I went to The Keg Steakhouse in Montreal for my birthday dinner & absolutely loved both the food & drinks. It's easily one of my favourite spots for celebrating special occasions. The portions were generous, & everything was flavourful & satisfying. The atmosphere felt warm & inviting, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. It's definitely on the pricier side, but for the quality, service, & overall experience, it's completely worth it.

I mentioned a dietary restriction to our waiter. After our initial order, he brought out the manager to consult in detail, uncovering an unexpected ingredient in the side I initially chose. This is a level of attention to detail I rarely encounter, & I really appreciate their extra effort to spare me a deeply unpleasant night. Top notch!
Visited The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Place Ville Marie with fairly high expectations & left somewhat underwhelmed.
The steak tartare was disappointing. It was overpowered by parsley & the portion was very small. The scallops with bacon were a decent size, but the quality of the scallops did not impress.
The rib steak was good. On the positive side, the wine pricing was fair. I ordered a Barolo I know well & it was about double retail plus a small markup, which is reasonable for a restaurant.
Service was excellent & easily the highlight of the evening.
Food is excellent.
Service was nice.
Delivery of food was slow. Our sauces had a film from drying out. Our steaks were not warm. Still delicious though!

Our experience here was completely ruined by a waiter who was highly inappropriate & racist. He made us feel incredibly unwelcome right away by asking'where are you from?' & explicitly stating,'Toronto has more Indians & you might feel more comfortable there.' Unprompted, he continued to brag about his Master's in Economics in what felt like a clear attempt to talk down to us. He then claimed he could speak Hindi because he'had an Indian roommate,' before proceeding to butcher the language, making the situation even more uncomfortable. It is incredibly disappointing to spend time & money traveling to Montreal only to be subjected to such blatant microaggressions. Management needs to address this behavior immediately.
Wait time was a little long in spite of having reservations however, we were grateful to have a friendly waiter who made sure we were pleased. The classic burger was very good & so was the Mac & cheese. I would recommend if you are a tourist visiting Montreal

Our experience was a 5/5. Vincent was very attentive & made sure we were taken care of no matter how busy it got. Food was amazing. Definitely recommend!
I went here for my 65th birthday. One person in our party of 4 had an onion allergy. The servers & staff took extreme measure to insure that everything was good for this person. One of the managers made 3 trips to our table to insure everything was good for this person. I must say we were all impressed with their level of care for the safety of their patrons. The food as always at the Keg eas fantastic.
& to top it off, the person with the allergy left their bag behind but before we got to far they called us of the item left behind. Again great attention to details.
