Fantastic dining experience! Attentive & well paced service. Food was exceptional, from the presentation of each dish, to the high quality ingredients & wine pairings! Highly recommend for a special event, important business lunch or simply to treat yourself for a great dining experience.
Le Toque earns their high marks. The three of us chose from the ala carte menu. We split four first courses & had our own entrees. The presentation was well done. We all enjoyed everything we ordered. The service was attentive & helpful. Timing was not rushed. We had a leisurely dinner & a wonderful time. Would highly recommend! I've traveled > 5 M miles across Europe, Asia & the US & I will remember Le Toque. Great job Team Le Toque.
Toqué is a culinary gem that truly delivers an exceptional dining experience through its "menu dégustation". From start to finish, this restaurant exuded excellence in service, presentation, & taste. Upon stepping into Toqué, we were greeted with impeccable service that set the tone for the evening. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, & made us feel welcomed & at ease throughout the dining experience. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the seven-course tasting menu that proved to be a culinary journey like no other. Each dish was not only beautifully plated but also showcased a careful balance of flavors that left us wanting more. From the first bite to the last, every course was a delightful surprise, showcasing the chef's mastery in combining ingredients to create a symphony of taste. My girlfriend, Julie, & I were thoroughly impressed by the thoughtful execution of each dish & appreciated the attention to detail in every aspect of the meal. ... & the champagne pairing was excellent.

Recently dined at Toqué! in Montreal & was thoroughly impressed. The food was exceptional, showcasing a perfect blend of creativity & flavor. Each dish was a delight, both in presentation & taste, reflecting the high standards of the kitchen. The overall dining experience was just as remarkable, with attentive service & a welcoming ambiance. I would highly recommend for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience.
Had a satisfying experience at lunch with a colleague. Staff were cordial & friendly, while maintaining a professional demeanor. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Yannick, our server, provided recommendations with appropriate descriptions in a more or less candid manner, which was appreciated. Timeliness of delivery was good, & detailed descriptions of the courses & provenance provided. My colleague & I were very satisfied with both our entrées & main courses. The veal tartare & suckling pig being the highlights, although the beef tatami was also quite satisfying. The sticky toffee apple date dessert was good, but having recently been to North Africa, the desserts featuring dates there were hard to beat. Prices were quite reasonable, given the quality & reputation of the venue. Staff were kind enough to let us linger well after closing. A quality establishment all round.
Toque was disappointing. The meal, served over four hours, was mostly forgettable. The service was fine, but was at times stuffy & both over & under attentive.
Our group of five, including a vegetarian, got the tasting menu. To their credit, a few dishes stood out. They were: the airy, salty & rich corn amuse bouche (which everyone received); the light & refreshing tomato gazpacho (vegetarian only); the deeply flavored tomato tart (vegetarian only); the scallops, a smooth mix of buttery, briny & pickled flavors; & the best dish, the dessert, a refreshing mixture of fruit, texture & taste.
Unfortunately, most of the remaining dishes, including the main courses, lacked creativity or flavor. The vegetarian main course was a mediocre pasta with vegetables. The meat main course was pigeon, which was tough & bland. Meats & flavors were repeated throughout the meal, but not in novel ways.
If you're looking for a dynamic, exciting meal, I would recommend looking elsewhere. We enjoyed several of the city's upscale wine bars here that served inspired, creative dishes.
