our meal. The food was decent. However, the waiter again scoffed at us, when my friend & I asked for extra parmesan on our lemon risotto with shrimp. He asked us "Are you sure you are Italian, because no Italian would put cheese on seafood!" By this point our patience for ribbing had worn very thin. While his comment is correct, lemon risotto contains parmesan as a core ingredient- the dish we were served was very creamy & so the extra cheese was not a affront to the shrimp which was mostly served already mixed into to the cheese broth. (The risotto itself was very good, served piping hot, but the shrimp element was overcooked.)
In a nutshell, the quality of the service was not congruent with the $500 we spent on the meal: I trust this feedback is received constructively so that future patrons may have a classier, seamless dining experience.
(I have taken the time to provide this review because I received an email requesting my feedback- a sign, at least, that on some level Bis cares about their patrons)
