We came here on a Tuesday and had an amazing meal for dinner. Our server Hugo was attentive and knowledgeable. BEST sweetbreads ever. Meal was so good we came back for our last night in Montreal and we were served by Rachel, who did just as amazing of a job and of course we got the sweetbreads again. The chef and manager were so nice that they even gave me the recipe. Top 10 meal I have ever had

One of the best experiences I've had! Without giving up too much, this is one of the coolest places Montreal has seen in a long time!! It's full of surprises, it takes you back to a time where life was simple! The atmosphere is superb, cool and the best part is you also get to mingle with other people - my friend and I had the experience of lunching with a woman who was by herself, who was super interesting and who was loving her every bite! So this is what takes me to the food - excellent quality, extremely tasty, all made with love and care. My friend and I shared the tuna and vegetarian sandwiches, which melted in your mouth, we also each had the fried potatoe balls (a must!!!) and I had their homemade (yes, homemade) ice-cream soda float (even the ice-cream is homemade!!!). This place is full of quirky surprises, including homemade chocolate!!! The owner - super kind person; prepared everything with love and waitresses, are very welcoming, pleasant and so nice! If you haven't been yet, you're missing out!! A newly found gem of which we will visit again!! Just go see for yourselves, you will not be disappointed! Rating is deserving of a 5 on every single count!!!

Un petit bijou de restaurant sur la rue Monkland! Les sandwiches sont faits minute, les petites boules de pommes de terre, les sodas dans lesquels on peut rajouter de avec crème glacée aussi concoctée maison… tout est franchement delicieux! Mais c'est aussi toute une expérience! On remonte dans le temps et on se croirait dans les années 70! Un concept tellement bien réussi et on sort de La Folie heureux!!!

Le Petit Alep est devenu plutôt big dans l'estime du public, je crois. J'ai donc voulu découvrir ce petit bijou de notre ville. Malheureusement, j'ai d'abord été frappé par un service plutôt ordinaire. J'ai même dû arrêter le serveur avant qu'il ne prenne notre commande pour lui glisser un simple : « Bonjour, tout d'abord. » Les entrées étaient bonnes, sans toutefois être extraordinaires. Je me permets d'être un peu plus critique sur ce point puisque la cuisine syrienne est assez proche de la cuisine libanaise, dont sont issues mes origines. Quant au plat principal, il était malheureusement extrêmement salé, particulièrement le tahini, au point où les saveurs finissaient par se perdre. La carte des vins est longue. J'ai donc demandé s'il y avait un vin de la région, peut-être libanais ou, à la limite, turc. Le sommelier m'a plutôt suggéré un vin géorgien, en m'expliquant qu'il s'agissait du seul vin qui accompagnait vraiment bien leur cuisine. Étonné, je lui ai demandé d'élaborer. Son explication : Alep compte une importante communauté arménienne et, par conséquent… le vin géorgien fonctionne, semble-t-il. Je lui ai répondu, sur le ton de l'humour, qu'il venait de trouver une belle porte de sortie pour justifier sa recommandation. Monsieur a semblé plutôt offusqué. Oups. Au final, une expérience correcte, mais nettement en deçà de mes attentes considérant la réputation du Petit Alep. Une cuisine que j'aurais aimé trouver plus précise dans ses assaisonnements et, surtout, un service plus chaleureux et naturel.

Nous avons été a La Folie et c'était absolument fantastique!! Le décor est surprenant et le service hors pair! Parlons nourriture... les sandwiches sont goûteux avec des ingrédients de choix et les boules de pommes de terre j'en rêve encore !

Super endroit avec une décoration tellement originale . Pendant tout le dîner, on est plongé dans une autre époque . Le service est attentif et l'endroit très cosy est propice aux discussions ( y compris avec les voisins de table ) le menu n'est pas extensif mais tout est frais et savoureux . J'ai adoré et je vous encourage à pénétrer dans ce petit resto à remonter le temps

Les assiettes étaient copieuses. Nous avons pris 2 couscous avec jarret d'agneau et une tajine jarret d'agneau. Dans la tajine il y avait un abricot sec et deux pruneaux. Il y avait aussi plusieurs amandes. Ces dernières manquaient d'amour. Les amandes auraient pu être grillées voir même assaisonnées plutôt qu'ajoutées grossièrement à l'assiette. La sauce de la tajine était beaucoup plus goûteuse que celle du couscous qui vient à part. En entrée nous avons pris les merguez qui étaient excellentes servies avec pain pita, ainsi que l'assiette variée à partager pour deux mais nous étions trois et c'était amplement. Le service par contre a été très lent bien qu'il y avait peu de tables prises. De surcroît, le service a manqué de courtoisie. Lorsque nous avons demandé une deuxième fois pour nos plats on nous a répondu «Quand c'est bon il faut attendre». Nous n'avons pas apprécié ce commentaire. Nous sommes arrivées à 17:30 nous avons commandé un peu avant 18h et nous avons été servis à 19h. Comme nous avions un spectacle cela nous a laissé peu de temps. Le serveur avait de la difficulté avec l'explication des plats et aucun des deux venaient nous voir d'eux même. Nous avons dû les appeler pour l'eau, pour nos plats et pour notre facture. Bien dommage car malgré le bon goût en bouche que nous a laissé la nourriture l'expérience générale nous a laissé déçue. La deuxième étoile au service est pour avoir accepté de prendre une photo de nous.

