Delicious food, from appetizers to mains to dessert. Attentive staff. An upscale & elevated experience without pretension. Some of the tables are situated quite close together which was the only drawback. Highly recommend this spot for a special date night.
I had an exceptional dining experience at this upscale Italian restaurant. The ambiance was warm & elegant, the service attentive without being intrusive, & every dish-from the freshly made pasta to the impeccably prepared entrées-was bursting with authentic flavor. The wine selection was superb. Highly recommended!

First visit. Will def return. Visiting Montreal for the weekend from Ontario. Made a reservation (preferred). Our server, Paloma, was exceptional. Attentive, friendly & professional. (& we were offered to taste the wine we selected to ensure we liked it) We were not rushed,.which was appreciated. Loved that they poured the olive oil/balsamic at our table) The food was amazing - fresh, authentic Italian. Portions were larger than we expected. I had gnocchi & husband had pork cheek carbonara. The mini meatballs (complimentary) were delicious. Great ambiance, low lighting & music in.the background - not loud. Perfect for a date night. Thank you! 😁
Finally a restaurant with excellent food, attentive but not intrusive service & where you can carry on a quiet conversation & be heard across the table. TX Ke Biz for a great dinner.
My bride & I were visiting Montreal & had the most amazing dining experience at BIS Restaurant.
The staff would have made a bad food experience excellent all by itself…..but what they did was make excellent food even better.
Paloma served us & was truly a pleasure to talk to. Her recommendations were spot on, her attentiveness was spot on & she was just overall amazing. Many of the staffed also stopped by our table to make sure all was well.
The food was fantastic Italian. ( as a former New Yorker I'd like to think I know good Italian food) Serving portions were perfect! The food came at a great pace & the temperature & quality were pure perfection.
The atmosphere is exactly what you want. Not a huge place , very cozy yet not crowded, welcoming, comfortable, & nothing was rushed at any point.
As i regularly visit Montreal on business, & have many friends there, this place will be my go to from here on out.
Rocket salad served in a Parmesan bowl was a treat
Veal saltimbocca with pasta was excellent
Lemon cake & Abogatta was amazing!
My gut tells me that the whole menu is great, & I intend to find out!

Loved this place! Even though we came in close to closing time, the staff treated us like they had just opened warm, attentive, & no rush at all. The Italian food was amazing, full of rich flavor, & the whole place was spotless & quiet. Service was top-notch, & the staff were super friendly. A truly great dining experience 10/10, highly recommend!
I don't even know how to start this review, the food, the service, the atmosphere, the experience?
It was so excellent that I kept thinking about our experiences at Bis during the rest of the day. It was my first time with a friend here, Marcelo, the manager, greeted us & made us feel home, the waitress was so kind & professional, another waiter was so attentive that it made me feel like I am having the meal of my life.
The meat balls were phenomenal, the wine that the manager suggested was exquisite, the warm fresh bread, the olive oil & balsamic were by themselves a tasty meal. The ragù left me speechless, even though I was full, I couldn't stop eating it. My friend got the osso-buck, the meat was so tender that you can mistake for butter, even the bone marrow had an exquisite taste, as to my coteletta, it was perfection… Just perfect, thin enough to feel light & thick enough to enjoy the breaded meet. The endive salad was so tasty that I felt lost & needed a whole afternoon to just enjoy every bite.
Then we had to go all the way & have a full, complete meal. The Limoncello was refreshing, the tiramisu & crème brûlée were to die for, & even the biscotti that is served with the espresso was from another world.
To sum this up, this place to me is the best Italian cuisine I have ever had the pleasure to experience, each individual visiting Montreal like myself should try Bis Ristorante. As for the locals you guys are lucky to have this restaurant in your city.
Five stars is an understatement, thank you Bis & your team for doing what you do.

Came here to celebrate my wedding anniversary with my wife: the staff were amazing, kind, & thorough with what the restaurant had to offer & details of the menu. Everyone was very attentive to us, & we felt very taken care of. Kudos to the amazing chefs, as well as the team who took care of us.
This is our favorite place to eat in Montreal & that is saying alot. Very attentive to gluten free food for celiacs customers & fantastic selection of beautifully presented Italian food. GF pasta is available for an array of excellent sauces. Lots of classic Montreal history to this restaurant which creates a wonderful atmosphere.
It offers delicious Italian cuisine with great vegetarian options like risotto & truffle mac & cheese. Their desserts, including tiramisu & cannoli, are top-notch. The elegant atmosphere & attentive service make it a must-visit!

Stopped by for a late lunch recently. The servers were top notch, very attentive & nice, & the restaurant itself is very well appointed. Our dishes were quite good, regrettably this visit did not warrant a 5* for the price point. I had the penne main course & the pasta could have been cooked much better. I will likely give them another shot at a full 5* review!
A lovely evening of incredible food, perfect drinks, & attentive but not intrusive service. Whenever we are in Montreal we make a point of dining at Bis - the best shrimp risotto my husband has ever had!
The staff is very attentive & the service was impeccable. The menu is rich & varied. The pasta with lamb ragú is very good, but was overly salty in my opinion. I would gladly return & explore more of their menu items.
Absolutely amazing experience ! We were a group of 12 & they managed to accommodate us last minute on Grand Prix Weekend. The staff were incredibly friendly & attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed despite the busy atmosphere. The food was exceptional & delicious dishes. Highly recommend this place.
