While waiting for our food to arrive, we were quietly looking at our phones. One of the two male servers came & lectured us about using our devices'at the dinner table'. This is the second separate occurrence this exact same server has criticized us on our mobile phone usage.
It is completely unacceptable to pay for a meal only to be policed, judged, & spoken down to by condescending staff. Management seriously needs to train this individual on basic customer service boundaries.
Food:
The marinated chicken with Habarno cheese & bacon was absolutely delicious. Salad I usually only eat caesar but the house salad tasted great. House potatoes are well seasoned, don't get the other fries. Rice was most disappointing I find it's very bland & dry. Honey mustard was fire.
Service:
If it's busy it gets pretty hard to see food, I think they might benefit with another server on the floor to help out. My (authentic greek btw!) server was pretty good, I oversee the little remarks.
Atmosphere:
This restaurant is incredible lacking entertainment, there's no tvs or coloring books, speakers are low, I saw pill bottles in the kitchen sitting in front of customers? (Is this perhaps for emergencies? I don't know)
It was 2 Fridays ago & we were there at 5,50pm & the place was already full jam pack, place is not Aa fancy restaurant but it's more like home made food, dishes are abundant & tasty, the service was adequate on time, the waitres, a young girl, wait for us 6 to finish arrived, at 6,10 we were all & she came & took our order & about 15-20 minutes after everyone was eating, attention was fine, we were saying goodbye to a person & even opened some presents 🎁 & with all about 7,20 pm we were out, atmosphere was not too noisy counting that restaurant was completely full, but the place is clean & light ambience it's alright, a place that I recommend & for sure we will be coming back, ups... the menu it's fully illustrated with pictures of every dish they serve, so you can be certain of what are you buying & the appearance of the presentation, also we bring our own wine 🍷 which is very convenient many times for many reasons
Recently went for a 60th B-Day party. Service was very slow. I gatherings missing staff. My bread dish was greasy & had died food on it. I asked for a new plate, but never came. I took another plate from another table & was also dirty. During the evening I went to bathroom. It was smelly & my shoes were sticking on the floor with all the usine. If they cannot keep a bathroom clean, i am woundering what the closed kitchen looks like.
Its been a long time since I've been at vieux duluth. The food is okay, I had a pikilia which was exactly what i expected & I enjoyed, My wife the salmon & she said it was nicely cooked, they made a mistake with our side & apetizer & brought it at the end of the meal. I wouldn't order the shrimp with cheese again, it missed its mark. My friend ordered the pork souvlakis & they were not cooked at all, totally red on the inside. Personally They were too busy & couldn't handle the rush. Our waitress was definately tired. Since when to the tip prompts start at 18%? Ou service was as avarage as it gets
