This was easily the worst restaurant meal we have ever had. I take no pleasure in leaving bad review, but wow. The cocktails were nothing to brag home about, either (especially not for $20 a drink!). We both had the pasta of the week, which were $38/person for 3 stuffed shells with ricotta. The'sauce' it came with was essentially water with an extreme amount of salt. To top it off, it was served with almost raw, unseasoned radicchio that did not compliment the meal. The portion size was not remotely enough, either. I understand that for some of the plates, the idea is to take a few and share, but we are two small women who left this restaurant almost $150 lighter and still hungry. We overheard the table next to us sending the food back because of the salt level and poor seasoning, so we were clearly not the only disappointed customers. As for service, not once were our water glasses refilled in the 1.5hours we were there. I imagine this restaurant's hype is through social media and bought 5-star reviews.

I moved into the area about 7 years ago and Nikas was always my local choice as the food was fresh and good. I always recommended this place. Over the last year I eat in restaurants less as my friend and I are both Chefs, now retired who have run Hotel kitchens and trained cooks, so we prefer to eat at home. Over the past few months whenever we have gone to Nikas we have noticed some changes in the food; it is no longer as fresh and good as we were used to expect. I realize, this is a mid-range restaurant but the food was always good and tasty; it isn't any longer. The attitude in the Kitchen was also client friendly. Just over 2 weeks ago we stopped in for dinner and both had the grilled fillet of sole. My friend has a gluten allegy and asked the her sole not be coated with any breading or flour and she detailed the reasons why to the waiter. She has had this on numerous occassions in the past without issue. This time it came to the table with a flour coating. She pointed this out to the waiter who returned it to the Kitchen. When he came back he stated that the Chef told him,'this is how we make it .' The waiter was pleasant and understanding, so the fault was not his. I informed him that my friend asked for this in advance, that her requests had always been satisfied and that the cooking proccess is simple. Just put the fresh fish on the oiled grill, sprinkle it with a bit of salt and pepper. I further, mentioned that we have been loyal clients and that we were both Chefs who have managed major kitchens with numerous cooks under us, so we know what we are talking about. A bit later he came back with another sole plate minus the flour coating. It was a bit under cooked, but she ate it anyway. The Greek potaotes lacked any flavour. We ate and left, thanking the waiter, who said that there have been some issues in the Kitchen lately with the cook. At Lunch today, a friend, who has lived in the area previously and also liked Nikas, and I met up. He had a Sub and I had a Western Omelette minus the ham. My Omelette arrived dark brown and crusty. I looked like hell and tasted worse. mealy in fact. The potatoes had no flavor. I had 2 bites and left the plate uneaten. I enjoyed the coffee and chatted with my friend, who felt his Sub was just OK. I paid the bill and we left. As a Chef, I rarely ever complain about a meal, even a sub-par meal. I prefer to never go back and pass on my'experience' to others. This Western Omelette was disgusting and a disgrace to even serve. I will never return to what used to be my'go to' local restaurant. Has this place changed owners and/or Cook?

Heureuse découvete à l'enseigne de la qualité. Emplacement privilégié en face de l'ancienne gare du Nord et stationnement. Les nouveaux proprios (Juliette de Montréal et Hugo de Toulouse) ont aménagé une buvette à l'allure rustique avec une belle terrasse surplombant la rue. Nous avons trouvé l'accueil sympa et le service attentif. Mais, tout compte fait, c'est au fruit que l'on juge l'arbre. D'abord, le menu présente un vaste choix de cafés, l'allongé n'a pas déçu. Les oeufs, commandés avec des instructions spécifiques étaient parfaits, le saumon fumé savoureux et le pain à l'épautre délicieux. Nous avons quitté en nous promettant d'y revenir sans faute. En somme, Causette nous a fait passer un très bel après-midi en nous faisant profiter de la nature qui l'entoure et de sa cuisine fidèle aux produits locaux frais et de qualité.

Trop cher à mon goût. Un plat à partager à 2 à $102 avec une seule tranche de pain (à partager aussi on a supposé) C'est petit !!! Portion moyenne pour les viandes Les burgers ne sont pas accompagnés de frites, faut les prendre en supplément. Les ribs sont servis dans un plateau sur une feuille de cuisson, pas dans une assiette. La musique très forte. Je n'y reviendrai pas.

Last Sunday, I ordered a filet mignon med-rare. When the steak arrived it was very rare, I ask the waitress to have it cooked a bit more. 15 minutes later, she brought me the same steak, rare again and cold. My 3 other friends were almost finished eating. So I asked for her to take it back and she was very mad and brought me again the same steak this time very well done. When it was time to pay, they refused to take their responsibility and they charge me full price. The attitude of the waitress was very offensive and she argued with my friends and me. Finally she gave me 15% rebate. I really don't recommend this restaurant, I have never been treated that way in a restaurant.

Une autre délicieuse soirée chez Les Cavistes. On a débuté avec le combo huîtres et champagne. Les huîtres étaient charnues et savoureuses, très fraîches. Ensuite on a dégusté la tartelette aux tomates en entrée, très fin. En plat principal, les poissons du moment étaient cuits à la perfection et les accompagnements étaient bien choisis, autant que les sauces juste comme il faut. Mention à notre serveur pour sa suggestion de vin blanc d'Allemagne, un pur délices. Les Cavistes c'est une excellente adresse avec une qualité de prestation constante.

