Bien bon.
Overrated for a « Grande Table du Monde » . For a 7-course dinner in this price range you can & you should expect more. Most dishes were not really creative to say the least & somewhat half-hearted with some components not being well seasoned despite their felt high quality (for example the amuse-bouche consisting of seasonal vegetables in dashi broth was very monotonous, the fish dish was rather flat, the celery gratin coming with the main meat dish lacking salt, cold & not rather simplistic, with it came sautéed mushrooms which were also missing « pep »). The service is good & in line with what you can expect from a more high-end restaurant. Ambiente is overall relatively simple, nothing to write books about. I have been at different « Grandes Tables du Monde » restaurants in France, Germany & Belgium & they can not really be compared. Translated into Michelin stars, this would barely be 1 Michelin star based on the menu I had today unfortunately. Nonetheless, the prices compare to a 2 to 3 Michelin star restaurant in Europe. It's a pity because I had high expectations given the restaurant's status in Montreal.

Overall, very good experience. I highly recommend it. In the vicinity of a lot of businesses, a nice spot to dine in a professional setting. The vibe is mainly professional during weekdays. We went for lunch, the menu was varied that it could please any taste. The staff are very friendly & accommodating.
Had a satisfying experience at lunch with a colleague. Staff were cordial & friendly, while maintaining a professional demeanor. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Yannick, our server, provided recommendations with appropriate descriptions in a more or less candid manner, which was appreciated. Timeliness of delivery was good, & detailed descriptions of the courses & provenance provided. My colleague & I were very satisfied with both our entrées & main courses. The veal tartare & suckling pig being the highlights, although the beef tatami was also quite satisfying. The sticky toffee apple date dessert was good, but having recently been to North Africa, the desserts featuring dates there were hard to beat. Prices were quite reasonable, given the quality & reputation of the venue. Staff were kind enough to let us linger well after closing. A quality establishment all round.
At a cost of over $1,100 for a group of four, the experience was wholly unsatisfying. We dined here last week & chose the 7-course tasting menu. Five of the dishes were mediocre/ok, & two were unpalatable. Unfortunately, the evening was made worse by the incessant presence of fruit flies for the latter half of the evening. -- The service was subpar. Example 1) When multiple dishes went uneaten, the staff didn't enquire as to why // or offered any alternatives. Example 2) We told our server one of our guests was allergic to seafood & another was vegan - unfortunately, we were all given strictly vegan dishes (because, I assume, it was less work) - it was only on the fifth dish, when this was communicated to the server - that the last two dishes served contained any meat (one of which was a dessert).
I was excited to visit Toque, a name on the canadas100best list we've yet to check off. We were a party of 4, two of which are vegans. We called ahead to verify the restaurant could accommodate 2 vegan tasting menus & 2 regular tasting menus. The restaurant confirmed it would be no problem, both over the phone & at the restaurant. Unfortunately there was a communication issue with the kitchen & we all ended up with vegan dishes. I'm open to vegan food, but we were looking forward to the regular 7 course experience. When confronting the staff, they acknowledged their mistake & offered us an extra quail dish, which was a nice gesture but made things a bit awkward as our vegan friends waited. The restaurant is a bit dated, especially the staff uniforms. Although clean, the fruit flies around our food & drinks was definitely a downer. Considering the reputation & what we paid, I expected more from Toque. It was a disappointing dining experience, that stems from poor service.

Restaurants in Montréal serving lunch seem to be a bit of a rarity these days, so I was very happy to find that Restaurant Toqué is still serving their table d'hôte! It was a great experience from start to finish, with the set menu offering a wide variety of choices to suit all tastes. Presentation of each dish was second-to-none & the paired wines were all excellent. The restaurant seems to be in that perfect niche where it could work equally well for both a casual or more formal meal, there were some tourists but there were also plenty of corporate diners, understandable given how few of the best restaurants in Montréal are open for lunch! Service throughout the afternoon from Clara was excellent. She explained all the items perfectly & kept my glass topped up throughout the service. So merci to Clara for helping make this lunch go so smoothly! Overall a really enjoyable experience & a fantastic way to while away the hours. Would definitely recommend for a memorable meal in Montréal.
10/10. A must! Service is spot on. Food was next level enjoyable (wow wow wow). & the atmosphere was comfortable, chic, & quirky! Very upscale but worth it for sure. Portions were actually larger than expected - I never say that.
They were so exceptional! Their food was divine & so exquisitely prepared & presented. They were accommodating to our small child & a highchair was available.
Everything about Toque! is fantastic! From the service to the most delectable menu items! & they were so very accommodating of our 9 month old child! Thank you so much for an incredible experience.

Service was very good. Food was good, but a little bit underwhelming. The tasting menu was interesting. I would try again but not sure it was worth the price. Perhaps my palette is not sophisticated enough for this restaurant. The desserts were very good.
I actually enjoyed the meal I had at Toque. The biggest issue to the meal was the service. Our server kept disappearing & when he was visible, appeared to be chatting it up with his coworkers. During this time, we've accumulated empty cocktail glasses & wanted to close our check. Not sure if it was indifference on his part, but he could not be bothered.
