This is my favorite restaurant in Montreal for the food, the service & the host & the ambiance
I have been coming to this restaurant for more than 10 years & the quality of the food & service is always at the highest level. Oysters are to die for. Please order the shaved ice/thyme & the baked one. Appetizer are all wonderful but piglet risotto & octopus are perfect. Halibut always great & beef is always cooked to perfection served with perfect vegetable combination. Let them help you with wine choices. The wine list is incredible & wine by the glass are superb.
Please do not skip on dessert. They are the most sophisticated flavor with incredible presentation . Overall cuisine at the highest level. You will be so happy after you leave.
Tried to get a reservation for weeks & could not get in. Our last night in town we ended up walking up to the door & knocking & the staff was SO accommodating. We were immediately sat in a beautiful little table & treated to one if the best dinners of iur lives. The oysters were perfect & the oyster-sorbet was unexpected but surprisingly delicious. The poached fish was perfectly cooked, but the star of the show was the A5 waygu- so good! Don't forget to order dessert!!!
5/5
Excellent en tout points, très accommodant pour les intolérances alimentaires.
Nous y avons fêté notre party de Noël corporatif. Lieu iconique de Montréal. Cuisine, service & ambiance incroyable.
Christmas lunch 2025 was an absolute banger. Typical C&P style. 10/10
Excellent service, the staff were warm & very welcoming.
My favorite dish was the fish confit!
We went for dinner last night & had a very nice experience. The atmosphere is a very cool Old Montreal vibe, the service was excellent as was the food. We Will definately return.
Wow. I dined there on Saturday after reading a hilarious review about a cigarette & a scallop & it was an unforgettable experience. I enjoyed the risotto, & general dim lit atmosphere. I was impressed by the attentiveness of the service staff! Thank you to the whole team!
I was in town for business &, as I like to do, referred to the internet to guide me with particular interest in spots visited by the late Anthony Bourdain. Unbeknownst to me, I would find myself at a 2025 Michelin restaurant.
The food was phenomenal. For a starter, I had the oysters 3 ways which were excellent, every last one. My main was the duck confeit fois gras... I am not typically a duck guy, but I followed the recommendation of Helen, who was a marvelous host, & went for it. I am so glad I did! It was off the charts with flavor. Sooo good! Finally, I finished off with their take on cheesecake, which was the perfect conclusion to my foodie feast.
All the while, my pre-main martinis were on point, & the wine selection was immaculate as well.
Additionally, I got to meet the 2025 top sommelier of the Americas, Jorris Gutierrez Garcia, who is the sommelier on staff at this fine establishment.
I eat well in all of my work travels, but this was a top two dining experience for me & I will now make it a standard stop any time I find myself in Montreal.
Thank you Helen, Jorris, & the bartender who actually waited on me, along with the chef & kitchen staff... this was a lifetime memory for me, even as a solo traveler. ❤?
Food was good, great portions, well thought out, good attention to detail. Service was lacking, quite disappointing, surprisingly so for a fine dining restaurant in Montreal. Waiters were taking shots at the bar instead of asking if my friend needed a drink, who has been waiting for a while for a drink.
Otherwise, not much attention to detail. Bread was taken away before it was finished, food was taken away before it was finished. Empty drink glasses are not removed (1 hour & counting), just not the same level of service experienced at other restaurants in Montreal.
Dessert took 45+ minutes to come out. Not sure if they're milking the cow.
We did have one waiter in the end who was fantastic but he was probably the only one who made a true effort.
Came here for our anniversary. The food, decor, & service were all excellent. The braised piglet risotto was absolutely delicious. I am willing to say it was the best risotto I ever had. The oysters prepared 3 different ways were interesting. If anything, it was the main course that was less impressive, but still good. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience & would recommend it.
The French standard delivered at Le Club Chassé & Peche was truly spectacular. You could easily walk by the door if you weren't paying attention at this Michelin featured restaurant that is worth the price of admission. As outstanding as the service was, the food was on another level. It was our best meal & experience in Montreal & an excellent fine dining option for any special occasion.
Oustanding experience at Le Club Chasse & Pêche. The dishes were crafted to perfection - tastefully indulgent & plated with artistry & a touch of elegance. The intimate ambiance is cozy, slightly sultry, & really lovely for a date night. Service was terrific.
Undeniably one of the most elevated dining experiences in the Old Port of Montreal.
Delicious food made with fresh ingredients, friendly staff,We'll definitely be back.
The food overall was great ! But the dessert that we chose was not what we expected, it was disappointing.
We took the'Nougat glacé' which is completely different from what you would get in France... the version we received was a melted nougat.. with jelly apricot, nuts, & prune in jelly & kumquat. It felt more like an ice cream than anything that I saw online. & then the'Gâteau Yaourt' was pitiful, I mean 2 tiny cubes of yaourt ? With 3 small spheres of poached rhubarb? I understand it's all about the presentation & how it you showcase the dessert , but that was sad for a dessert... I'm sorry to say this, but it needs to be improved. If it's written'cake' I'm expecting a decent slice that you'd would receive if you ordered a chocolate mousse cake.
I'm giving you guys a 3 stars for food, because the rest was amazing, but the dessert is the final judgement in my rating.
Food was delicious with a great combination of flavors. The desserts were just average, & the service could have been much bette