C' est un peu plus cher mais les portions généreuses. Très bonne cuisine authentique et que dire des desserts sublimes ! Au centre du quartier des théâtres et apporter votre vin.

J'ai commandé un bol au poulet et à la mangue. J'en ai mangé dans plusieurs restaurants et dans différentes villes, donc je sais généralement à quoi m'attendre. Malheureusement, j'ai été très déçue. Le bol contenait une quantité excessive de laitue qui recouvrait presque tous les autres ingrédients. Le riz était extrêmement froid, tous les ingrédients étaient mélangés ensemble et la présentation n'était pas du tout soignée. De plus, l'apparence du cuisinier m'a laissée avec une mauvaise impression quant au niveau de soin et d'hygiène de l'établissement. C'est dommage, car le concept est intéressant, mais la qualité de la préparation et de la présentation est vraiment à revoir.

I really like this place but unfortunately last time their Steak sub it was not what it used to be! It was full of fat and chewy parts that I couldn't eat! Please keep the good quality like before! It was honestly disappointing to see the bad meat quality

I was really disappointed with my experience at Casa Galicia. The restaurant is very small and extremely noisy. The flamenco performances might be entertaining at first, but they quickly become overwhelming because of the constant loud music. On top of that, every few minutes the staff gathers around another table to sing'Happy Birthday.' It's a nice gesture once or twice, but after hearing it over and over, it becomes disruptive rather than enjoyable. The service was also incredibly slow. To make matters worse, our waiter accidentally spilled sangria on my shirt while pouring drinks. Instead of apologizing sincerely, he laughed and said,'Thank God it wasn't red sangria,' and kept laughing. I found that very unprofessional. Finally, the prices are far too high for the overall experience. Between the slow service, the excessive noise, and the lack of professionalism, I was not impressed. This was my first visit, and it will definitely be my last. UPDATE (in response to the owner): Thank you for the apology. While I agree that accidents happen, the issue is how it was handled afterward. A professional restaurant would have immediately offered to have the shirt cleaned or provided a small gesture to make up for the spill, which did not happen. Furthermore, the overall service was bad; even the dessert included in my meal had to be asked for twice. It simply wasn't the level of care or service one would expect.

We went there this last weekend to celebrate my father's birthday. Our waiter was so kind and welcoming, he made our experience so worth writing for. Beautiful dancing to accompany and amazing meal. Thank you for the wonderful memories.

Finding a steakhouse that serves world-class steaks is one thing; finding one that can seamlessly handle a bachelor party of 14 guys without missing a beat is a rare miracle. From the moment we walked in, the staff treated us like royalty. Usually, a group of our size gets shoved into a cramped corner or stuck with agonizingly slow service, but the hospitality here was incredibly sharp, fast, and accommodating. The pictures of the food don't do it justice. We got a seafood tower (forgot to take that picture), delicious salad, and naturally a steak cooked to perfection. To accompany the food, the cocktails were superb. The old fashions and espresso martinis kept coming. Just make sure you leave room for their cheesecake.

We had a very pleasant evening and a delicious dinner at Da Vinci Restaurant during our visit to Montreal. We love Italian food and appreciated an authentic menu and nice wine selections. We ordered salads, a fish dish, and risotto. There were many other options that I'm sure are also great. In addition to the food, our service was superlative, beginning with a greeting at the door upon arrival, some fun conversation, and a warm farewell. The restaurant is comfortable, calm, and nicely decorated. We will definitely return when we are in the city next time!

The food was very good and the prices were pretty decent. The place gives a Miami retro 80-90's diner vibe. The is a parking lot which is very rare to find on Sherbrooke so that's a big plus. The only issue I find is that the place does look old and quite a few tiles are crack up. Nothing wrong with the service and food only the atmosphere feels a bit old.

If I could give this restaurant more than five stars, I would. Our waiter was very informative about the gluten-free options and made sure that the appetizers that my non-celiac boyfriend ordered were gluten free so that I could try them! Never thought I'd try beef tartare in my life, but when the dish came out with [very tasty] gluten-free crackers I simply had to - it was delicious. My shrimp entrée was amazing. Because there was a dedicated gluten-free fryer, I had to try the French fries too… they were perfectly crispy. Stellar service and good overall. Holder is a must-go for celiacs in Montreal!

Excellente expérience chez Hang's Deli Bar! Les ailes de poulet étaient délicieuses, bien croustillantes et généreusement servies. Le service a aussi été très apprécié. J'avais demandé la sauce à part, mais l'assiette est arrivée avec la sauce. La serveuse a immédiatement retourné le plat en cuisine, même si l'erreur venait du cuisinier. Ils ont même refait l'assiette, ce qui n'était pas nécessaire, mais démontre leur souci de satisfaire leurs clients. Une belle attention et un excellent service à la clientèle. J'y retournerai avec plaisir!

Excellente pizzeria avec un très grand choix de pizzas. Cette fois, j'ai essayé la Pollo Nostro, et elle était délicieuse. La pâte est fraîche, la saveur est excellente et les ingrédients sont de bonne qualité. L'ambiance est agréable, le personnel est accueillant et le service est rapide. Les prix sont raisonnables pour la qualité offerte. Une très belle adresse que je recommande sans hésiter.