We had a great dinner at Restaurant 1881. The service was excellent, we knew from previous reviews that it's very good but it was even better than expected. The menu was diverse and each of us found something we liked, the food was delicious. We were also happy with the selection of wines and beers and the recommendations from the waiter. The servings were generous. The food and drinks were reasonably priced, overall a good value for money. The atmosphere was great, very quiet as we had an early dinner. We did not expect the big screens with sport programs, but since the restaurant is associated with the gym, it's easy to understand the reason for those.

De France. Super ! Patronne sympathique et accommodante, et comme on a été de bons clients pourtant sur seulement 3 semaines, on a été royalement servis ! Je recommande sans réserve ! Deuxième appréciation : Revenus l'année suivante l'accueil fut chaleureux, la patronne nous ayant reconnus !!! Les doses sont toujours aussi généreuses et les prix serrés. Je n'en dis pas plus car on me traiterait de parti-pris ! 😂😂😂

Je viens d'avoir la plus grateuse expérience bbq de ma vie une rib constitut une portion de viande c'est tellement du vol en plein jour, 46 $ pour un plateau avec deux accompagnements et trois choix de viande, ah non j'oubliais si tu prend la côte de boeuf on va, sans te le dire , te charger 8 $ de plus que le 46, ça juste pas d'allure. La portion de brisquet contenait même pas deux mini mini tranche, comme si le restaurant manquait de nourriture. Dans les fait j'étais tellement insulté d'avoir juste eu une rib que j'ai demandé a la serveuse la moins sympatique de tout Montréal pour en avoir d'autre et sa réponse fut, non je ne peux pas on va en manquer. Je ne recommanderai jamais a personne d'aller là tellement c'est cher pour la mini potion de viande. A se compte la, offre pas de rib.

Good times. They handled our soccer team fairly well. Its always tough when 20 kids anf accompanied parents show up. Since we booked ahead of time, it would have been nice to have an extra server for our section, however, we had a dedicated server and that helped a bit, but obviously he was a bit overwhelmed. English wasnt a problem , menus for both languages. Drinks were ok, no one had any complaints about the food. I had a smoked meat sandwich and it was ok. Would have liked mustard other than big yellow, and pickle spears, but it was good.daughter had a chicke. Ceasar salad and said it was decent. All in all, way better than Boston pizza!

We made a reservation, and they made us wait for almost 1 hour. Then put us at a table near the bathroom and kitchen area. Then a bad maître d. The busboy had to be told to get water to drink. On the floor, food from the previous people. I was ashamed to have left a tip and will never recommend this place again. I have been at other Benihanas in USA Florida New York. This franchise does not respect their clients. They should lose their permit

Big breakfast in Brossard. I had the Roast Beef crepe with dijon sauce that does not overpower the flavours. Quality ingredients make this a must try for beef lovers. Hearty but not heavy, served with fresh fruit garnish and great coffee in large mugs. Staff is friendly and efficient. Get there early on the weekends.

My go-to breakfast spot! The breakfast potatoes are absolutely delicious. One thing to note is that the whole table needs to be present before they assign you a seat, so keep that in mind if you're meeting a group. I've had Jerry as my server multiple times, and his service is impeccable👏🏻honestly, some of the best service I've ever had at a restaurant. He's always so kind and professional, and it's genuinely nice to see him every time I come in. The portions are huge, the service is quick, and the food is delicious. Definitely me favourite breakfast place in the west island.

Beautiful hidden terrace in downtown Montreal, with a lovely atmosphere and very good Italian cuisine. Unfortunately, the service could use some improvement. The reception staff and some of the younger servers have difficulty communicating in either French (or sometimes English), which can make the experience a little frustrating. The wine list is also quite limited. Also worth noting: some tables are directly against and facing a wall, so I would definitely recommend requesting a specific table when making your reservation.

We stayed at the hotel and went in to enquire about vegan options for the breakfast buffet. To our pleasant surprise, other than the typical fruits, cereals, baguettes and juices, they also serve generous portions of vegan sausages, hummus, vegan toasts, oat latte and oat milk if you ask the server. They are kept at the back to avoid cross contamination so make sure you speak with them first. It's not publicly advertised but I definitely think they should! Very very friendly staff, they made sure we have everything we need. Also, kids eat free with adults. It was a pleasantly wonderful experience.

Très mauvaise expérience avec la serveuse Sharley. C'est la deuxième fois qu'elle nous sert et, malheureusement, le service est encore une fois très décevant. Elle nous a parlé de manière désagréable et avec un manque évident de respect, en plus d'un service extrêmement long. Nous avons vraiment eu l'impression de déranger. C'est dommage, car la qualité du service joue énormément dans l'expérience d'un restaurant. Après deux mauvaises expériences avec la même personne, je ne peux malheureusement pas recommander son service.
