No Longer. The locations are bright & airy. It helps when there is no smoking any more inside a dining establishment. The menu's offer a really wide choice of dishes to choose from & not only Souvlaki. The staff are all pleasant & efficient & help each other at all the tables. Our waiter was able to quickly answer the questions that were asked & minor changes to the main courses we ordered were not an issue. We started with a calamari dish to share while the mains were being prepared & we all commented that it was some of the tastiest & freshest we had ever enjoyed. Not a single piece was'Rubbery' that required heavy chewing. All our mains from the Chicken Au Grilloir - Shrimp - Souvlaki & Hamburger Steak were well prepared. The sides of salad & rice as accompaniments are ample. None of us complained we didn't have enough to eat & with these dishes priced between $19.95 - $24.95 the value is there.View more
Big restaurant & amazing food. Huge variety & they do everything well here. Chicken brochette was so moist & perfect. Accommodated our reservation for a very large group over 20 easily with one guy. Unfortunately under staffed but they bust their butts & did a terrific job. Highly recommend 👌View more

Perfect, perfect, perfect what a wonderful evening we had!To be exact we had a party of 10 on Saturday night. Our wonderful waiter Bobby tended to our needs from when we stepped foot inside until the second we stepped out. The pikilia entre & calamari to start was delicious! I ordered the chicken brochette it was to die for. One of the most juiciest brochette I've tasted in a long time. The prices are affordable & service was on point we will definitely be returning & booking more parties as the ambiance & service was just perfect! Would highly recommended coming to eat here.View more
I had the worst experience at this restaurant. The food was absolutely horrible. Let me tell you my experience, I came into the restaurent with a group of 8 eight on Sunday night. We placed our order to a very nice staff member who was very attentive to the table's needs. The appetizers arrived, w had the calamari & it was done very well. But when the main meal arrived, that's when it all turned south. My self & one of my dinning companions order their Spanakopita plate, another two ordered dishes with shrimp & the fifth ordered a Chicken Cesar salad. Well the first problem is that on the menu, it says " that all meal come with home fries, salad & Rice." The two of us realized that we didn't receive either the salad of potatoes. We asked the Server that I think that they forgot, only to be told that our meals didn't come with them. I asked why & she said it was indicated & I asked where & was told by the Asterix. I told her out right that it was not clear, no where on this menu did it way meal with out asterix are exclude as a main dish. If it has said " Meal with askerix come with potatoes,, etc" it would have been clear & we would have understood that ours did not, but it didn't & we felt cheated. Second problem was the meal it self, as I am accustom to & have had be served many time, Spanakopita is served hot, with a light salty taste of feta & & the Filo should be light & crispy, this was not the case, the Spanakopita was stone cold, extremely salty & the pastry was oily. This was served with a brochette of grilled vegetables were brunt & all you can taste was a terrible burnt taste. The rice was mushy & also very salty. I couldn't even get through two bites I was so disgusted. The Third problem, was the two that ordered shrimp came in a batter that was undercooked & pretty much looked like raw dough. The Fourth problem was the Caesar salad, the girl who ordered said that it has so much salsa dressing on it, that it was like eating Caesar salad soup. We tried to flag down our waitress but she was so over whelmed, because there seemed to be only two servers on the floor, that we gave up trying. When she finally did come around, we told of the problem & said she'd talk with the manager, she did apologize on their behalf. . But She came back a few minutes later took away the plates & then gave us the bill. No mention of anything from the manager/owner, no table visit from them either. I mean if a client is unhappy & word is sent back to them you'd think they would have at least come to the table & apologized, I would have accept that. But got nothing at all. So we got the bill, paid just under a 100$ & left, we received no deduction ( I wasn't expecting anything, but you know the meal was even a quarter eaten, but that's beside the point.) or apologies from anyone with authority except once from the waitress, who was only doing her job. When asked by my dinning partners & I told them nothing had been done, they were shocked. I will never go back to Au Vieux Duluth as long as I live & breathe. It was absolute garbage. But my theory is the Management/Owner sees us nothing more than rubes to cheat us out of our money. My recommendation is that you go anywhere but to this restaurant, there is a Chenoy's & a Scores down the road or A McDonald across the parking lot that could prepare a better meal than this place.
Loved the chicken brochette plater...cooked perfectly & delicious will definitely go backView more
Food was just fine (only if you're very hungry). Calamari is just okay, nothing special, overcooked pork souvlaki, overcooked rice cooked with to much water, soggy salad which I think was sitting on its dressing for too long, bland potatoes, chicken strips for kids meal was dry. Regarding service, the place was half full, mean busy, there's only 1 waiter, 1 receptionist which help with the food & 1 who always fill-up water (He's nice though an always keeps refilling cold water). So this means that they're always on a rush. People kept coming in, Waiter never asks us for a drink if we need one, the kids meal on the menu says it includes a drink & an ice cream, waiter never give us anyhing or even asks us that it comes with it. So meaning, the price that we paid ($139 + tip) I think, in my opiniin, is not worth it. Food is not bad but not good either, we will never come back. Luckily we are very hungry that we ate everything, we paid for it anyway, we don't want to waste food. Casa Greque nearby was 10 times better but sadly it's already closed. Butterflied shrimps & bread & butter was good though.View more
